  • Why won't AirPort Connect to the internet?

    The green indicator light is on, why won't AirPort connect to the internet? Here's my config http://localhostr.com/files/cfee4c/Problem.zip

    Hi Stress Test:
    Thanks very much for the reply. I've actually sorted out the problem since posting - just a few minutes ago. I reset the AirPort and reconfigured everything in manual mode with the ethernet cord from my computer connected to the AirPort. I then disconnected the ethernet cord, rebooted the modem and AirPort, did a bit more troubleshooting and suddenly I was connected to the Internet! Still not sure exactly what I did that fixed the problem, but everything is working ok now.

  • I have Dreamweaver CS5 with Windows 8 and it won't stay connected to the server and it says I need flash plug in, please help

    I have a Gateway computer with Windows 8 installed.  I have installed Dreamweaver CS5 to manage my website and it won't stay connected to the server.  It also won't play flash and says I need a flash plug in.  Please help

    #1  Try toggling Passive FTP on/off in your remote server's site definition.
    #2 Except for a handful of gaming sites, Flash is a dead web technology.  It's not supported by iPhone, iPad, iTouch, Android, etc...  I don't recommend using Flash for anything these days.  Better to use HTML5, CSS level 3 and JavaScript.

  • TS4002 Why am I unable to log onto my iCloud? Why can it not connect to the server?

    I have tried numerous times to log in and check my emails but keep getting a window pop up saying that it cannot connect to the 'server'. I have checked on the support page and it says that the iCloud has no reported issues.
    Please help!

    Hello there, amy_1505.
    It seems like you were referred to us from the Knowledge Base article below:
    iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Mail
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4002
    This is the best troubleshooting guide for the error message you’re seeing. Be sure to try all of these steps if you still get the error:
    If you can't access iCloud Mail at iCloud.com
    Make sure that you're using a supported browser and that your browser is up to date: Choose Software Update from the Apple () menu and install any available Safari updates, as well as any security and OS X updates. Instructions for updating other browsers should be available from the built-in or online help for those browsers.
    If your iCloud Mail issue occurs only when using a particular browser, try clearing that browser's cache:
    Safari 6 or later: Choose Reset Safari from the Safari menu, then select the "Clear history" checkbox and click Reset. Or choose Develop > Empty Caches (if you don't have a Develop menu, choose Safari > Preferences, click the Advanced icon, then select the “Show Develop menu in menu bar” checkbox).
    Safari 5 and earlier: Choose Empty Cache from the Safari menu.
    Other browsers: instructions should be available from the built-in or online help for the browser.
    If you're having issues accessing iCloud Mail from one location or Internet connection but not another, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or network administrator. Some Internet configurations intentionally or unintentionally prevent access to certain websites or services, such as iCloud Mail.
    Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Pedro.

  • Why won't messages upload from the server? (IMAP)

    Thunderbird 31.4
    Win7Pro 64-bit
    Two Road Runner accounts on Time Warner server.
    Password matches the PW that works fine when using the Time Warner webmail interface.
    Settings suggested by TW Help staff. (But they know nothing about Thunderbird.)
    Same settings on PC laptop work
    I tried to set up two Road Runner accounts that I have been using for years when today I junked my Profile to start all over. I had been seeing the "Account already exists" error over and over when I tried to add a second account to any of my mail servers and people were reporting the only way to fix this was to start over.
    Horrible idea, i now think as I have put hours into reconnecting and I have not even been able to get Add-ons and Plug-ins back in place as the basics don't work.
    A Hostgator account and the G-Mail account are back up and running. For the Road Runner accounts, now a part of Time Warner, I looked carefully at settings that work on my laptop, but I see no difference. However, those settings during the set up are clearly not smoothly connecting. No Incoming messages appear in TB but they are on the server as the web interface provided by Time Warner works with the same password.
    However, the SMTP isn't right as I can start a message but it won't leave the client -- The send button is grey.
    Stumped.

