Why won't Outlook 2011 send emails?

I'm receiving new emails fine. I've confirmed my outgoing server settings. smtp.mail.yahoo.com using port 25. with ssl selected. Each time I send an email from Outlook it sits in the outbox and I end up with an error "server has timed out"... Suggestions?

When i left a previous company i wanted to keep my outlook contacts. To do this i exported them from the company PC into a .PST file. I was then given a MacBook Air at my current company and wanted to import the contacts from the .PST file to my outlook (Outlook 2011). This was fine and i have my old contacts on my new work MacBook. My problem is that i cannot get the contacts to show in my iPhone 6 (company phone) contacts. When i go to itunes, then my device and contacts i am given the option to sync contacts from different places. The only place that comes up is OWA and there is no option to sync the .PST file that is on my outlook. I need to be able to sync these so that if i add a contact at the office on the mac or if i add a contact on my phone when out meeting a client that they then appear on both devices no matter which one it was created on.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I did what you said and everything looked and worked perfectly...except the events still aren't showing up on my iPhone even though they are in Google Calendar. How much time does it take to populate the iphone calendar with the events from the just added calendar? I changed the settings a couple of hours ago.

I have discovered that the emails have in fact been sent but much later, maybe it's a network problem with the people i am sending it to. so i checked my sent items and they are there, but at the time the email doesn't go straight into the sent box or drafts so i'm assuming it's disappeared and type it again. i'll keep going with it, until someone can give me a possible solution or explanation as to what is happening.

Go to your email provider's setup page and check what the settings for the SMTP server are supposed to be. Most good providers will even have instructions on how to set up Mac Mail.

CRM 2011: Sending Email through Outlook first

We have never used Email through CRM. Is it possible to send an email through Outlook first then to CRM? Also wanting to make sure it is linked to the Account, when sent.

Emails created in CRM are sent using the outgoing email method specified on the account of the user creating the email. Only one outgoing method can be set for a user, the methods are to use the CRM client for Outlook or the Email Router (later versions
of CRM also have Server-side synchronization but that is not available for CRM 2011).
An email created in CRM can only be sent via one of the outgoing methods. Regardless of how it is sent, the email will be stored in CRM and linked to the record it was regarded to.

Why won't my MacMail send out emails for my new IMAP email account?

Hello there,
I recently found a new job and with the new job comes a new email. I have used MacMail plenty of times in the past and have no real issues with adding or removing email accounts using MacMail.....until now.
The email account type is IMAP and inregards to receiving emails the account is working perfectly. I am having no issue at all with getting emails, the issue is with trying to send emails from this particular account.
Originally, after setting the account up, whenever I tried to send out an email from this account I received an Error Message stating that the outgoing mail server was not available, aka nto setup correctly. After contacting my new employer, they realized they sent me the wrong info for the outgoing mail server. Once I inputted the new outgoing mail server, I no longer received the error message when attempting to send an email.
At this point, i figured that the account was golden and good to go. However, despite no longer getting the error message when trying to send emails, the emails never reach their destination and a sent receipt does not show up in my SENT folder.
Any idea what could be going on? I have tried my other accounts and sending emails from my other email addresses are working perfectly.

I know i have about 10 emails unread from today.
Then when i try and send it just doesn't do anything.

Outlook 2011 Sending Issues

I'm running Outlook 2011 (Version 14.3.8). Outlook worked perfectly until I upgrade to Mavericks. Now it shows that my emails are being sent, but they are not. I thought it had something to do with the hosting company, but everything is fine with them. Receiving is not a problem, just sending.
Any advice?

Sending an email and then finding out that you forgot the attachment is an embarrassing, frustrating, and common event; and one that could be easily prevented. Outlook scans email for spelling issues and address issues before sending. Why
can't Outlook check for a few key phrases like "see attached", "refer to the attached", "refer to attachement", etc. when sending a new message. If there is no attachment it could pop up a message box that
says something like "You appear to reference an attachment but haven't attached any documents. Send anyway?"
Gmail does it.

Outlook does this too since Outlook 2013.

I cannot find MACs new 'Photos' in Finder under 'Media' when I try to attach a picture using Outlook 2011 for email.

Hi I am using Outlook 2011 and i have today uploaded MAC's new 'Photos'. When I try and attach a photo Finder no longer show the IPhoto liv=brary in Finder under Media and there is no replacement.
Help i need to send a photos using the attach button in an email in Outlook.

as an additional issue i cannot find any method now of attaching a photo to an Outlook 2011 email using Photo (e.g. using the paperclip button or the media browser)
This seems odd to me and there must be a work around.

I like to send files using "send as email attachment" and want my Word for Mac 2011 to use Outlook 2011 when i send messages but it launches Mail. tried to change in the mail preferences but still opens mail when i send via Word program.

Are you talking about the send as attachment Service? (Your system details footer says 10.6, but you are in the Leopard forum.)
If you are referring to the Service, that is a feature of Mail. It is built into Mail.app. To use Outlook, you would have to find an Outlook service. Or, in Snow Leopard, perhaps you can make your own using Automator.

Applescript and outlook 2011 reply email keeping original body

I need help with an applescript.
The idea is...
I receive an email on Outlook 2011, and I can just run this applescript and it will create a response based on the original mail, with a predefined message.
Right now it's working up to the point of creating a reply, adding the message and sending it. However, it is NOT keeping the original content of the message. that I'm replying to.
Can someone help me with that part?

how do I get Outlook 2011 Mac eml files to Mac MAIL for lion?

I'm not aware of an easy convertor from Outlook 2011 to Mac mail, but if you have still have access to the e-mail account setup in Outlook, I'd just setup Apple Mail to download the mail from that account. Then Mail will pick them up next time you get mail.
However if you don't have access to that account any longer or it's POP3 account, that won't work.
In which case you need to drag each mailbox folder (In-Box, Sent, etc.etc.) whilst in Outlook to a folder on you Mac (Desktop is fine), then from Apple Mail, goto Import Mail Mailboxes, choose Files in mbox format and select all your .mbox files, these will then apear in a folder called Import.
