Why won't my links palette display any links?

Is this a common bug? The links palette will not display any links for ANY documents. They do not show as missing or broken, there is just an empty palette window.

Try restoring your InDesign preferences. Here's how:

Why won't the horizontal orientation display any longer?

I am currently working on some layouts for DPS, and have both Horizontal and Portrait views of my document in separate .indd files. Up until today, I have been able to view both portrait and horizontal orientations in the Adobe Content Viewer, but now it is only showing portrait. I have double checked the iPad's orientation, and the orientation lock is OFF. I also attempted to delete the Content Viewer and re-loaded it onto my iPad, and it has not resolved the issue.
Does anyone have any feedback about this problem or encountered it before?

AFAIK Quicktime has never natively played Flash files. For that you need Flash Player.

The Adobe Flash patch can be found on Adobe’s website, and users can visit this page to check if their software is the most curent version.

In what app? As an email attachment? In another PP compatible iOS app?
Sometimes there are formatting issues with going from the MS office version of a document and opening it in an iOS app that is compatible with the MS file. The apps that are compatible with the MS Office suite of apps do not always open and display on the iPad the same way that they do in Office on your computer.
The iPad is not a full blown computer by any means and this is one of those trade offs that you sometimes have to accept if you want to use the iPad instead of a computer.

Assuming the MP620 is connected to your wireless network, then there are two components to this device - the printer and the scanner. The printer uses Canon proprietary software while the scanner is supported by Apple's Bonjour service. So in many cases, you will at least see the scanner, shown as Bonjour Scanner in the Kind column, while the printer can take longer to appear and is shown as canonijnetwork in the Kind column. If you cannot see either then you have a network issue. Try turning off the MP620 for a minute and then turning back on. Then see if the scanner / printer component appears in the Add Printer window. If you still don't see either, then confirm the MP and the Mac are using the same network. If you know the MP's IP address you can use Network Utility to Ping the address. You can also enable Bonjour Bookmarks in Safari preferences and when selected, the MP620 should appear.

If that doesnt work, "double" click on the home button and swipe to the end then tap on the end icon and see if that works

Why won't my iPad 2 load any websites?

It will load on every network except for my network at home. It will load the home page of the browser only, and it will let me navigate around the home page by clicking on the links. However, when I search on the search engine, or type in the url, it won't load anything and eventually says "cannot load page" or something similar. I have tried on two different Browsers I have on the device. It will give e-mail and Facebook notifications, but won't load any of the content when I go to the app.
I just tried erasing all of its data and reprogramming it and it didn't improve any. Every other device and computer connects to our wifi and works fine, except for my iPad. The iPad connects to other wifi networks just fine as well.
What I did was a erased the DNS settings and let them re-load them. It worked the first couple times, but a couple minutes later, the DNS reset to the bad settins, and then I had a re-do the process over and over again every couple minutes to get it to connect to the internet again. Now, it isn't working that way at all anymroe.

Why won't my 20" cinema display work with an HP laptop / Vista

I have my 20" cinema display connected to my hp laptop (using vista) under hardware, and a few other places it shows that the monitor is detected, but I can't get a picture to show on the monitor no matter what I do. It stays black, even though it is detected. Has anyone else had an experience with this?

the option(s) that it gives you are the recommended resolutions as determined by the "handshake" that happens between the monitor and computer (sort of a pre-UPnP standard). you can always press the advanced button and then manually select any resolution / display rate that your graphics card is capable of displaying.
what was the option, by the way? what resolution and display rate?
the resolution should be 1680x1050 and the refresh rate can probably be anything from 60 to 80 Hz.

I can see the first page. But when I attempt to see the second page, by swiping with two fingers or hitting the tiny dot, the second page appears for a moment, but then returns to the first page. I have tried closing all my open applications. This is new behavior. I have Mtn Lion.

Symbian can be rather stupid and annoying. If you have a contact with multiple numbers in it. Symbian will not show you which number you're calling or receiving, you would have to dig into the details submenus to find out. This is real annoying as a friend called me with his office number the other day. So when I tried to call back later in the evening by selecting his name from the call records, no one answered because I didn't know that he used his office number to call. The little graphic icon next to the caller's name is also pretty much useless and erratic because it will resort to always display the mobile phone icon (in the call history) regardless of the type of number I saved it in the phone book. Also I don't have any caller ID software installed right now so this is pretty annoying.

