Why won't photos fill window?

Hi, I'm on iPhoto 9.5.1. On an earlier version of iPhoto, when I would select a thumbnail and double click or press the spacebar, the image would fill the window. I could press the right and left arrows to browse through photos, all scaled to fill the window. In this version, when I double click it just shows the photo at actual size, and I have to manually move the slider to zoom each one (and it doesn't even remember this zooming if I leave the photo and then come back). Did they really remove this functionality or am I missing a setting somewhere?

What pixel dimensions are some of these photos?

I have it set up, in "Tools", "Options", etc., for my windows and tabs to reopen & be restored to the webpages that they were previously at before I, for one reason or another, restarted my computer! But, after I restart my computer and the Firefox browser, it always goes to my homepage; the windows & tabs NEVER restart as they should!
It wasn't always like this. It has only been within the last few weeks that this has become a constant and consistent problem. I assume that a Firefox update somehow disabled something & that's why it isn't working properly but, whatever...
How do I fix this so that my windows & tabs reopen as they should!?

Have you checked to make sure that under>> Options >> General >> That the startup behavior is appropriately? I had the same problem after upgrading and setting my homepage. It should be set to "show my windows and tabs from last time".

Sorry what is "card I bought" mean? Are you saying that somebody sold you a card with the serial number on it without the media (CD or DVD) to install from?
If this is so then you could download the trial version from Adobe website and use the serial number you have got on the card. If this is not what you meant, then please post back and explain again for us to understand the problem.
Please bear in mind that these forums are used by people all over the world so some terminology might be different in different countries.

HT201317 Why won"t photos sync to windows?

I see that iCloud control panel created a folder in under my picture tab called Photo Stream but there are no pictures in there. Any thoughts on how to fix that. As I searched around my options seemed very limited.

If the photos in your photo stream are older than 30 days, they are no longer in your photo stream to download to your PC (although they will remain on your device). Photo stream only keeps your photos for 30 days. After that they are removed from your photo stream but not from any device that has already received them.

The iPhone 5 camera resolution is 3,264 x 2,448 on a retina display. This is 1:1,33 or 4/3. As it was.

Why won't photos load to my ipad 3

I can't synch my photos to the iPad 3. I am using Windows 7, 64 bit and see that others are having the same problem. At most, it synchs 1-4 photos and gives up. It marks the space as used, but there are no photos.

Instagram is a iPhone only app. Enter Instagram in the app Store Search field. When it doesn't show up tap iPad only at the the of the screen, then tap iPhone only. Install. Change the setting back.

Why won't photos load in Apple TV 2?

All of a sudden, my Apple TV 2 can no longer load my photos via Home Sharing. It brings up the "Loading Library" and then it tells me to Turn on Home Sharing in iTunes! ***? It's already on!! Music, Videos, and TV Shows all load and stream properly. The only problem is with the Photos (and it used to work last week)!
Could it be there are too many photos or folders being shared? I've heard a limit of 20,000 pics, but I have half that. I do have over 70 folders (due to Apple's non-support of sub-folders). I have turned Home Sharing off/on in both iTunes and Apple TV. I have done the close/re-open iTunes thing. I have reset the Apple TV.
What is going on?

Thanks! Deleting the iPod Cache Folder within the iPhoto folder worked for me. This was after bashing my head against the wall for 45 minutes trying to figure out why AppleTV suddenly wouldn't recognize my photo library this morning.
Oh, and make sure to go BACK to iTunes: Advanced: Choose Photos To Share... to restore the connection between the devices. WHY one would have to go back to iTUNES to enable an iPHOTO share is beyond me. Remember when thing "just worked?" Yeah, me too. Good times.

Suddenly, my Elements 10 won't work. The Organizer window just opens in a minimized version at the lower left corner of the screen. What's going on?

Why won't photos from external drive stay on my computer (iPhoto) once I disconnect the external drive?

