Why won't some photos or videos sync to my iPad when they work fine with iPhoto and iTunes? Other photos taken with same camera sync fine from iPhoto while certain events are inexplicably incompatible. I've recently foundvthecsame occurrence with certain mp3s and videos from iTunes.

For photos try deleting the photo cache from your computer and then re-try the photo sync and see if they then copy over - the location of the cache, and how to delete it, is on this page http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1314
Not all video formats that work in iTunes are compatible with the iPad - the supported formats are (from http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/) :
Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 720p, 30 frames per second, Main Profile level 3.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format
Have you tried Advanced > Create iPad Version and then sync those versions to the iPad

Why won't some of my numbers spreadsheets from my iPad open with iCloud on my Mac (Yosemite)? When I look at the files in FiNader there's a grey bar next to the files that won't open.

I am having the same problem. Created new spreadsheet on iPad with fresh iOS and Numbers installs (3/2015) and am unable to open this spreadsheet in iCloud in Safari on MacBook Air (all current). I get the following message:
"Sorry, something went wrong.
This spreadsheet can't be opened right now. Please try again later."
Tried reopening on Mac from iCloud and resaving; still cannot open.
Quick fix: Copying the spreadsheet content from the iPad spreadsheet to one created on the desktop recovers the ability to open it in iCloud in Safari.

ITunes video sync mac to ipad does not work

Question of my managing director:
here I have a mac (lion) and an iPad3 (64 GB). In iTunes he has bought a movie "Battleship" HD-version and he wants to synchronize it with his iPad3.
It is correctly marked in iTunes for sync, there is enough free space left on the iPad and the sync works well without any fault. But the final result is,
that this video does not appear in "Videos" on the iPad.
On the other hand, the sync of music videos works fine, but not with movies he bought in iTunes.
Both, mac and ipad have the same iTunes account. There are no other restrictions set on the iPad.
What can I do? Thanks in advance for your support

Check to be sure you have set the correct default calendar on your phone. Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>tap Default Calendar (in the Calendar section near the bottom). You probably don't want to choose "Calendar" under On My iPhone.

TS2634 Why are my earphones crackling in my iPad? They work on my iPod and it happens with other earphones too

Recently on my iPad when I listen to music with my earphones, they start to crackle! It does it with all of my earphones! Why does this happen( plus its fine on my iPod)?

It took most of the morning but I worked out what was causing the issue... the PNG files were! Still don't understand why though...
The correct PNG files are using "sRGB IEC61966-2.1" colour profile and the wrong ones were using "eciRGB v2" (the one I am supposed to be using from the company).
The InDesign document colour profile is set to "eciRGB v2" on all files (including embedded into imported images from PS and Illustrator).
The PDF setting (also a custom one from the company) Output Colour Conversion Destination set to "sRGB IEC61966-2.1" opening up the PDF in PS Colour changed to "eciRGB v2" on files not working... don't know why. I even tried changing the InDesign colour profile to "sRGB IEC61966-2.1" before exporting PDF, still opening up in PS as "eciRGB v2"... tried convert to profile in PS several times, crash it every time, also tried on other Mac, still crashed.
Changed colour profile in InDesign back to "eciRGB v2". Checked the imported assets, begun trial and error, removing photos then making PDF to see if they were causing the problem, and so on... four of the ai files were causing the PDF to open as "eciRGB v2" instead of "sRGB IEC61966-2.1".
I checked the settings in these ai files, they are exactly the same as the ai files in all the pages which are working, so still at a loss as to why these ones we're causing trouble when the others weren't. After checking several things, transparency, isolated blending, knockout groups etc I changed the edit colours and converted to RGB saved and updated, problem solved... made PDF, open in PS as "sRGB IEC61966-2.1" re-imported, remade PDF, perfect! Lovely and bright!
Why!? And please, any suggestions on a better workflow to save me having to do this ever again much appreciated.

Why can't I log into an app on my ipad when it works on my iphone? Specifically ones that require my U-verse login to view.

I am unable to use some of the tv viewing apps that require my ATT Uverse login. They apps such as NBCSports work fine on my iphone, but when I try to use it on my ipad, I get a user not authorized message.

You can use iCab Mobile to log into your iCloud.com account on the iPad. You must identify iCab as a desktop browser. I use iCab Mobile and I identify it as Fire Fox 4.0 for Mac. I can log into my account this way.
I do NOT have iCloud email so I'm not positive that you can log into the email this way, but IF I recall correctly from reading a couple of other posts, it will work.
If you want to take a chance, download iCab for $1.99 (I think). I can tell you this much - it is a superior browser to Safari on the iPad in just about anyway that you can imagine - even if you can't access your iCloud mail.

Why won't some photos copy to iPod from iPhoto?

I created a folder of favorite pictures in my iPhoto specifically to be set to music in slideshow on my iPod. But of the 65 photos in the original iPhoto folder, only 52 appear on my iPod. (I've tried syncing the entire folder several times--with the same result.) What could be the reason that iPod won't accept so many of the iPhoto pictures?

Why won't my Photo Stream update to my new iPad?

I just upgraded to an iPad4 and after a bit of a struggle all my apps were successfully installed from my original iPad.
But, photostream only lownloaded the last 2 weeks of photos (only about 6 from my iPhone).
How can I get the rest of what's in PhotoStram uploaded to the iPad?

I've tested the files in dreamweaver, on all browsers, and they work fine. But when I uploaded them to my site they only work in Firefox. The crazy thing is when I check the file in file management they work just not from the main site. What am I missing?

I have a MacBook Pro bought in 2010. I had been burning Sony DVD+R's without any problem.
Then I ran out of blanks and bought a cake of Sony DVD-R's. Put one into the drive and the
macbook spit it out. Launched Toast then inserted the blank again and Toast says "You can't write
to this disk". Quit Toast and out comes the blank.
The system info for the DVD drive says it can read/write -R, -R DL. +R, +R DL, etc. Anything.
I don't know what the problem is, but it is not a failing or dirty drive. I don't think it is a problem with
the blank DVDs either. It is probably a compatibility problem between MacBook Pros and
Snow Leopard/Leopard and -R DVDs.

I've continued tests on different films, and tried my entire collection. I've found about two dozen that will play fine on the PC, but will not cooperate when streamed to either Apple TV or my iPad. I tried several more tests with the audio, and that turned out not to be a factor -- I could not replicate that on another test.
I wonder if something in the header of these files is corrupted or a flag is set incorrectly or something along those lines, as the data appears to be fine -- it's just not "handshaking" with my streaming hardware and/or the Apple Home Sharing code that powers it.
Is there any way for me to "scrub" these files and amend their headers, or get into the file and tinker with that info by hand?

What is the file name of the video(s) you want to sync?
Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

I'm confirming that after trying several other ideas, the steps outlined here by S.E.A. and Amelia P. worked perfectly. For those of you having problems with certain songs not playing, or the wrong song playing, follow their "unsynch" "resynch" process. A few notes:
Before starting, I was confident that iOS 5, iTunes 10.5, and Mac OS X 10.7.2 were all up-to-date and functioning correctly.
After selecting my Device in iTunes (an iPhone 4S in my case), then selecting the "Music" tab and unchecking "Sync Music", be sure that it actually Applies the new settings (force a synch to be sure).
After this step, most of the songs disappeared from my device (including all of the corrupted ones) but not all songs (perhaps it left those that I purchased directly on the device?). In any case, don't worry about these. Just re-check the boxes you unchecked and then be sure to force a synch again. It should take a while to complete if you've got a lot of music.
