Why won't Premiere/Media Encoder export FLV?

I seem to be unable to export to Flash Video under any circumstances. The result is the same regardless of what type of video I try to export: I have tried SD DV and HDV (more details below). In any case, the result is the same: AME loads, I click Start Queue, and it hangs with no progress in the conversion. When I check processes I see PPProHeadless, Import* and processcoordinationserver with no CPU utilization, and no progress in the output file. I end up having to end the AME application. I am able to export other types of video (MPEG-2, AVI, etc.) without a problem.
Here is some more detailed information:
The source video for one case was HDV 1440x1080 60i MPEG-2, and in the other case, a 720x480 SD DV AVI. I am outputting about 60 seconds of material, so I would not expect the process to take long. I have allowed AME to run for 15 minutes uninterrupted and there is no progress. When I Stop Queue and ask it to stop the current conversion, I get a hard hang and have to use TM to end the process. I have tried this process for all of the existing Flash Video export presets- none work. There is nothing interesting in the AME log (just a start queue description, which I'm appending to the end of this message).

  • Why won't Adobe Media Encoder export WMV?

I am using Adobe CS6 Design Standard with Adobe Media Encoder, and I'm trying to export video files to WMV using the Encoder.  I'm am running Windows 8 and for some reason the option to export to WMV does not come up for me.  I only get four options of formats, while online it says I should have many more.  This is a full version of CS6 that I bought and paid for, and every program is up to date.

Can I just buy the converter plugins or do I have to buy premiere pro or after effects?

The formats and codecs available for export through Adobe Media Encoder differ depending on what Adobe applications you have installed. The vast majority depend on the video applications, After Effects or Premiere Pro, being installed.

  • Premiere/Media Encoder can't render/export after 10.9.3 update.  Any Answers?

My computer ran the OSX 10.9.3 update a couple nights ago, and suddenly Premiere/Media Encoder can not export.  It just freezes up the computer until I cold crash it.  Same if I try to render a timeline in Premiere.  This issue just started yesterday.  It still persists after wiping my hard drive and doing a clean install of everything, which of course just put 10.9.3 back on there.  This issue does not exist on my laptop that has not been updated yet.  However, I have enough work and not enough time to be trying to edit everything on my laptop while this get worked out.  Has anyone else got this issue in the past day or two?

    Hey Todd,
I had two active projects that suddenly could not render/export.  One is quite massive and has RG Colorista quite a bit throughout it, however I could not export a timeline without any plugins on it.  The other project is also clean of plugins.  Then I started a new project and it went out just fine until I put the RG plugin on it.  But here is my newest glitch.  I just made a change to an old show and all of my titles done in Title Tool were resized and positioned.  Blown up and shifted to the right.  If I take the same file and put it on my laptop which still has not got 10.9.3, they are just fine.  Scaled properly and centered between title safe.  But now on 10.9.3 they are blown up and going off the screen.

  • For some reason, I can't compile a video or image sequence anymore with Premiere, Media Encoder, or After Effects... All CC

I have been working on a video for awhile now and I've recently noticed that my .flv export format has been removed from my choice of encoders. I export from Poser Pro Game Dev to Png Image Sequence. I organise a cam angle in After Effects...I re render out to a png image sequence.. continuing to hold quality. Then when a scene is done; I use Premiere to export a 1080 by 720 wmv format 29.97. But now I can't encode from Premere, Media Encoder, or Affter Effects. Please ...Any help would be much appreciated.

  • 24p to 29.97i in Premiere, Media Encoder or After Effects?

