Why won't the Avatar Interactive Desktop work on Windows xp SP3

As said in the title Why won't the Avatar Interactive Desktop work on Windows xp SP3. I have tried everything (uninstalling AIR, reinsalling it etc) I can think of but nothing makes it work. This image shows what I get in return every time I try to install the app. My PC meets all requirements to run Adobe AIR. Why is this occuring? I have the current version of AIR.

Why won't the Totals in Desktop work?

I have a number of sheets that need to have totals. The report is a breakdown of staff numbers by religious belief and location/age band/directorate etc (one sheet for each).
The report takes items from three different folders and the uses a count of staff number. When I use the Grand total option in Discoverer based on SUM of the count of SE numbers it does nothing.
Any ideas as to where I'm going wrong and how I can fix this?

Totals generally do not display for one of two reasons:
1. There is a fault in your code that prevents a total from being calculated - such as the presence of a NULL value
2. Discoverer is protecting you from yourself by not generating results that would be in error - such as cartesian joins or replicated items
A couple of things to try are:
1. Switch the formula for the calculation from SUM to CELL SUM
2. Change the Aggregation tab settings on the Options screen (use Tools | Options) and drop it down a notch from using the default to the next one on the list (show the values that cannot be aggregated) - if this doesn't work try dropping it down to the lowest level (show the sum in the contributing cells)
3. If you still have a problem it could be that you have duplicated items - out of the box Discoverer won't sum these
To solve the duplicated items problem requires you add a new setting to your registry called AllowAggregationOverRepeatedValues. There is a good note about this on MetaLink called Subtotals and Grand Totals Showing Blanks in Discoverer Desktop as note number: 358707.1

Why won't the Creative Cloud Desktop App Work??

I have been trying for 2 weeks to get Creative Cloud to update to the CC versions from CS6 versions. I've tried all the different methods I've found on the Forums. Deleted the OOBE directory, tried to download directly from the Download page. Nothing works! the CCDesktop app is just a blank page - i've deleted and reinstalled the app at least 15 times - still a blank window for the CC Desktop app. Does anyone have a workable solution? I am running a 2011 iMac 27' 3.1 GHZ i5 core with OS 10.9.1

I'm having the same really frustrating issue. Did the link below help you at all? It did nothing for me. This problem with the creative cloud desktop being blank happened as soon as I installed the latest update for it. Ever since then, it's been blank, and thus, worthless to me.

Why won't the google webfont Arimo work in Edge Inspect on Android?

I've got the webfont Arimo in my site from google.com/fonts using the CSS include - it works in chrome and firefox on Mac, in Edge Inspect on iPad, but not in Edge Inspect on Android. Instead, I get what looks like Roboto - a narrow width sans. Is there anything I can do to get this working properly? The font also works in Chrome on android.
Is Edge Inspect using the Android browser? It's version 4.3.1, if that helps.

Alright, I figured this out. Apparently Android Browser is what Edge Inspect uses behind the scenes - someone correct me if that's wrong. The web fonts won't load in my android browser unless I specify the SVG version only. So, to work around this for now, I've put the svg version in my media queries for medium and small devices. Not a kludge I like, but it works. Chalk this one up to an issue with Android Browser.

Why won't the Google Earth plugin work?

The Google Earth plugin won't load on Firefox (v 17). I have Windows XP Service Pack 3.

Im in Vancouver and trying to stream a local station on an app called CHUM Radio player. The station TEAM 1040 loads, says buffering but then wont play...
I select Play...
says "CONNECTION IN PROGRESS"
then says "BUFFERING" forever.
no volume no sound noTHING.
Same with other available stations...

Let me suggest first off, just a simple reboot, and try again.

Wel your "answer" provides not only a bad comparison, but is disingenuous at its heart!
Apple sold a product (8GB iPod Touch) that one could have assumed to be 3rd generation at the time of purchase (because that was what all the other models of iPod Touch were at the time). Then when ios 4.3 came out, we who purchased one of these units found out that the 8GB Touch was really a 2nd generation model, and it would not ever be updated beyond ios 4.2.1 (8C148). Since the version (4.2.1) is BUGGY, it would be in the best interest of Apple to at least provide a bug-fix update release for these units. It is not like we are asking for all the new features of ios 4.3, just fix the BUGS, please, Apple!

I found an article that can help with troubleshooting an iPhone's receiver or speakers.

Verify that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack, including headsets, headphones, or adapters.
Make sure the Ring/Silent switch is not switched to silent.
While on the Home screen, adjust the volume buttons. If you see the icon below, indicating that headphones are attached, there may be debris or an object lodged in the headset jack:
Check the headset jack. If there is an object lodged in the headset jack that is not easily removed, have the iPhone serviced to remove object.
For Original iPhone: If there is light debris, such as lint, in the headset jack, try connecting a pair of headphones to the headset jack and then remove the headphones. Repeat this several times to remove the debris.
If you have installed a protective film on the display, either ensure that the receiver is not covered or remove the film completely.
Check the receiver mesh (which is on the top front of the device, above the display). If it appears blocked, use a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush to carefully and gently brush away any debris.
If you have paired with a Bluetooth headset that is nearby, either use the headset or turn Bluetooth off (chooseSettings > General > Bluetooth).
Restart the iPhone.
If restarting the iPhone doesn't resolve the issue, try restoring the device.
If the issue persists, go to the Service Answer Center - iPhone for information on service.

I just found and removed a small piece of sticky tape which was covering the mic. The mic is on the top surface of a mac - you can only just see a lighter coloured small round circle in line with the camera on the top narrow surface. My problem was sorted despite all other help and just before I gave up. Check no-one has posted a sticky message, camera cover or even an ornament over your mic. How many folk know where the mic is?
