my music shows up on my computer but can not be found. i have quick time but still nothing. bought a new iPad. no music transfer and can not play the music on my computer even

I had this issue when I first upgraded my Iphone4 to ios5. All my music appeared on my device as they always have but they would not play. The computer has to be authorized for the account that purcchased the media.
What error message are you getting when you try to lauthorize the computer for that account?

Why won't my music play out loud anymore?

I usually plug my iPhone into my radio and the sound bar disappears, I'm used to that and when I'd unplug it it'd be back and my music would play out loud no problem.
Well as of yesterday it doesn't play outloud. My alarm wouldn't even go off this morning , my ringtone will go off no problem when I get a call or text. But to play music I don't get the sound bar. I can plug my headphones in at it appears.
I've shut my phone off and restarted it.
I also held the sleep button and home button to reboot it .

Try inserting and removing the headphones several times in a row to try to release the mechanism that has not released which currently indicates the headphones remain inserted when they are not. The ringtone for a call will go off regardless if headphones are inserted - for those with headphones inserted and being used that may remove the headphones from their ears and set the phone down temporarily without removing the headphones from the iPhone - so a call won't be missed.

I just had my XM player stop working with 3.6.10. It was working with that version before though -- I upgraded my system and it stopped working after the upgrade. That upgrade required a full reinstall of Firefox. I found some clues here and I did get it working. This behavior is odd: I figured I'd try running it in the IE Tab 2 plugin since the player works fine in IE when it fails in Firefox. As expected, it worked fine in IE Tab 2. So that's a solution. But here's what's strange. After that it also started working fine in a regular Firefox tab again. Then it gets stranger. For some reason I saw that my Flashblock add-in was gone. I added that back in and the XM Player stopped working again (I have the XM sites whitelisted and they've worked forever that way). I uninstalled and reinstalled Flashblock and IE Tab 2 and also reinstalled Flash, trying a few different install sequences (ordering). Still nothing. But the old IE Tab 2 trick worked again: I ran it there, killed that tab then it ran fine without IE Tab 2. What you see when it fails is a different player appearance. The controls look different. The volume slider is an increasing slope sort of look versus a straight left-to-right volume control when it works. And the controls in IE Tab 2 are different from both of those. So it seems there's something about plug-ins that may be confusing XM about which player they think they should use.

Have you tried a set of headphones that work in other devices?
To rule out a software problem try in order:
- Reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home

If still have a problem you likely have a problem with the headphone jack and you need to get the iPod or jack replaced.

Thank you for your detailed question. It sounds like the real issue is pdf files. Are there any antivirus/firewalls that might be blocking this specific file type? or are there any preferences in your control panel that might be blocking this?

Use the Apple ID support -> http://www.apple.com/support/appleid/ - click through the contact information and select the iTunes, etc., hot button. You can have Apple call you or email them.

A computer USB port does not provide enough power to charge and run the iPad at the same time but it will charge it if the iPad is turned off. It will take about four times as long to charge than with the iPad charger.
The Contacts icon may be inside a folder, such as Utilities.
There is no Facetime icon. Start a Facetime link from a contact.

Why won't Front Row play movies located in my iPhoto Library?

I currently have a little over 300 short movies from my digital cameras. I keep them in subfolders located at /Users/shared/Shared Movies/digital camera movies/ and Front Row plays them just fine under each user account since each user has an alias to /Users/shared/Shared Movies/ located in their "movies" folder within their home folder.
Recently a buddy convinced me to import my short digicam movies into iPhoto as an easier way to organize the short .mov and .avi files. I have over 14K image files in my library so I liked the idea of browsing my video shorts using iPhoto. I created a smart album in iPhoto for all file names ending with .avi or .mov and that works great to quickly locate the relatively few video files in the sea of digital stills.
BUT... WHY won't Front Row locate or play the movies that are located inside of iPhoto's Library? Did they just forget this functionality? Front Row's Video player displays Video Podcasts located in iTunes why wouldn't there also be an automagic category that appears in Front Row for movies located in your iPhoto Library?!
Front Row chokes if I attempt to play the smart "movies" album I created in iPhoto. It just keeps spinning the little "train tracks" progress thingy and never shows a movie. I finally just hit the menu button on the remote to "back out" of that selection.
The other work around I tried to play these movies located in iPhoto was a smart folder located at /Users/shared/Shared Movies/ that displays filenames that contain .mov and .avi located in my iPhoto library folder. This doesn't work. Front Row's Video player will not display the movies found by a smart folder the same way it does for an alias to a folder or file.
I don't want to keep duplicate copies of these movie files on my HD. I'll have to keep them located outside of iPhoto so I can enjoy browsing and watching them "on demand" using Front Row.
What is the fix? Work around?

Thanks for the suggestion but that isn't an option. Think about how iPhoto stores images and movies you import into the photo library. It will import files originally located in one folder and scatter them by storing all the files in hundreds of folders and subfolders based on date. Originally I had my movies in my home movie folder and even used an alias to the shared movies. That all works fine and it isn't the issue. The issue is when you try to use the only tool Apple provides to organize your digital images, both still and moving pictures. Once you import your movies into the iPhoto Library they become invisible to Front Row's video player.
Once iPhoto imports my 300+ files and scatters them into hundreds of subfolders based on the date -how in the world would you even begin to maintain aliases in a folder that point to these files. That is NOT an option, who would do that?! That is why I decided to try the smart folder since it would dynamically locate all the files with .mov and .avi in the file name located within the iPhoto library. Good idea but Front Row will not play these files listed in the result set of a smart folder. It will follow an alias but not play the contents of a smart folder.
Front Row should handle movie files within the iPhoto library the same way it deals with videos within the iTunes library. Poor design, oversight, bug, whatever -it should be fixed. There should be an automatic category that appears under the Front Row video player for "Movies in iPhoto" and if you have no movies in your library it displays something like it does when you have no video podcasts, or no TV shows, or no music videos in iTunes. Come on, how many users have those items vs. an iPhoto library with movies from their digital cameras? I bet more users have movies from their digital cameras that currently drop through a gaping hole in the design of Front Row if they use iPhoto to manage their digicam movie files.

Why won't my stereo play AirTunes?

I recently purchased a second AirPort Extreme to place in my living room so that I can play AirTunes off of my living room stereo (A JVC Compact Component System -- about 5 years old). I have both Airport's networked successfully -- the green lights are on, etc. In fact, I can even ever so faintly hear my iTunes music playing through the speakers when I sit right next to them and am using the Monster mini-to-RCA left/right audio cable that just came with my AirPort Express connection kit. However, that is it. I really can't hear anything being played over my speakers unless I put my ear right up next to them.
The volume/speakers work great when I'm not using them to play AirTunes. I've also tried using the Monster mini-to-optical digital Toslink audio cable and an the Toslink cable connected to the stereo and the second Airport Express. With that I get absolutely no sound at all.
By the way, when I use either cable I seem to have to put the stereo in auxiallary (MC/AUX) mode --which makes since considering I'm using connection cables.
While I don't expect that there's anyone here who can solve this problem if it's a stereo connection issue, I am confused as to whether this could be being caused by either of my AirPort Extremes and/or Setups or the setting on my current version of ITunes (running 4.7).
I would really appreicate it if someone could help spin me around in the right direction here because I am a t complete loss.

Try this - use the volume controls for your amplifier instead of the iTunes volume controls, by selecting the "Disable iTunes volume control for remote speakers" checkbox in the Audio pane of iTunes Preferences.
