Why wont adobe install

Downloaded adobe so as I can open PDF files but can not open download, my operating system is windows 7.

I have same problem but i have tried all the latest version and older version, online installation and offline installation.
The error message came up after 100% installation as below

Why does Adobe install 3rd party software with PE 10 without asking?

I purchased Photoshop Elements and Priemere Elements 10 together. During installation Adobe installed SmartSound Sonicfire Pro 5 on my computer. The installation did not ask if I wanted to install this software and there was no option to not install it. I am the only one who installs applications on my computer so what gives Adobe the right to decide what to install for me. Sonicfire Pro 5 is unwanted by me and it pains me greatly that software was installed on my computer without my consent. Besides it takes up 30GB of disk space. Yes I can uninstall it and I will but it should not have been installed in the first place. I bought Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10 because I was happy with my purchase of Photoshop Elements 6 and Premiere Elements 4 and wanted to have newer versions but now I am very unhappy. I will never buy a Adobe product or suggest Adobe products to anyone ever again. The only thing that would change my mind would be if Adobes next version did not contain any 3rd party software or if it did one should be given a choice during installation as to install it or not and Adobe should give me a free version to replace the one I have. As those two things are unlikely to happen I will continue to never buy any Adobe software or suggest to anyone to buy Adobe products and faithfully watch the stock market as Adobe stocks continue to decline. Guess what I do for a living!

I did not answer you question, because I have no answer. That was why I recommended contacting Adobe. Though, at times, it might not seem like it, but they do listen to their customers. They collect tons of data, and try to prioritize things, based on that input. This is for Feature Requests, or just comments on how one likes, or does not like, the software.
In very general terms, I find Adobe products to be very benign, and especially to many other companies' software.
Over the decades, I only recall a few instances, where something was installed, without my input, at some level. Back about PS CS, there were some NIK Filters that were installed, and a few of them were "trials," which I am not keen on. SmartSound would be another example, except that I would want it, regardless (and probably only complain, if it was missing).
One of the biggest rubs that I had with Pinnacle Studio was that even if one bought their biggest, most expensive package, a ton of Effects and Transitions were loaded as trials. To get all of those, one had to spend about US $400, above the price of the NLE. Not sure if that is still the case, as I switched to AVID Liquid, about they time they bought Pinnacle, and have not seen Pinnacle Studio in many years. When I moved from Liquid, to PrPro, and the CS2 Production Studio, I never looked back at AVID/Pinnacle. Now, CS2 Production Studio came with about 8 programs, and then a ton of "Goodies." I would have loved to have the Goodies as options in the full suite installation. As it was, I had to do the main, muli-program install, and then run installation routines for maybe 30 other plug-ins, add-ons and stand-alones.
No, like you, I refuse to update my iTunes, as so much "other stuff" gets installed, and then I have to clean it out. You are not alone, except that we see SmartSound from different sides. Though I understand your not wanting anything, but the program, I view that as a necessity.
My suggestion to Adobe would be to include that as a separate, user-selectable install, though I have never heard of anyone complaining, unless SmartSound did not work for them.
I understand personal principles, and try to adhere to my own, but before you pass on SmartSound, I beg you to try it out. That will not ameliorate the need for Adobe to let the user decide what is/is not installed, but with a few sessions, you might change your mind about the program, itself.
Do let Adobe know how you feel, and perhaps SmartSound will become an additional installation, like the additional Functional Content.

Why is Adobe installing unwanted and unrequested software with Flash updates?

Flash is just a free utility. I don't want McAfee Security Scan Plus near my PC, now or ever, so why is it installed by default for the too quick, or the ignorant, every time they update Flash. At least make MASSP opt-in rather than the default. There's a word for this behaviour, and it's not complementary. Adobe should not be breaking basic Internet etiquette rules.

