Why won't my video upload

I use a Casio Exilim and none of my videos will work in iMovie
anyone have an suggestions? I was trying to maybe convert them
but I didn't really know where to begin with that. If anyone knows
anything that'd be great
thanks!

Hi Anna
a. iMovie 1 to HD 6 - are only for miniDV tape Cameras and only via FireWire
No USB/USB2 at all. (May be some other HD Cameras except miniDV but FW they too)
b. To Use Your Camera - either
• Convert Your movies to streamingDV that iM 1 - 6 (and 08) can read
Sorry - You already use iM'08 ? - then this doesn't apply
• Try using iMovie'08 (at a Store may be ?) and see if it works. It might.
c. To convert one needs to know from what file format eg .mpeg1, .mpeg2, .mpeg4, .avi, .vmw etc in all eternity.
Yours Bengt W

why won't my imatch upload cds I downloaded onto both my computers onto my iphone?

I'm not entirely understanding your question. Are you asking why iTunes Match doesn't scan, match and upload content from an iOS device? If so, it is because the service does not work that way. The service only scans an iTunes library and for music to be available in the cloud it must be in the iTunes library.
Music ripped from CDs is scanned, matched and uploaded as long as the tracks meet the minimum requirements.

Why won't my videos play? They start on the device that they are on, then stop and I get an error message...An error occured loading this content. This comes up on all of my computers. I reset the Apple TV to Factory Settings and still get the same message.

    Hi There,
I had the same problem took me several hours to try and sort it out but nothing worked.
I then went to the following apple link
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
Follow everything to a T and you will get the use of your Itunes again.
Hope this helps. Good luck (And remember to breath lol )

Why won't iPad video open when emailed to Windows desktop?

    Hey there Ray_J,
I understand that you want iTunes to be opening every time you connect your phone to your computer. You may wish to adjust this setting in your iTunes preferences to affect this behavior:
Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically
Prevent devices from automatically syncing with this iTunes library when a device is connected. To sync a device, click the Sync button when the device is connected.
iTunes 12 for Mac: iTunes Devices preferences
    https://support.apple.com/kb/PH19595
If this is unchecked, iTunes will open automatically when you connect an iOS device. Thanks for being a part of the Apple Support Communities!

  • Why don't my videos upload when my pictures do?

When I connect my iPhone to my laptop, my pictures upload but the videos do not.  Any suggestions as to why this is?

Photos and videos in the Camera Roll?
If so, this is an import as with any other digital camera and nothing is imported automatically.
If only photos are imported and not videos, more than likely this means you are a Windows sufferer.

  • Why won't my video in my keynote presentation play in my iBook?

I have created a keynote animation to import into my iBook. When viewed in Keynote the videos play automatically like they should. However, once place into the iBook and previewed on the iPad they appear as a black box that then changes to white. The rest of the animation works great it's just that the videos won't play. Does anyone have any idea why this might be?

try sharing your Keynote to HTML and then dragging the resulting file to a page in iBooks.
check out the new series to help create publications. just search in the iTunes Store for An iBuild Opportunity

  • Why won't my podcast upload to iTunes?

I've tried uploading my podcast to iTunes and it will not work, I keep getting the message "We had difficulties downloading episodes from your feed." Tried editing my feed to take things down and literally only have my podcast available, don't know what else to do here. My RSS is http://feeds.feedburner.com/ontapwithfitzandmike

this is what i'm getting from troubleshooting on feedburner....again, don't know how to fix this
    Content Type reported: text/html; charset=UTF-8
Media enclosure not created because: The  content type returned from your host server was a text type, not a  binary media type. Podcast content should always return a binary media  type, such as audio/mpeg for audio, or video/mpeg for video.

  • Why won't these videos fit on a 120min 4.7Gb disc?

There have been situations in which when I am using 120 min 4.7GB DVD+R discs, that iDVD tells me that the video/videos I insert onto a project exceeds the macimum duration of the disc. It doesn't make any sense when I drop a 1 hour and 30 min.,700mb .avi movie onto a project and it tells me that. Why is this happening?

iDVD mpg-2 compresses everything. The size of your raw content in MB isn't significant - what IS significant is the running time in minutes. iDVD can put up to 60 minutes of content on a single-layer disc in 'Best Performance' encoding mode or up to 120 minutes ion the 'High Quality' of 'Professional Quality modes.
BTW, 4.7 GB is the advertising capacity in decimal form; as far as a computer is concerned, the capacity is 4.37 GB.

  • Why won't my video clips open?

As of about 2  weeks ago video clips emailed to me won't open, especially Utube clips but also clips on CNN,com, etc. The same urls in the same emails open and run perfectly on my wife's MacBook Air. so it must not be the sender or email but my Mac specifically.  I don't recall blocking anything or changing preferences.  All suggestions are welcomed.  Thanks. (PS, I logged in to Utube which didn't help.)

  • HT2729 Why won't certain videos (downloaded from iTunes) sync on my iPod?