Sorry to bring up a much discussed topic, but as I looked on the web and in the Adobe forums I got sort of lost in the tangle of discussion about how to best take a 24p sequence in Premiere and convert it to 29.97i for broadcast. I feel like this is something that Premiere might be able to do? Or maybe Adobe Media Encoder? I generally see from other forums and posts that this is done in After Effects, an app I have never even opened. So if the answer is that I need to use AE, then I'm hoping for some detailed guidance or perhaps a tutorial video? Though as I say that I know that certainly sounds rather demanding
Any comments or assistance would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks much,

  • Media Encoder export a different font from the project file

    HI
Media Encoder export a different font from the project file when I use a installed font
The problem doesn't occur when exporting directly from Premiere
    Any ides why?
    Thanks

Hi! This also happened to me quite a few times with different fonts. Your fix worked, thank you. I don't think it's the font since, like I said, it happened with a few fonts, but just in case I was using Mf Young & Beautiful in TTF format.
Are there any side effects to turning off "import sequences natively"?

  • Pixel Aspect Ratio bug in Media Encoder export

Having a weird bug in media encoder exports that I can't seem to figure out. I have a 1080p sequence with a mix of 1080p footage and PAL DV assets. The PAL assets have a pixel aspect ratio of 1.0940. When I format them in my Premiere sequence, I am able to scale them correctly and they look fine. When I export them directly from premiere to broadcast standards it's also fine.
However, when I try to export these sequences in Media Encoder via File->Export->Media-> Queue using the same exact settings (I'm using a preset), Media Encoder formats the PAL assets as if they have square pixels. Thus, half of the footage in my sequences gets horizontally "squished." Note that this does not happen for footage that natively has square pixels, such as my 1080p camera footage.
Has anyone encountered this bug? It seems strange to me that Media Encoder would treat items in a sequence differently that Premiere during export, I was under the impression they were using the same rendering engine... It's really a problem as I'm going to have to crank out multiple versions of this 48-minute film and not being able to queue those exports is going to be a huge headache.
Using latest version of CC 2014.1 (8.1.0).

  • Premiere & Media Encoder show Quicktime presents but fail on encode

My Premiere & Media Encoder CS6 both show Quicktime presents but fail each time I try to encode directly to Quicktime with .mp4 codec.
Quicktime is installed on my machine, which runs Windows. I'm using Adobe Creative Cloud CS6.
Goal: to use the Quicktime format and sucessfully encode video sequences as .mp4 files at various settings.

BUMP! To this thread as I am still having an issue encoding QuickTime files.  Below is a quick recap with some new information.
All testing is done on a system running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1 with Adobe Media Encoder CS6, CC, and CC 2014 (same results across all versions).
The failure occurs after a few seconds of attempted rendering, with only the following message from AME:
    "Encoding Failed
    Export Error
    Error compiling movie. Unknown error."
Important note:  This problem DOES NOT exist on a similar system running Windows 7 Ultimate SP1.  So it would appear the problem may be OS specific to Windows 7 Professional (although there are a few forum threads with people experiencing the problem on Macs as well).
That said, here's what happens on the Win7 Pro system:
QuickTime movie encoding fails at 1920x1080 both from a dynamically linked Premiere timeline and from a rendered file.
    TESTS:
    1) H264 video with AAC audio FAILED
    2) H264 video with uncompressed audio FAILED
    3) Uncompressed video with AAC audio FAILED
    4) Sorenson video with uncompressed audio FAILED
    5) Uncompressed 10bit YUV .mov with uncompressed audio WORKED!!!!!
Of course, a :30 second television commercial rendered this way is near 5GB and is not the way most broadcast stations want a file delivered.
To sum up:  all of the HD presets and custom settings for QuckTime with any sort of compression, fail to render on systems running Windows 7 Professional.
Here is a link to a similar issue, but the solution listed did not work in my case.

  • Why won't premiere pro cc will not let me add an adjustment layer

why won't premiere pro cc will not let me add an adjustment layer

Glad that you got the adjustment layer issue worked out. Not quite enough info to troubleshoot the other problems. The following page outlines the kind of info that helps zero in on the cause of such problems: FAQ: What information should I provide when asking a question on this forum?
As to the cache files and rendered previews, you do not need to keep them. Premiere will regenerate them as needed. Because re-conforming the audio and re-rendering the sequence takes time, you probably want to keep those files around for the current project--unless, of course, you have reason to think that the cache or render files are causing problems.
To keep things clean and get the attention of more people, it would probably be best to start a new thread for the other issues.