I'm trying to move photos from my external drive to my new computer. When I connect the external drive, I'm able to view all the photos in iPhoto, and I'm able to drag photos to a desktop folder and/or directly into iPhoto. But, when I disconnect the external drive, I no longer have access to the photos on my computer. I'm sure there's a step I may be overlooking but I'm using the same process I've used in the past and cannot determine next steps.

I'm currently working on a 2012 MacBook Air 13", running OSX 10.8.
Upon opening my external drive, I've dragged the iPhoto Library to my computer's desktop. When I've opened iPhoto and tried to import the library (from external drive and/or from the desktop), I'm unable to do so, i.e., the library is not highlighted (it won't allow me to click on it).
I can open and view the library from my external drive in iPhoto when the external drive is connected to the computer. But, once the external drive is disconnected from the computer, I'm unable to view the library
I've tried all of the aforementioned when the "Copy Imported Item(s) to the iPhoto Library" is checked.

Actually I think it's pretty good advice. There's nothing in your post to suggest you had already read the docs, and given the docs actually explain why what you're trying to do doesn't work, it's reasonable to assume you'd not read them.
Clearly the selected attribute is what I am supposed to use, however it does not work.
Well. Hmmm. You see the docs also say this:
"This attribute applies only if selection list items are generated from a query."
My emphasis. Your <cfselect> is generated from a bind attribute, not a query attribute. So that would be why it's "not working".
FWIW, this restriction seems to have been lifted in CF9. Not that that's much help to you, I imagine.
Please someone suggest a solution other than retracing my steps.

Suggestion 1: if someone takes the time to try to help you, don't be rude to them, even if you don't like their suggestion. It will not endear you to the people who are trying to help you, so you might find yourself not being helped.
Suggestion 2: I guess one approach would be to knock together some JS that runs after the form has rendered which scans down the option collection until it finds the item you want selected, then select it.
Suggestion 3: maybe just populate the select with a query instead of a bind.

Why won't the timeline window scroll?

In every version of Flash I have used (always on a Mac),
including Flash 8, I can't use the scroll wheel or track pad to
scroll up and down (or side to side, now that I have a MacBook pro
;-) in the time line window. Instead I have to stop what I'm doing
and drag the scroll bar with the mouse, or use the scroll arrows.
Over time when I am working on a complex project with lots of
layers this becomes a real hassle. I need to be able to just get
the cursor anywhere over the timeline and scroll...is that too much
to ask?? :mad;

D'oh!
If that is truly the only solution I will have to
live with it for now. It seems like a pretty basic bug to have
gotten this far through so many versions, though...anybody else out
there have the same problem?

Why won't this fill with any color

i can draw on both pictures but on the second graphic i would like to fill with the color of my choosing but for some reason i can not

Try this. I didn't try to spend too much time straightening out wiring.
I had to fix up a few things in it. For instance, on mouse down, I did a move pen so that it wouldn't draw the first line from 0,0 or last end point all the time. It only works as a free hand drawing. It would be possible to do a point to point to point so that you could draw straight line objects (i.e. triangles, squares, etc.) , but you would have to come up with an alternate way to stop creating the array of points to be filled besides mouse up. Perhaps another button such as draw.

Why won't my iTunes window open

I am running iTunes with Windows 8.1. It seemed to be running perfectly fine a day ago, but now for some strange reason, when I try to open iTunes the little preview window shows that it is running but I cannot open the window. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but that did nothing.
Please help.

Why won't photos on facebook appear to view?

It will show a box of where they are throughout the pages, but it will not show any visuals of the pics.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
See:

* Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
* Check the exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions
You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
* Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
* Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
* Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
* Go to the Media tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
* Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
* If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Why won't photos import from SD card?

While I have been previously able to import photos from my SD card into the Lightroom library, I am suddenly unable to do so. I am using the same card. What am I doing wrong? Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

Make sure you are using:
Import >>Copy
Then in the right hand panel choose a destination folder which has read/write permissions.
It’s good practice after each successful import to a folder on your hard drive, and after making a backup copy, to format the card. Formatting the card in the camera deletes all previous images and optimizes the card ready for the next shoot.
