Why won't my site preview in any browser from DW?
I get a "page not found" error when trying to preview from DW, but if I go directly to site (kjtextiles.com) in any browser, it opens OK.

It could be that in your copy of DW, the browser list is empty. Have you checked your preferences settings to see if it looks something like this:
If it isn't then you can add the browsers by clicking on the + sign shown in the picture.

Why won't my Intel iMac boot up, either from the internal hard drive or the DVD drive? It just displays a light grey screen, without any other icons, etc. The fact that it won't boot from the original system DVD is what baffles me the most. Any ideas? If the C key for Install Disc or R Command for OS X Recovery startup commands are not working, try holding the Option key for the Startup Manager.

If that does not work and you using a wireless keyboard, it may have become unpaired and you need to dig up a USB keyboard to invoke the startup commands.

This has been happening since I got the phone a couple of years ago.
I did not realize that my home land line and my wife's cell phone
always go straight to voice mail until my wife pointed it out to me
several months ago. Is there a setting I can adjust?
Yes, I can make calls to our home land line and to her cell phone
without being diverted to voice mail.

I'm afriad the fact that your Olympus dSLR is supported is no relevance.
The Raw from every model of camera is different. Note: that's every model not every brand. So, the NEF produced by a Nikon D40 is not the same as the NEF produced by a D60, the CR2 produced by a Canon 350 is not the same as the CR2 produced by a Canon 400.
Support for individual camera models has to be added one by one, and Apple will update the OS to work with the most recent version of the software. That's an incentive for you to keep up-to-date. So, for support for your 60D you'll need 10.6.5 plus Aperture 3 and/or iPhoto 11.

Why won't iDVD 08 preview controls allow fast forward?
It says in the manual that clicking the "right arrow" button on the on-screen control panel will fast-forward the movie, but it doesn't. Can anyone tell me why this is?
And why doesn't the iDVD preview have the same preview slider as QuickTime does?This is simply a suggestion .... if you are in need of "scrubbing the timeline" do this in the video editing app (ie, iMovie or FCP) and not iDVD.
The main reason we don't normally scrub the entire video w/in iDVD itself is because this is not where video editing is done (as opposed to authoring the entire DVD).
iMovie and iDVD are like a candy bar. The chocolate bar would be iMovie and iDVD would be the candy wrapper (the outside packaging only). Hope this analogy makes sense.
A couple of things you can do to quickly preview your iDVD prior to burning to media if Preview / FF isn't working correctly in iDVD..... The first would be to jump to different scenes using scene selections w/in iDVD or perhaps make a disc image first of the dvd to the desktop and then use apple's dvd player to fast forward, reverse, etc. -

Why won't copy/paste images appear in PDF (from Word 2007)?
I find all places in a Word 2007 document where content copied from Power Point 2007 and then pasted into a Word 2007 document does not appear in the subsequent PDF file I generate. White space of the same size as the pasted content appears in its place. Why is this happening and are there any suggestions to work around this issue? What is curious is the free PDF creation tool that you can use to generate a PDF within Word 2007 (by choosing file save-as PDF) does NOT have this same issue. I don't want to use Word's tool since it doesn't allow for the option settings flexibility I need to produce the final PDF.
I already tried saving the Word file as XML and then re-saving as Word .docx and regenerating the PDF from Acrobat: the graphics are still missing. I also tried in Acrobat Help> Repair Installation and then shut down/restarted my computer. Again, the regenerated PDF is missing the graphics.
Personally, I do not use a copy/paste method; rather, I use insert>picture>from file or paste special as a grphic file type. I know the same graphics placed this way come out fine in a PDF I generate from Acrobat. However, I support a bunch of engineers who make copy/paste a shortcut habit. I will have no luck telling them not to do this.
I appreciate any help with this.Preferences in Acrobat reader under Page Display are already set to Show Large Images. I assume that is the setting you mentioned.
I don't know of any setting in Word 2007 that would make a difference. Does anyone else have work around suggestions? -
Why won't all of my smart playlists sync from itunes to my ipad?
Why won't all of my smart playlists sync? They show up in the playlist screen of my ipad music app. When I click on the playlist, there are no songs listed. I sync it again, and the playlist now shows zero songs in the list. I keep trying to sync it, and it goes back and forth from showing there are 60 songs in the playlist, which I can't play, to showing zero songs. Please help.
Yes, sorry, you are correct, it was iTunes Match. I purchased storage on iTunes Match (probably a bad idea), because I had over 1000 songs on my i-phone 4S -which is eating up my storage space. Well, anyway...After I purchased it, I followed the instructions: go to: Settings, "open" music, "Turn on" iTunes Match. After I did that, I opened up the Music App -on my phone -ALL of my playlists were gone and only 208 songs showed... I messed up my phone once before and I had to log into my i-Tunes account (on my computer) and "reset" to another date. I would like to do that again -if possible...

Why won't iTunes let me import this album from my music folder?
For some reason, iTunes won't let me import Radiohead In Rainbows from my music folder. The songs are mp3 files. I've imported thousands of songs and haven't had a problem. I've tried dragging it in and importing from the file menu.
The one thing I notice is that MP3 is capitalized in the file names, but I don't know if that has anything to do with. The music plays fine in Windows Media Player, but I want to put it in itunes so I can put it on my iPod.I appreciate the reply. How do you check permissions (what is permissions)? This is very strange since it worked flawlessly in my itunes libraray before recently as well as my ipod and all of a sudden it wouldn't play in my library so I deleted the tracks from the library and tried to re-add them but it doesn't load them now and doesn't give me any kind of error message.
These are official MP3 tracks that I downloaded from the official Radiohead website and they play fine on my Ipod, Windows Media Player, and Quicktime. Just not Itunes itself.