Agree - the Log screen really should be Green-button-enabled... Still, it does show the number, though the graphic number always tends to be for the Home phone...

Why won't my ipod 5 sync any music since i updated itunes to 11.3?

About two days before I updated to itunes 11.3, i downloaded some mp3 songs to itunes then to my ipod, and they worked perfectly. then i updated itunes from 11.0 to 11.3, made a playlist out of those latest songs, & tried to send that playlist to my ipod. Only one of eight of those songs work now, even though they still work perfectly on itunes. i get a dotted circle next to the songs on my ipod, and no matter if it's connected with a usb or over wifi, those dotted circles never change.
i've tried deleting anything off of my ipod- songs, photos, apps, etc- but now anytime i delete a song off of my ipod, i get the dotted circle if i try to send it from itunes to my ipod again. I have about 4gigs left of space. I really don't want to restore my ipod, because some of the content on there is not on my computer or cloud anymore.
Any bit of relevant advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Why won't my CDs/DVDs play any more!?!?

Hi knowledgeable and helpful peeps here's a problem for you... my CD drive suddenly seems to have stopped working. It seems to coincide with the latest iTunes update. Used to work fine before, was able to rip CDs with no problems. Now it won't work! Looking at the device properties for the drive it still says 'this device is working properly' (when it clearly aint!) When I put a CD in, the light flashes and every so often the cursor changes to a little cd icon then changes back to normal, and ultimately nothing happens! They're not recognised in iTunes or any other media player. I ran the CD diagnostics in iTunes and here's what it said:-

Some computers need an update to the ATA or IDE bus driver, or Intel chipset. If iTunes has problems recognizing CDs or hanging or crashing while importing or burning CDs, check the support site for the manufacturer of your computer or motherboard.

But there IS a CD in the drive! Can anyone help? I'm not very knowledgeable about PC's but have tried all the troubleshooting/help programs on Windows with no luck. So frustrating! Well what your describing isn't really a itunes issue, its more an issue with either "The System or windows" OR its a issue with the drive itself.
You need to see if windows can read from the drive by putting a CD in the drive, then going to "My COmputer" and clicking on the drives icon or rightclickthing the icon/drive and selecting "Open"
Also goto the PC makers site and install BIOS, chipset and CD ROM FIrmware updates

Why won't dynamic link work?

I've just signed up for the creative cloud hoping that dynamic link between PP and AE would work and it's greyed out in PP. Nor can I drag a sequence from PP to AE. The error message says "failed to connect to Adobe Premiere Pro Dynamc Link". Does anyone have any suggestions? Does it matter that After effects was bought as a single app and PP was on the creative cloud?

Hi Richard, I've updated so both are CC 2014 and it works fine. Thank you. My aim now is to work out how to go from PP to AE, make changes in AE and have it update in PP. Or can you only make changes in AE and it updates in PP? I've got some Gopro footage that I want to put into AE and remove the fisheye with Optics Compensation but have it update in PP. Do I have to render out in AE and import back into PP? I'm trying my best not to lose quality by having to crunch the footage two and three times.

Why won't my Itunes store display on screen?

I have an old Mac OS X Version 10.6.8
I have been having a few issues recently, one of which is that when I try to open my Itunes store, this happens.
Another is that my safari is old, and when I haven't been able to update as my version is too old to take any update form the Apple website, meaning that mine is extremely slow. Don't know if the two problems are interlinked. I am using the Safari below
If someone could help I would appreciate it, I am halfway through a dissertation and really want my Mac running at its optimal level like it used to.

Why won't this Applet work? Any help?

I followed a tutorial, though the tutorial left me to do a lot of the work. Which is good.
Anyway, I finished the Applet, but I get a message in the bottom corner of the window saying "Applet not initialized."
I can't figure out what's wrong.
I downloaded the tutorial's source code and checked it, and I think I have everything they do... I tried running the downloaded source code and it worked fine.
