Why won't the new flash work, I get a blank screen?

I have a Mac, OSX 10.6.8, and downloaded the new Flash. My settings says: plug-in version 11.1.102.55 is installed. The challenge is - it does not work. I simply get a blank grey screen. I have followed all the directions. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled - several times. I don't know what else to do! Can anyone help?

What page are you visiting? Are you using Safari? As a test, can you try downloading Chrome and see if that allows you to see Flash content?

Alright, so, about a week or two ago (around when the update came out) the flash on my computer stopped working, now browser-based is fine, but anything i tried to work with without internet no longer functions, So I've tried downloading this update atleast 4 different times, and each time, it downloads completely as far as i can tell, but it doesn't show up anywhere on my computer as well as the flash files still being un openable. any help?

Oh right, i meant to include that information but i must've forgotten.
1. I'm using Windows XP, 32 bit.
2. I use the 32 bit version of a browser called Rockmelt, but like i said flash in my browser works fine.
3. Currently i have no flash player, but i've attempted multiple times to install v11.2.202.228
4. As I said, starting around the update, the flash player on my computer no longer runs or opens any flash objects or .swf files. I get no error message after installation is complete, but i can't use it.

I uninstall it yesterday and download the last version on adobe
it's on firefox, I can use safari but I need to reload many time to have something

After downloading, you need to run the installer.
Could you please visit this site: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
If Flash Player is installed in your machine, it will give you the version number.

im with internet explorer and i have downloaded the new installation of the flash player, i try to watch video's on youtube, game's, and other things.
it just tells me to get the new flash player, i dont know why this is, can you please help me out ?

Which version of Windows have you got? XP, Vista or 7? And is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

Why won't the new Nectar Search toolbar install into Firefox 25?

I have used the Nectar Search toolbar with Firefox since it was introduced with no problems at all. Nectar have recently introduced a new Search toolbar to replace the previous version, and although I have re-installed it 3 times on my PC, (Windows XP Pro) Firefox won't pick it up or recognise it.
I have checked with Nectar and it is not their problem, especially as the new toolbar works perfectly on my same PC if I use Internet Explorer!
Nectar assure me their toolbar IS compatible with Firefox 25.0.1 which is the one I am using.

I've sent them a copy of my post with a link to this thread. I expect that I will be told to clear my cache and browser history, and that sort of thing. Having worked in a software house, I have learnt never to expect a technically relevant reply from the help desk. However maybe they'll prove me wrong in this case. If I get a useful reply I'll post it here.

My camera stopped working, I get a blank screen. Does anyone know how to fix this?

My ipad3 is a couple of months old and the camera stopped working. When I select the camera app I get a blank screen. I can't do anything but close the app. Has anyone else experienced this? How can I correct?

When you say that you can close it are you closing the app this way?
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button when you are done.

Every time I've tried to watch a youtube video in the past week it asks me to update my adobe flash player. I've tried at least 5 times over the course of several days and now I'm convinced that it isn't me. Apparently, you can't get tech support from adobe without spending money and if you ask me that sounds like a scam.
Every time I download it I've followed the instructions perfectly. I'm using Firefox 6.0.2. After downloading it and closing my browser like it asks, I click "retry" then "finish" and it opens up a new firefox window that says I'm running the new adobe flash player. I'll try to watch a video and it doesn't work. It seems like a frivolous thing to spend this much time fixing but I want to watch the OU/FSU game online next week and I'm afraid this issue won't be sorted out in time

I was having the same issue with installing Flash player 10.3.183.10 in both Firefox 6.0.2 and Explorer 9 -- the Task Manager would show the installer running as a process, but it would never actually install anything. It would just sit there until I killed it or rebooted.
It seems that there are multiple versions of the separate installers needed. The installer that worked for me in Firefox was
install_flash_player_10.exe -- a 3,017KB file
and for Explorer, it was:
install_flash_player_10_active_x.exe -- a 3,054KB file.
Neither of those files was sent by the main updater page, nor did that page offer the 239KB uninstall_flash_player.exe, which is needed to uninstall the previous Flash version before one can even begin to try to update it. I had to pound through the messages in the forums to find links to those "full" installers.
It is working now in both browsers, but jeepers creepers, it shouldn't take all day to find the installers for something that gets updated as often as Flash does.

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?
I would note there is a long-standing issue between Kodaks and some versions of OS X - the workaround for that is to use a USB Card reader.

Facebook won't open in safari - I keep getting a blank screen?

I am trying to open Facebook in safari to update pages I administrate; I keep getting a blank page. Have tried deleting history, cookies, etc to no avail. Any suggestions?

AdBlock is the culprit. I was getting the same problem until I disabled 'AdBlock' in my my extensions and hey presto Facebook popped back up. Safari>Preferences>Extensions then disable it.

Why won't the Tabs function work (Open new window in a new tab instead)??

My current problem is- - I'm running FF.32, and when I click on a link (in an email, article, webpage link... anything) it opens in the Current window... it doesn't open a new* window, or new tab (as selected)... it "closes" the current page and opens the clicked-on link or email... Unless* I right-click on it and Tell it to open in a new tab instead (but I have to right-click and tell it to do this). I don't think this is normal. What do I need to change..?

I think it is Firefox's default setting to open links in the current tab unless the site forces the link to open in a new window, or you explicitly open the link in a new tab/window.
You may need an extension like [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tab-mix-plus/ Tab Mix Plus] to open links like how you want.

Why won't my new 5s work with my Audi (cable connection) or boombox even though my 5 did?

My new iPhone 5s will not play music via my Boombox or my Audi car connection (using cable that connects where headphones connect) sound plays fine through apple headphones but if I connect up to the other devices it goes silent but no sound comes from the car or boombox, my iPhone 5 running the same operating system work perfectly OK? Can anyone help with this as I am about to sell my iPhone 5 but am pretty miffed to now have a device that I can't connect up to listen to music.

Other users have had the same problem. Here are two possiblities:
1) get both the iPhone and Bluetooth in car to forget each other and then reintroduce as a new device.
2) It's possible that iOS7 has an updated Bluetooth that is not compatible with older versions used in cars. Contact the dealer to see if there's an upgrade for the car's firmware.

Try the following.
First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Desktop.
Flash Player Uninstaller.
When the download has completed, close all browser windows and run the uninstaller. After this has completed, restart the notebook.
Next, download and install Firefox and then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash. Note: You may want to deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading.
Close all browser windows before running the Flash installer.
Launch Firefox and see if videos etc play Ok in this browser - if they do, close Firefox, open Internet Explorer and click on the same Adobe Flash link above to get a prompt to install the ActiveX component. When done, restart Internet Explorer.
