I have been using itunes for years and have never had any problems with it. I was advised by itunes today that a new update was available which I routinely tried to install. However the update failed with the message "Runtime Error" Program:C:\Program Files (x86) iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe R6034 An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the application's support team for more information. Unfortunately I have no idea what this means. I tried uninstalling Itunes and downloading it again from the apple website. It seemed to download OK! but when I tried to open it I received the same message as before.I am now stuck with hundreds of songs, TV & movies purchased from apple with no means of playing them on my PC. Any assistance would be appreciated. I am running Windows 7 and have an i5 processor and a 1gb Nvidia graphics card installed. Is it my PC or an issue with the latest version of itunes?

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

Why won't the 10.6.8 update install?

I am doing a free install on a large hard drive.
I previously ran Leopard o my old mac, bought snow leopard, then upgraded to mountain lion. That worked fine.
Now i have put a 640gb hard drive in my mac, installed 10.6.3, works fine. Now i want to update to get the app store again and then get mountain lion again, on my new hard drive.
The 10.6.8 update WON'T install. I have tried about 10 times and it fails at the end EVERY time.
Any ideas?

Why won't the new Nectar Search toolbar install into Firefox 25?

I have used the Nectar Search toolbar with Firefox since it was introduced with no problems at all. Nectar have recently introduced a new Search toolbar to replace the previous version, and although I have re-installed it 3 times on my PC, (Windows XP Pro) Firefox won't pick it up or recognise it.
I have checked with Nectar and it is not their problem, especially as the new toolbar works perfectly on my same PC if I use Internet Explorer!
Nectar assure me their toolbar IS compatible with Firefox 25.0.1 which is the one I am using.

I've sent them a copy of my post with a link to this thread. I expect that I will be told to clear my cache and browser history, and that sort of thing. Having worked in a software house, I have learnt never to expect a technically relevant reply from the help desk. However maybe they'll prove me wrong in this case. If I get a useful reply I'll post it here.

Why Won't The Latest Update for iCloud Install?

Apple keeps trying to update iCloud, but even after updating iTunes, QuickTime, and my iPhone successfully, the iCloud update still won't install. It bombs out at the end in the "validating installation" step, and says there is something wrong with the installer file, and rolls back the attempted installation. This keeps happening with the automatic update, wither I let it run automatically or select the "download only" option and then run the update myself. And, this happens when I go to the iCloud website and download the latest version, to try to manually install that.
How can I get a good copy of the iCloud update package?

I see that you’re having some issues with an attempted update to iCloud Control Panel for Windows. Since this is happening when you are attempting to update iCloud Control Panel through the automatic update process and when attempting to manually update the program, this issue could possibly stem from interference with security software on your computer. I have FF Vers 27.0.1 so why won't the latest browser update not install on my Windows XP system?

I went to a website with tons of different graphics. A window popped up alerting me to a browser extension update. I clicked on it and a Firefox update screen appeared saying my Firefox 27.0 browser was outdated. I saved the updater: Setup.exe. by clicking on the Accept and Install button in the setup box. What happens is that it just keeps saving the download when you click on the Accept and Install button and never goes to the install part.

hello, this is a scam tactic that is trying to trick you into installing malware, so don't download or execute this kind of stuff! only download firefox from its official location at mozilla.org - in addition updates are handled automatically by firefox so you don't have to download anything (you can initiate a check for ''updates in firefox > help > about firefox'').
you might also want to run a full scan of your system with the security software already in place and different tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes], [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner] & [http://www.kaspersky.com/security-scan kaspersky security scan] in order to make sure that there isn't already some sort of malware active on your system that triggers these false alerts.

Why won't the date and time stay in the menu bar?

I just installed 10.6.2 and even when I use System Preferences to check the box in the Date/Time panel they flicker and disappear from the menu bar. Why won't the Date and Time stay in the Menu Bar? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Doesn't any bring up the fact that Apple has so many customers with problems that the refuse to help unless you pay them cash? They update you and screw you over and then offer no useful troubleshooting scenarioius to help their millions of customers. It is because they want millions of our dollars. I hate Apple.

It won't let me download iOS 7. When I check for software updates it says that it is up to date. I also went to iTunes to delete the songs from the iPod, but now it isn't even recognizing any devices. I even uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it to my computer. LOL I am sure it is something small, but I don't have the patience for it now. Maybe I should step away from the computer and come back in a little bit... Thank you for the advice though! This FAQ should describe the issue - you need to be using Adobe Reader (free) or Adobe Acrobat to fill out the PDF, Preview on the Mac breaks the PDF so it is no longer usable: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2653

As said in the title Why won't the Avatar Interactive Desktop work on Windows xp SP3. I have tried everything (uninstalling AIR, reinsalling it etc) I can think of but nothing makes it work. This image shows what I get in return every time I try to install the app. My PC meets all requirements to run Adobe AIR. Why is this occuring? I have the current version of AIR.
