Why Won't My Security Questions Save?

Everytime I try to download an app, it wants me to answer some security questions. I do, and then I click "Done". Then it says "Sorry. There was an error in the process of saving your information." After that is stops downloading the app. Is there any way to fix this, or do I have to contact iTunes myself (which I really don't want to do!)?

  • Why won't my security code save on the payment info?

    I suddenly can't purchase anything. When I check my payment info, I see that my security code info is "required". That's weird since it hasn't changed in years. Regardless, I enter it and hit "Done". There are no complaints or red error messages or anything to indicate there is an issue with the code. When I recheck the info, the security code field is once again saying "required". The code is not saved and therefore I can't make the purchase. Please don't link me to the standard "payment info" link, it doesn't address this particular problem. This is the 2nd major issue I've had with payment info in a month. Looks like many people are having issues with the security code. Apple, what is the deal?

    Having the same problem.   Scheduled a call with support, they said it was on apple's end and it would be fixed in half an hour.  An our later and still not fixed --charges my account a dollar each time I try to update it, and I have to start over on the support case.   Really frustrating.

    Why won't my secure thumb drive (FAT32) work with os lion?  I have used it ok with older mac operating systems.  When the thumb drive is inserted in the usb port, an error message appears stating that the disk was not ejected properly.  It shows as readonly in Finder.  When I try to eject it, the spinning wheel appears and I have to relaunch finder.

    Start here, and reset your password, you will receive an email with your new password, then go to manage your account > Password and Security and change your security questions.

    At a guess (you don't list the error), what maybe happening is that you have booted from the original OS install disc, told it to install the (old) original OS on to the hard disk and it has said - no thanks you cannot install an older version because it already has a newer version installed.
    This is 'normal', what you have to do is totally erase the hard disk first. You do this by booting from the original OS install disc, but rather than trying to do an install straight away, you should first use Disk Utility and use that to erase the hard disk. Then you can run the install again and because the hard disk will be empty it will not have a newer OS on it and the installer will be happy.
    Obviously this means any files you have on the hard disk will be erase as well. If you want to keep them you are going to need to back them up first, the easiest way would be to use Time Machine to backup to an external hard disk.

  • Why won't files open or save in email

    I have been trying to open some important files that were emailed and they won't open.  I am getting the blue and white pop up asking if I want to open or save and it won't let me do either.  It did this the other day and somehow I finally got it open after shutting down the computer.  Tried that this time and it won't work.  Tried uninstalling and reinstalling adobe.  It did not work.  There is also an online website I use to complete and upload PDF file documents and it won't work either.  What has happened?  How do I fix?

    Ah this is just because I haven't fully updated my bridge yet, but the solution still works fine

    The video shows replacing a current DLL file with one from last year - the key issue being that the files found in the Bridge and Photoshop folders are DIFFERENT. Why would this be?  I checked a PS CS5.1 installation myself and the files are already the same. Is there an illegitimate copy of Photoshop being used or something, causing these files to differ? -Noel

  • HT204088 Why is itunes asking security questions that were never asked in my set up?  I am trying to purchase for the first time and now I am locked out.  Not Happy.  grrr

    I have set my itunes account up and now I want to make a purchase, however Itunes wants me to answer security questions, these questions are not the same questions that I answered while setting up my account therefore I have no answers and now i am locked out.  I am extremely frusturated.  HELP!!!

    Upgraded my and my daughters iPhones... We are both on the same iTunes. Now neither of us can buy iTunes on either phone because its asking for security questions that I don't believe I've ever been asked before or answered. Obviously I don't know the answer and am stuck and frustrated.

    Note: If you have already forgotten your security questions, then you cannot

    Make sure that the exact billing address on your banking statement is the same as what is on your itunes store account.

    Also, if you owe itunes store funds, it will give the error message as well. If you do owe, you have to provide an itunes store gift card to cover the balance before placing the CC back on file.

    Start here (change country if necessary) and navigate to 'Password and Security', reset your security questions using the link provided, you will receive an email to your rescue address, use the link in the email and reset your security questions.
    If that doesn't help, you don't receive a reset email or you don't have a rescue address, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
    If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support.

  • Why won't my security update go through and is it even necessary?

    Whenever I try to download an app or make an in-app purchase on my iPhone, I always get a pop-up that says "Improve Apple ID Security please enter Apple ID and password, then tap security info and answer the questions." so I do that and then when I click done, a red message pops up at the top of the page that says "An error occurered, we could not save your changes." Is this update even needed helpful though? I've been hearing a lot about peoples' accounts being used by others since this security update. I would like to know because I have a few downloads I NEED to make.

  • Why won't FCP 5.1 'SAVE' and close without re-asking?

    Hello all
    I'm just wondering why FCP 5.1 won't close without ALWAYS asking me to Save again?
    It seems no matter how many times I 'SAVE PROJECT', and try to close it, it prompts me again.

    Did I do a fresh install of FCP 5.1? - yes
    (right out of the NEW SEALED box FULL RETAIL VERSION)

    I'm not sure I understand, are you saying that you cannot close a project at all because it just keeps going back to the save dialogue?
    Or is it that you Save a project then seconds later close the project and it asks you if you want to save again before it actually does close?
    The latter does seem to happen with FCP, never been sure why, but not unusual.
    The former is, of course, a problem.
    I was going to suggest that you you can turn off the "save on close prompt" in User Prefs, but I just check and didn't see that option, not sure what I was thinking about or perhaps I'm just tired and was looking in the wrong place.
