Why won't my rear camera work?

My rear camera on my iPhone 4S has not been working for a while now, the front one works occasionally but the back one is completely broken. I got the phone at Christmas, i wonder if there is anything I could do that could help to save me having to travel to go to my nearest apple store? Thank you

User troubleshooting is restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. If none of those fix the problem, the last step is the trip to the Apple store. A few weeks ago I started using Facetime on my iPad. Ever since I did that the camera on my iMac won't work on websites like Omegle. I turned off Facetime on my iPad and the camera worked again on my iMac. Once I turned it back on (and tried turning it off again) my camera on my iMac just will not work. I've installed the latest flash player all the latest updates but nothing seems to work. I'm able to use my camera in photobooth. When I open up Omegle I don't get the pop up window to ask me to allow and when I try to turn the camera on by hovering over where my picture would be, it doesn't allow me to. When I click the red button, nothing happens. I have pretty much zero programs installed on my iMac to begin with and I just have no idea what's causing the problem. I thought it had something to do with Facetime but maybe that was just a conicidence. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm starting to get really frustrated.

Hello. I was recently outside for a good tournament for 6 hours. After about 3 hours my iPod got extremely hot. I had a cooler with a n ice pack inside and I thought it would cool it down. So I put it in their and forgot about it but I took it out after I remembered it. But it got hot again and I did the same thing. But this time it was in there closer. And today I tried taking a picture of myself and the forward camera doesn't open and it goes back to the camera facing away from me. And snap chat doesn't work either now. I don't know if the two are tied together or not. Any help will be much appreciated.

Why won't Sony MiniDV cameras work on a Imac 17 isight?

Everyone has always said they will, BUT every Sony miniDV I reseach says USB connectivity and ilink (what ever that is) and no mention of a firewire connection at all. They don't even include a firewire cable. I'm not getting some info that I really need before I purchase on of these. I like Sony but I don't want to make a mistake. All I want to do is make movies, edit them on my iMac 17 isight (with a program that came with it - which program do I use?). Then just burn the rascal to a DVD. Any helpers out ther?

did you actually try one? i have two sony cameras and they connect perfectly well.
i think you have a misunderstanding here: sony calls the firewire connection iLink ... don't ask me why.
i don't know if sony includes a firewire cable, but hey ... 5$ for a cable is not that much.

When i open my camera on my ipod the camera wont let me take pictures.

If the shutter will not open try the following in order:
- Reset the iPod:

-Restore the iPod from backup via iTunes on your computer
- Restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod via itunes- .

Camera isn't functioning or has undesired image quality
If the screen shows a closed lens or black image, force quit the Camera app.
If you do not see the Camera app on the Home screen, try searching for it in Spotlight. If the camera does not show up in the search, check to make sure that Restrictions are not turned on by tappingSettings > General > Restrictions.
Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from any obstructions. Use a microfiber polishing cloth to clean the lens.
Cases can interfere with the camera and the flash. Try gently cleaning the lens with a clean dry cloth or removing the case if you see image or color-quality issues with photos.
Try turning iPhone off and then back on.
Tap to focus the camera on the subject. The image may pulse or briefly go in and out of focus as it adjusts.
Try to remain steady while focusing:
Still images: Remain steady while taking the picture. If you move too far in any direction, the camera automatically refocuses to the center.
Note: If you take a picture with iPhone turned sideways, it is automatically saved in landscape orientation.
Video: Adjust focus before you begin recording. You can also tap to readjust focus while recording. Exiting the Camera application while recording will stop recording and will save the video to the Camera Roll.
Note: Video-recording features are not available on original iPhone or iPhone 3G.
If your iPhone has a front and rear camera, try switching between them to verify if the issue persists on both.

Why won't my lock button work?

I went to lock my iPod and my lock button won't work. I can't even push it down, it's like stuck down in the hole but it won't pop back up. Everything works fine but I have to wait for it to auto-lock everytime I want to turn it off. Why won't the button pop back up?

It looks like you have a hardware issue. I don't know why the button doesn't pop up, but You can enable assistive touch. Assistive touch gives you a virtual lock button, so that will solve you problem. You can enable it by going to Settings->General->Accessibillity->AssistiveTouch->On.

Why won't the time capsule's wireless router work to allow internet access? Just got it, new 2 tb! Lost the excitement of it all now! Help! Connecting to new MacBook pros (13" & 2X15"s) as well as a Toshiba laptop. Followed all the directions and backed up just fine, but have not been able to browse web at all with this crap!

You do not have to load the airport utility.. a newer version is already included on the computer.
Just go to the applications / utility directory and start airport utility.