  • Premiere/Media Encoder crashing EVERY time I try to export project.

Many of you have encountered similar issues, and I've scoured the forums with no resolve to my specific issue. Crashing every time I go to export in Premiere or ME. Using latest versions of both through CC--8.2
On Windows 7, I've looked into the AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Media Encoder/<version #> solution--that folder is empty. Don't know why. Hidden files are turned on.
Specs: Intel Core i5-4570 CPU @ 3.2 GHz
    Ram: 8 GB
    64 bit Windows 7
    Trying to export to H.264 --> .mp4
This error message pops up roughly 75% through the process (Note: It's roughly around the same time there's a video transition effect in the project, if that counts for anything. Not sure it would, as I completed a project with at least 12 transitions last week, albeit much shorter than this one. 3 mins vs. 1 hr).
    Yes I'm using OpenCL.
    Someone help.
    Thanks.

No, just that something went wonky with that one.  Try the Film Dissolve instead.  If that also has a problem, then it might be the clips and not the transition which is the cause.

  • Media encoder exports seem overexposed - compared to within premiere pro

i'm having constant issues with basic grading in premiere cc14 and then exporting with media encoder (h264) and things looking much brighter / overexposed on the SAME monitor.  its not a calibrated monitor (web vids only - although i know i need to remedy this) but this is happening on same monitor so problem must be in the encode, right?  others experiencing same issue have a good work around?  currently - i'm having to watch the h264 export and then go back and re-grade for that.  Pain.

Why don't you just export from Premiere?

  • Help! Exporting problem in Adobe Premiere & Media Encoder

    Hi guys,
I have a problem for which I did not find any solution on the web. I am not a very experienced Premiere Pro user. Maybe you can help me!
I made a project using Adobe Premiere Pro.
It has only one Sequence, but I have multiple clips which I want to export in that sequence as separate videos (see video 1, video 2, video 3 in the image)
The problem is that when I open Adobe Media Encoder, I open the sequence and I export all the different clips, exported videos do not keep all the Effects that I've applied to the video (contrast and brightness adjustments, other different image adjustments / effects etc).
So, I can automatically export all the videos with Media Encoder, but with no color corrections or other adjustments. When I play the Sequence in premiere it all looks good. When I export all the videos using Media Encoder, they do not have any effects applied.
If I export the sequence directly in premiere as a long video, it keeps the effects, but I get only one single video, and I need all of them exported separately.
The only way it works is making different sequence manually and exporting each one at a time. But I have 200 of them. So it will take a lifetime
I assume there is a smarter way to do it.
Did it happen to you? Is it something that I don't do right?
What should I do to keep all the Effects that I apply when exporting from Media Encoder?
Is there another method which I could use to correctly export all the 200 videos in that sequence besides doing it manually?
    Thank you!

Did you happen to select clips from the Project panel in Premiere Pro and queue to AME?  Can you export a timeline correctly (select a timeline > File menu > Export > Media > Click "Queue")?  Effects are applied only on clips in timeline and not on media clips under the Project panel.

  • Filter in Adobe Premiere Media Encoder, why so slow?

Hi all, I got XVID that has a bit of block noise (especially part which moves fast). I find that I can 'mask' it by turning the filter option in Adobe Media Encoder. I know it blur things a bit but I find the block more offensive for my eyes.
The problem is it took 22 hours to encode 26 minutes of clip to DVD MPEG2. Without it I can do the same video just under 30minutes. Do I do something wrong here?

Thanks, do you mean only blur filter in time line will do? No need to check noise reduction filter in pre-encoding option?
I tried TMPGenc using blur and noise reduction which is way much faster but the result is not as good as Premiere filter.