I have a new iPod Classic and it won't sync some of my videos. I've reset it. I've got everything checked. All files and videos play in my library. There all in the same location and files. Its  After syncing I get the "some videos were not synced because the format is not supported". All the vids were downloaded from iTunes Store. WTH? Can anyone think of a solution? What is wrong?
    Thanks,
    WB

    Hey Willm700,
Great question. iTunes defaults to downloading HD content when available, whereas your iPod classic is not compatible with HD playback. The solution would be to download the SD version of the content from your purchase history:
iTunes: Sync purchased HD videos to iPod or iOS device
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4223
The easiest way to put purchased videos onto your device is to download the videos from iTunes in the Cloud. This should make sure that you get the highest resolution video optimized for your specific device.
Syncing video to iPhone 3G or earlier, iPod touch (1st or 2nd generation), iPod classic, iPod 5th generation, or iPod nano (3rd, 4th, or 5th generation):
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • Why won't Quicktime movie upload to YouTube?

I made a Flip-4-Mac video using handheld Flip video device....then uploaded to my iMac as an .avi file.  Decided to upload to YouTube but file was nearly 30 minutes long....  so then used the QuickTime Player 10.0 (133)  'trim' feature to divide video into 3 (not quite equal) parts.  This left me with 3 separate videos labeled Part 1, Part 2, Part 3.  They are .mov files.
Using QuickTime's 'Upload to YouTube' option, I began upload of Part 1. During upload, a message appeared saying audio might not be in sync, and then I got an error message saying upload couldn't be completed.
Anyone have any ideas?   Is the VeeScope Converter an option?

Thanks, but the instructions within those links are too over the top for me.  Will have to find a techie to help sort it out.  Appreciate the links and will print out the info.
Then switch your editing work flow to one that forces recompression of your files for sharing to YouTube. The fact that your current work flow goes from AVI to MOV file containers implies you could be using a "Save as..." operation rather than an H.264/AAC conversion. This means your MOV file main still contain whatever audio and video codecs were used to create the original AVI file. Since you did not tell us what compression formats are involved here, provide a specific work flow, indicate the duration or target display involved, all we can do is make guesses at what problems you may be experiencing and their possible solutions. If you do not understand the instructions as provided by YouTube for optimal uploads, the use an editing app that also shares your edited files directly to YouTube as such apps should export the edited content using compression formats currently compatible with the YouTube web site software.

  • Why won't my videos play in iTunes when I already downloaded them?

I downloaded an episode to watch along with a few songs....they downloaded on my iPad and now they are showing up in my purchased but its only playing 30 seconds of the episode and the songs won't play at all. Can anyone help?

iTunes on the iPad is just the iTunes store. Videos and tv shows that you've synced and/or downloaded to the iPad go into the Videos app :
Songs that you've synced or downloaded go into the iPod or Music app (depending on which version of iOS you have)  :

  • Why won't Flash videos play in Facebook?

I can't seem to get Flash videos to play in Facebook.  I hear sound, but just get a blank black screen where I would expect to see the video. Youtube videos work fine.
If I browse to http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html I see the following:
"Check if Flash Player is installed on your computer", it shows the following under Step 1:
Congratulations, your computer has the latest Flash Player installed.
Start playing games, listening to music, and watching videos!
    YOUR SYSTEM INFORMATION
    Your Flash Version
    12.0.0.44
    Your browser name
Internet Explorer (I'm using IE 11)
    Your Operating System (OS)
    Windows (Windows 7) (I have a 64bit OS)
I followed Stpes 2, 3, and 4, and even see the Flash video of a swaying tree on the page under Step 5, which makes me thing Flash is correctly installed yet I'm still unable to get videos to play on Facebook.
    Troubleshooting steps I've taken:
    - Deleted %apphost%\flash and %apphost%\macromedia folders from my system
    - Uninstall/reinstall Adobe Flash
    - Reset Internet Explorer setting to default settings, cleared browsing history, and deleted temporary internet files
    - Confirmed under "Manage Add-Ons" that "Shockwave Flash Object" is enabled
    - Ensure clean Host and LMHost files
I'd greatly appreciate other troubleshooting suggestions anyone else can provide.  Thank you.

The problem is... not Flash Player.... it's Ie 11.
Microsoft intentionally screwed up the "User-Agent Strings" that websites use to identify the browser and provide the proper content for it. If a website can ID it at all, it misidentifies it as either Gecko (Firefox) or Webkit (Safari), but since the full browser engine isnt there, IE then becomes an unidentifiable visitor.
The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

  • Why won't Elements 8 upload to youtube?

Last year we made many videos and upload to youtube from Elements 8. Now we've tried to upload some new ones, and the title screen is different, where you type title and description, and when you click upload nothing happens.

This is the one I just tried, a storybook video that is actually comprised of jpeg's we drop in to make the storybook videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpUd2XA6eSU&list=UUK5fkf1q7pG0MWNkR1fr4cQ&index=1
This is our regular youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/tangerineskyvideo
We've uploaded many this way, and it always worked. Now, when we click upload, Premiere freezes, it just doesn't do anything. Most of the TV stations we're involved with are on the Roku, so they should be able to grab the existing youtube videos we have, but one of the stations is a cable station in England and the guy said youtube distorts it, so he had us email some videos via wetransfer.com. So, we saved them as mpeg's and sent a few, but then saw that the ones we saved as mpeg's, directly from Premiere, the sides were cut off. So,we need to be able to figure out how to save them widescreen from Premiere, because then we'd be able to manually upload to youtube.
