Why won't my speakers work?
I got my MacBook about a month ago and it has been wonderful, but now, when I open the lid, if I try to play music or anything, it's like it's muted, but, it isn't and the only other experience I've had with something like this is that once my iPhone did this after I had unplugged my headphones, I plugged and unplugged them a few times and it's worked fine ever since. I tried doing this and it works, but, I want to know if there's anything I can do about this.
Look in the audio out port when this happens again. Chances are the digital audio out has been activated and you will see a red light in the hole. Some Macbooks seem prone to this happening. I have never had it happen on mine. If it continues or really bothers you contact Apple to fix it. There is a little micro switch that by doing what your doing plugging in and out a few times will turn it off. Others have used a plastic toothpick to switch it off.

I've had my MacBook for awhile now. For the first time, I tried plugging in some external Dell speakers that I had used with my old computer. The instant I plug in the USB, my MacBook shuts down. Why is this?
Maybe the speakers are not compatible with your computer. Contact the manufacturer.
You can try Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM to see if that resolves the issue. -
Why won't music match work with my Sonos system now?
I updated my iTunes to music match, because I added a new computer for my wife and she wanted easy access the music library. I used the music match and the iCloud to make it easier to get the music on the new computer. It was fairly simple to set it up, however, when I installed the sonos controller on the new computer, it couldn't find the music library. Why won't my sonos work, when I can see the music on iTunes in its library.

To resolve issues with sending and receiving iMessages, follow these steps first
Check iMessage system status for current service issues.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure that you have registered iMessage with your phone number or Apple ID and that you have selected iMessage for use. Learn more about troubleshooting iMessage registration if the phone number or Apple ID isn't available for use.
Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify data connectivity. Learn more about troubleshootingcellular data or a Wi-Fi connection if a data connection isn't available.
iMessage over cellular data might not be available while on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on to use iMessage while on a call if your network doesn't support simultaneous data and voice calls.
Restart your device.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
If you are still unable to send or receive an iMessage, follow these steps
Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
Verify that the contact you are attempting to send a message to is registered with iMessage.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and re-create the contact in the Contacts application. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
Back up and restore your device as new.

I've restarted the phone and itunes several times, have uninstalled and reinstalled the app on the phone and itunes separately, and it still just shows 'Installing" under the greyed out app.I have the same problem with an iPhone 5s. Why won't my camera work in Facebook video call?
Have a new MacBook Pro running Mavericks. When I tried to use the video call feature in Facebook, it told me I didn;t have the necessary java to execute the install. I downloaded the file suggested online (Java for OS X 2014-001: How to re-enable the Apple-provided Java SE 6 web plug-in and Web Start features) and the install went through. However, when I try to make a call it connects, I can see the other person's video and hear her/him but my camera does not activate (No green light. Person being called can hear me, but no picture appears for them). FaceTime works fine. Skype works fine. Google+ Hangout asks me to give permission to use camera, but hangs up. I also tried to make a FB video call in Safari and that did not work either (same problem).

I spent 2, 1/2 hrs on chat with the service techs and even they couldn't figure out why when I try ti send messages the person's name comes up red and says they are not registered and a big red REMOVE is in the box. Why won't quicktime player work? I own Mac Book Pro with Retina Display and connote get the quicktime player to open or play quicktime movies?
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Preferences/com.apple.quicktimeplayer.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

I am trying to use Find My Friends and I have been through troubleshooting 3 times. Why won't my location work? Everything is on but the 2nd screen in Find My Friends is grayed out, whereas my other family members 2nd screens are active? I have an iPhone 6 Plus, latest ios8, and yes my location says it is being shared, but it is not.

Voicemail is left at your carrier's server. That will continue to work unless you report your iPhone as lost or stolen with your carrier.
You may never find it again and you can't if the iPhone remains offline or out of service which means the iPhone is powered off or doesn't have cellular reception. -

Why won't my sound work on my iPad when I try to hear videos on facebook? Oddly it works if I plug in headphones but it's hit and miss for videos. I tried making sure the lock switch is set to volume and the volume is turned up.
Try a reset:
Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo.
