Why won't my Samsung Galaxy connect to my home WiFi?
Sometimes it says connected, but can not browse. Usually it just says Connection Failed. I reinstalled my router and made sure it was secure with a password. Someone suggested a new router. Is that really the answer? My PC's work with this one. My husband has the same problem with his IPhone.
It connects just fine in all the public places and some home WiFi's.
Thanks,
I've had my Gal Tab (7", SCH-I800, v2.3.5) since May and have had the same WiFi no-connect problem. In searching a lot of blogs for others having the same problem, it seems the issue is with, for one, Belkin routers - the Tab will not connect to at least some models of it. I was sad to discover that because, of course, I have a pretty new Belkin at home and am not replacing it. A workaround was to tether onto my home's WiFi through my Samsung laptop Windows 7 home networking ability. It nicely provided a 'tunnel', if you will, to the internet for my Tab. But, low, after the last firmware upgrade on the table to 2.3.5, I am no longer able to connect via Win7 : (
Hopefully, some of that is useful info.

Why won't my iphone 4 connect to my home network?
I've had my iphone4 connected to my home wifi network for about 18 months with no problems. A few weeks ago it suddenly dropped the connection and when I try to connect, and enter the password, it tries but then responds that it can't join the network.
I can connect to other networks at work and in public. There is a laptop and another iphone4 connected to the home network with no problems.
Today, I ahve reset the router (as suggested on another thread) and reconfigured the network. The laptop is connected and working but now NEITHER iphone will connect to the wifi.
Help please!
SueThanks for trying but mine hasn't. I've connected to this router before with no problems. There doesn't seem to be a reasonable explanation.

Hello, Nanjos0103.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Sometimes a simple power cycle of your wireless router can resolve this issue. However, troubleshooting may be needed. Here is the best troubleshooting article to go through when experiencing this issue.

Why won't my iphone stay connected to wifi
Just recently my iphone won't stay connected to my home wifi, my mac stays connected
just fine. Unfortunately, I haven't checked it on other wifi's...would this even make a
difference. I have a 4S,software is 6.1.2, when I click on my wifi I get the ole "unable to
join the network "......." . BTW why the heck does it want me to "dismiss" ..everytime I
see it I hate it more!!Try resetting network settings, under settings, general, reset, reset network settings. Basically it refreshes the connection between your phone and all wireless connections like wifi and cellular. Also try resetting your home modem/router to make sure that is a fresh connection as well.

Hey everyone, I have been having this problem for about a day or two now. I have an iPhone 4, and have iOS 7.1.2. Basically, my iPhone will connect to my home WiFi sometimes, but it randomly loses connection and won't connect for hours upon hours. I have tried turning it on and off multiple times as well as resetting the network settings. I know that it is not my network's problem because a member of my family has an iPhone 5S, and it works fine with the WiFi, along with all of my other devices. This issue is getting very annoying as I don't like to use my cellular data at home since it is limited. Please help me!!
Does the iOS device connect to other networks? If yes that tends to indicate a problem with your network.
What happens when it fail to connect?
----- Does the iOS device see the network?
----- Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

My iPad (first generation iOS5.1.1.1) quit connecting to my home WiFi recently after years of being able to. All other devices in my home connect fine. I have taken every step I can find to try and remedy things including restoring my iPad to factory settings. Still nothing - when it tries to connect to my network it just spins. I took my iPad to work and it connected to the WiFi there just fine. Came back home, no good. After talking with my local Mac supplier they've suggested that maybe my router is the cause. I've unplugged it several times for lengths of up to an hour but that still isn't getting things working again. Any ideas?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

My iPhone 3G won't display or connect to my home wifi network
Hello!
I have an old iPhone 3G that my dad gave me a long time ago. It had some problems, but I figured that's just 'cause it's old. But now I really don't know. One of its biggest (and only) problems is that it refuses to connect to my home wifi network. In fact, when I go to Settings > WiFi, it won't even display my network (it did once, but failed to actually connect), or any network, actually. I found once that in Settings > General > About > Network (Not Available), it tells me "SIM not provisioned". I've heard that you don't need a SIM card at all to use wifi on an iPhone, so what's going on here (in case I didn't make it clear, I do have a SIM card in the phone, and this problem occurs whether it's in or not)? Do I need to activate my SIM card (and if so will it cost me anything)? Or is my iPhone just whack?
If I wasn't clear in my question, please ask for clarification in the comments.
Thanks! We now have two older phones that will not recognize one of our networks.

My ipad won't connect to my home wifi; it will in coffee shops, etc
Even though it used to, my iPad will no longer connect to my home wifi network; it won't even give me the option of tying in a password; it just keeps going to a page marked "IP Address"; it DOES work in coffee shops, grocery stores and anywhere else there's free wifi
All my other devices connect just fine -- iPhone, laptop, computer, etc.

HT5569 After ios 7.0.6 update iPad won't connect to my home wifi.
I have just updated my iPad (retina display, one before the air) to iOS 7.0.6 and now it won't connect to my home wifi. I have never had a problem before. I pressed forget network and tried reconnecting. It asks for password but will not connect. Any help would be great.
Alas, this has not resolved the issue for me.
Oddly, my iPad mini (1st gen) CAN connect to the WPA2-Enterprise network at work and it connects at Starbucks (open wifi).
It fails (asks for password then "cannot join network") on my wpa2-personal-secured home network and on McDonald's open wifi network (nearest other place I could test. Honest.).
I've done the network settings reset, the machine hard reboot, forget networks, reset my router and time capsule repeatedly (obviously, can't reset McDonald's), to no avail.
I love shoddy work: nice update, Apple! -
Two of our ipod touches won't connect to the home wifi. They have done before. All other apple devices connect fine. They can see the wifi devices, appear to try to connect (the circle whirls around) but connection doesn't complete. Ideas please?
I have 2 of them that only connected for a day and then reset network settings and they connected again for a day now resetting network settings does not fix it either. My iphone used to work with my home network but after upgrading to the latest OS which is the same versions as the ipods it no longer works either. Acts the same as the ipods. It would seem that the latest tweeks to the OS is the problem with wifi connectivity.
