Thanks .Ralph. The problem is only on the iPad 2only. I have an iPad 1 as well and it never had the problem. The only videos that I have tried are you tube and the tutorials on apple.com. I have absolutely no problem on either of my laptops or desktop PC's. Only the iPad 2. I am a new Apple user, so not very familiar yet with the product, but this is an absolute deal breaker for me. With Apple's reputation I was not expecting any such problems and it is beyond my skill set to solve it. Very frustrating. Again, no problem with you tube videos. I don't watch movies, so am not a Netflix member and haven't tried that yet, only you tube videos and apple.com tutorial videos. I have to watch those on my laptop. Again, I found a fix to the you tube problem. It was a link to a site. www.youtube/html5. html5 video player trial that you click on and once done, the videos on the you tube app started working great. They were doing the same thing as the tutorial videos prior to that. No such luck with the other web videos, at least the ones that i have tried. Hope this is enough info and understandable. You might check out the html5 site. I didn't thoroughly understand why, but it worked. You may understand it better. I am a proficient user, but far from an I.t. Pro. I have read Many posts with similar problems, but no simple solutions and the ones I did try didn't work. Speed tested well. Channel is set to auto and always different than neighboring networks, usually channel 11. Tried disabling QOS as suggested....no good. I am completely stumped. Any help is greatly appreciated. if it don't work on both wifi and 3g then likely it's the email account settings which are incorrect set
and you should go over them 1 by 1 with the guide from the email provider as how to setup their mail service
if it works over wifi but not 3g then likely your carrier blocks the port your mail provider require

My apps will not download on my new ipad mini? They remain in the "waiting" stage for days. have tried deleting and re-downloading one by one, but have not had any success.

I was having the same problem and I tried the following and now everything is working fine:
Reset Network Settings. Resetting your network settings is a fast, easy way to trouble shoot your WiFi connection issues on your iPad Mini, and also on your iPad and iPhone as well. Resetting your network settings allows your device to flush out all cache information from your wireless network, DNS and nameserver settings, etc… basically it allows your device to start fresh on your wireless network.Here’s how to reset your network settings on your iPad Mini (iPhone and iPad as well).
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Tap “Settings” icon on your homepage > tap the “General” option > tap on “Reset” > then finally tap on “Reset Network Settings”. Your iPad will restart.
Renew IP Address.
Settings > Wifi > Tap the Blue Arrow (right-hand side) next to the network that you connect to
Click Auto under HTTP Proxy
Click Renew Lease
Connect to your selected network
Try Safari, then YouTube, then try downloading a free app.
If you still do not have appropriate connectivity after this, take to your local Apple Store/Reseller and test, fix, or replace.

When playing a YouTube video... It stops as if the pause was selected. I have to press play time and again to work my way through it. Is there a fix?

This is usually caused by an internet connection that is not fast enough to keep up with the playing of the video. Once the video reaches the end of what has been download, it pauses. You have to tap and then tap play to start it up again. Once it pauses it's best to wait until more video has been uploaded before tapping play again.

Open the system menu via Alt+Space and see if you can resize that window.<br />
If that works then close Firefox (File > Exit/Quit) to save that setting.

Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Preferences/com.apple.quicktimeplayer.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

Have you tried Advanced > Create iPad Version and then sync those versions to the iPad

Why won't my Creaive Cloud find new updates for software? For example, I know Illustrator 17.1 has been released with cool new features; however, my creative cloud seems to be oblivious to this update and any other updates and I do not know how to make work properly again. Creative cloud hasn't prompted me to update any software for over a month and so it is likely missing plenty of updates; however, it is the Illustrator update I want most.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lee if you remove and reinstall Illustrator do the new updates get applied? If not then please review your installation log files for the error which may be preventing the update from being applied. Thank you, reducing the image size worked! I had used a low res file before, and with success decided to increase the resolution/size, and then it didn't work. the image did appear in small preview in the export panel, but wouldn't burn when all was said and done. the dimensions you gave worked fine. unfortunately, it makes the image a little bit fuzzy, but i dont think i can do anything about this. at least it burned it in there. thanks!