    Next steps taken:
    I unistalled Thunderbird and ALL profile folders and files anywhere on my Win7 machine. Emptied the Trash many times and performed many restarts to make sure things stayed Deleted. I downloaded the .exe file for 31.4 (current) from the Mozilla website. Ran the install and this time was careful to try setting up the problem account first.
    Amazing: it DIDN'T work at all. The server settings are OK (Time Warner concurs) but the initial connection NEVER went through to either the incoming or outgoing server so the account is there but there is no stored password (I looked!) for me to change (as part of my troubleshooting). I then tried my domain-based account (HostGator) and that set up right away.
    Is there a clue to this problem in seeing that these road runner accounts never populate themselves in TB with the usual folders? InBox is established but not "Sent, Trash, Junk, Template, and Archive".
    Note: I am using Manual setup as soon as TB starts trying to probe the server. I already know the "results" are wrong.
    ...and again, TB can establish the connections and settings needed for other mail servers, like HostGator, GMail, etc.
    Help, please, I need ideas. What could be SO WRONG with Time Warner and this machine that this can't be configured. Note that I can get the mail for these accounts on my Win7 laptop here, so same TB program version, same accounts, same settings. same router, same WAN modem.
    I continue stumped. Please help!

  • Why won't Firefox connect to the internet?

    a few days ago, my firefox just stopped working all of a sudden. i can open up a page but it won't connect to the internet which is really weird because i've had my pc for a while and i've never had this problem. maybe it was the latest update for firefox? i can also browse the internet with internet explorer and safari but i like firefox a lot better so this issue is irritating. it was just from one day to another, i didn't do anything out of the ordinary to my pc and firefox doesn't work anymore. i'm hoping its just a glitch and other people are experiencing it too and there will be a solution soon but i can't help but feel frustrated. please help!

  • Why won't it connect to the internet??

    I have had my iPod 5 for about 71/2 months and it has been working fine. But all of a sudden it will not connect to the internet to anywhere except my house. This has been going on since June 29th. What do I do? (I have tried turning it on and off and also resetting my network connections.)

    Does the iPod connect to other networks?
    Does the iPod see the other networks?
    Any error messages when trying the other networks?
    Do other devices now connect to the other networks?
    Did the iPod connect before?
    Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Why Windows refuses to connect to the server ?

    Hi,
    we have a Xserve running Mac OS X server 10.5.6 and some folders are shared in AFP and SMB. With a Mac we can connect to these folders using both protocols but with PCs, some accept to connect and others not even running both XP SP3?!? We have no idea why... When we tried to connect using a recalcitrant PC we are looping at the window asking user and password.
    Any tip will be welcome.
    Regards.

        Oh boy! Let me see what's going on. Are you using the VZW Cloud or the BUA app? Please try downloading the VZW Cloud app if you dont already have it. And once downloaded. Tap the 3 bars in the upper corner and go down to "TOOLS", then tap "RESTORE CONTENT". That should do it!

  • Why won't firefox connect to the internet when IE will?

    Mozilla stopped working about a week ago without my knowledge of any updates or anything like that. Internet Explorer still works fine and will connect but when I try to use Firefox it tells me 'unable to connect.' I have already removed Firefox and re-installed but that has not corrected the problem. I also spent some time looking through the settings of Firefox and things seem in order. Do you have any suggestions? I'm not sure why this happened but I can't take IE much longer (yeah your product is that good!). I am currently running windows 7.
    Thanks,

  • Why I can't connect to the server ?

    Hi, I want to implement a simple viewer for an axis camera on the web. I have just this simple file but when I run it from the terminal I got the following error:
    java.io.FileNotFoundException: http:/142.22.58.150/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?camera=&showlength=1&resolution=704x480 (No such file or directory)
    I tried with different urls, but still the same error. I run the code from the osx terminal. Should I change some permissions ? should i modify the code ? how ?
    thanks
    public class Viewer extends JFrame {
         Viewer() {
              //TODO set frame size for the container
              //set frame size
              this.setSize(500, 500);
              this.setTitle("camera Manager viewer");
              // axis camera connection
              String cameraStreaming = "http://142.22.58.150/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?camera=&showlength=1&resolution=704x480";
              BufferedImage img = null;
              try {
              //Loading video streaming
              BoundaryMJPEGConnection bMconnection = new BoundaryMJPEGConnection( new FileInputStream(new File(cameraStreaming)));
              //getImage
              //byte[] bMconnection.getNextImage();
              try {
                   img = ImageIO.read(new ByteArrayInputStream(bMconnection.getNextImage()));
              } catch (IOException e) {
              System.out.println(e);
              } catch (IOException e) {
              System.out.println(e);

    That URL isn't a file. So don't use a File object or a FileInputStream if you want to read it.
    This tutorial tells you how to read from a URL, among other things:
