Why won't you enable downloading photo from iPhone

I think it's annoying that every time I connect my iPhone to my Mac iPhoto pops up, and the worse thing is that I can't just download photos straight from the the phone to the computer.
So why do you make it so hard to drag photos from the phone to the iPhoto library?

think it's annoying that every time I connect my iPhone to my Mac iPhoto pops up,
iPhoto Preference -> General -> Connecting Camera opens... and select your preferred option
and the worse thing is that I can't just download photos straight from the the phone to the computer.
Have you tried Image Capture (in your Applications Folder)?
Who are the "you" you think you're talking to?

There are different kinds of CD Formatting.
You probably have a CD formatted for Windows only.
Do you see the CD in Utility Disc ? there are the informations about the Cd.

  • Trouble downloading photos from iPhone to iMac.  Error message says I need to free up space on Startup Disc

After clicking "Download," the iMac seems to download photos from iPhone.  Eventually, I get message that I need to free up space on Startup Disc by deleting files.  What to do?

You are in a very dangerous situation and you need to fix it now.
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.

How do I download photos from iPhone 4 to Samsung laptop.

What version of Windows? In Windows 7 an iPhone shows up as a digital camera in the Computer section of the Start menu and you can import the photos from there. I'm not sure if it is the same in Windows 8 but it wouldn't hurt to check.

  • Missing iphoto pics after downloading photos from iphone

I downloaded photos from iphone to iphoto and now the only photos that appear in the iphoto library are the ones I just downloaded from the iphone, not any of the earlier ones. There is only one iphoto library to open.  I was able to get all of the earlier photos back by option clicking the library but now the ones from iphoto are missing, despite there only being one iphoto library to open.  How do I unite them?

This is likely the case.  The only time I see double libraries is when I "Show package contents".  Then there is a "library" (which has all the pics) and a library.photo and a library6.photo.  Both look exactly the same as the real photo library but neither can be opened.
I can retake the pictures - it's only 20 or so now and recent too - I just wish I knew what had happened so that it wouldn't happen again!
Thanks for all of the help!

  • Why can't you easily attach photos from Mail?

I'm kind of scratching my head that there is no option in Mail to attach photos or videos. I know that I can exit from Mail, go to Photos, select Copy, select photos, exit Photos, go back to Mail and paste them, but that's about 7 steps too many for my liking. Why isn't there an attachment feature right in the Mail app?

Why don't you use the "Photo Browser" in the top right hand corner (when you create a new mail),
Because we're talking about creating an email in the Mail app _on an iPhone_, not in the Mail app on a Mac. Scroll up to check the forum you're posting in...

  • I am unable to download photos from iPhone 4, SD card and SLR camera to iPad 2 using apple accessories. It worked once and then never again. Any ideas ?

I am unable to download photos from my iphone4 , SD card , SLR camera to my ipad2 using apple accessories , please help , it has worked once and then never again.

    Plumchunks-
The only accessory I know of that can be used to transfer photos from a camera or SD card to the iPad, is the Apple Camera Connection Kit.  The kit consists of two adapters.  One has an SD card socket.  The other has a USB connector to connect directly to the camera.
I do not think you can transfer photos from the iPhone to the iPad unless you first transfer them to a computer.  If you then transfer the photos to an SD card, they must have eight character names plus suffix and be stored in a DCIM folder, just as if they came from a camera.
One thing you can try is to reboot the iPad.  Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow.  The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes.  Rebootting will not hurt anything and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

  • How to download photos from iphone 4s to pc

How do you download photos from iphn 4s to my windows 7 pc?  How can if the Camera Roll is being downloaded
as opposed to the Photo Stream?
    Please advise... and thanks!
Also - where in the phone can I see how much video space I have used or have left? and the same question for photo space?
Also - how do I put a password onto my phone to lock it?

You can transfer photos from your phone to the computer by connecting your iPhone to your PC. When you do that and when your iPhone is recognized by iTunes ..Open up "My Computer" and you'll be able to see your phone there . You then can drag all your photos to a folder in your computer or simply copy and paste whatever you choose.
You can check how much memory you have used up and how much is available in Settings>General>Usage.

See this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083. Make sure that if you have a passcode lock on the phone that you unlock the phone prior to connecting the device. Also, if you do not have Import photo set up in AutoPlay, you may have to go to Computer, then right-click on the phone and select Import photos.

  • Downloading Photos from iPhone to PC in sequence

    I have an issue.

Does anyone face the same problem? How can I resolve it?

You will find it better if you just don't use the wizard. Instead go to My Computer and you will see it like a drive. You can just browse into it and copy them off. They will be in order that way. However you cannot delete from there. It is read only.