If you have Acrobat, rather than the free Adobe Reader, there is no offer of Macafee, so far as I know; you've been scammed.
If you have the free Reader you can turn it off with an option like this:
but if you didn't get that I strongly suspect a scam. There are a lot of fake Reader updates out there and I'd be more worried about the things it didn't mention...

Why wont quicktime install?

i try to install quicktime, but it always has an error. i have cleaned out my temp folder, deleted all of itunes and quicktime, and it still wont install.

I have been trying to install itunes or quicktime to my computer. I am getting error #-2093 Quicktime failed to initialize. I have done everything on the apple web site. I am using a fresh install of Win XP SP2. I have downloaded Java, and adobe reader. Office 2003 is also installed. There or no other programs running. No virus scanners. Nothing. Brand new PC with everything running perfect. I have emptied the temp folder, uninstalled quicktime and itunes, several times. I have emptied the recycle bin. Restarted several times. etc... No matter what I do I get the same error.

Why is Adobe installing McAfee software by stealth?

I cannot understand why Adobe is installing McAfee software by stealth, and infuriating users like myself?
I cannot understand the mindset in a supposedly clever organisation that could imagine that this is OK?
It is fundamentally both deceitful and patronising.

You DO have the option to disable automatic updates. Your post doesn't read as though you don't know how to do that, but it's in the Global Settings under the Advanced tab. The downside is that you have to manually update, but the following links remain the same even though the file is updated with each release:

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
They contain the FULL installer only. Bookmark them and you'll never have to bother with third party software.

Ok after dealing with hackers I had my computer wiped and then added windos7 not adobe wont re activate my account why not

Why wont mavericks install?

Im trying to install Mavericks on my mac book pro 2009 model. Ive downloaded twice and keep getting this error message. This copy of the install OS X Mavericks application is damaged,and cant be used to install OS X. I know my internet connection is fine i did a direct connect to the ethernet port. Pleae Help!!!

Hi,
Recently I have been trying to install Photoshop CS6.
I have opened the 'Set-up' adobe file. Once the green bar finishes it says this:
Installation Failed.
I tryed all of the options but it still didnt install

Why wont Adobe Flash Player download?

I want to play a game on facebook called Miniplanet, but It says I need to upgrade my flash player. I did what it said but there is one thing that didnt pop up, the accunt control box didnt pop up. I was thinking that this might be the problem but Im not sure. Also whenever I go into miniplanet it says I need to upgrade so I think it didnt download.

Why Wont Adobe Give Me My Serial Number

On wednesday I bought CS6 Production Premium, upgrade from CS5, which in turn was an upgrade from CS3. I uninstalled and deactivated CS5 before the new install. While entering my new serial number I was asked for the serial of the qualifying product (CS5). I went to my adobe account and all trace of CS5 is removed as if I had never purchased it. I contacted support and they activated CS6 for me immediately. I then asked for my CS5 serial so that I could install it on another computer but they told me that they cannot give it to me as I have no proof of purchase. I pointed out that they had just activated CS6 as an upgrade from CS5. This to me is beyond bizarre and ridiculous. I do not have proof of purchase from 3 years ago. Adobe knows that I bought it and Adobe removed the details from my account. The online representitive was courteous and helpful and acknowledged that I bought CS5 but could not give me my serial as he was constrained by Adobe's rules.

Why wont PSE9 install?

I purchased my first Adobe package (PSE9) only to be very dissapointed when i inserted disk and NOTHING happened. Support team advised me to get replacement, which i did and i still cannot install. It's as if my desktop doesnt reconize it. The disk is in now, PC running slower & i see an ocasional CD flash by my cusor. I have Vista, with enough space. Suggestions?

It might sound stupid...but please check that by chance you havent inserted PSE Mac DVD on your windows machine.
Next, open your My Computer and see whether you are able to see a PSE 9 icon in the DVD drive, if yes, right click and choose explore button. Are you able to see Photoshop Elements 9 folder now? If yes, go inside and double click on Setup.exe.

Is your Windows 8 install 32 bit or 64 bit? You need the correct installer for your OS.
