About 2 weeks ago, my Yahoo toolbar stopped saving my toolbar preferences (ie apps quick links to sites such as Facebook or Pinterest). I can sign in to Yahoo, change the TB preferences, and as long as I don't log out of FF, they will stay. As soon as I sign out they go back to default settings. After searching the Yahoo forums I see that it's not just me having this issue, but no one in the Yahoo forums can figure out what's happened and of course we get no help or answers what so ever from Yahoo as they have literally cut off email and phone communication. I noticed tonite that it does save them on the Yahoo toolbar in Internet Explorer. I really don't like IE as I have far too many problems there, have always used FF. It sounds like your browser is only configured to store cookies until you close Firefox, at which point they are all deleted. * Where it says 'Firefox will:', choose 'Use custom settings for history'
* Make sure that 'Accept cookies form sites' is checked, and that where it says 'Keep until:', 'they expire' is selected
You may need to restart your browser for the changes to take effect.

Why wont my facebook app update with IOS7

After update to IOS 7 on my Iphone 5 my facebook app will not update at all. I have deleted it many times and restarted my phone and had no luck. Any suggestions?

Has anyone come up with a solution to this yet?? I upgraded to iOS 7, but since then, I have been unable to update the Facebook iOS app from v.5 to v.6.5. When I go into the App store on the web or on my iPhone 5, it says it's already installed, and says I have the 6.5 version. But on my phone under Settings, it says I only have v.5. I have tried deleting the app from my phone and rebooting several times, but I can't break out of v.5. Can you please help me get unstuck so I can put 6.5 on my phone? This problem has existed since I upgraded my phone to iOS 7.
I had someone in Apple tech support trying to find an answer, but he just came back with a big goose-egg on my question, other than suggesting I go to Facebook Help (like that wasn't the very first thing I did long before calling Apple). And of course, Facebook Help is a misnomer.

Google needs to update the Google Toolbar program for Firefox 5.0.
The Google Toolbar 7.1.20110512W version does work pretty good in Firefox 5.0 by using the Compatibility Reporter extension. But not every feature works 100%.

I have my Canon XH A1 connected to my Mac OS X computer. I am using Final Cut Pro to download the footage onto my Mac. The capture settings are set to HDV capture but it wont download properly.
The computer downloads the first 20 seconds of footage then stops. The tape in the camera continues to roll to the end and then gives me the 'End of tape' window- but nothing has been downloading past the initial 20 seconds.
Usually when HD footage is downloaded Final Cut creates many little clips. (Unlike normal DV which creates one big file). For some reason this isn't happening after the first 20 seconds.
Then, even though I have already created a named folder for the footage to be saved into, the computer asks me to save it as an untitled project somewhere else.
What is going on?
My download settings for HDV log and capture are:
Sequence Present: Apple ProRes 422 1440x1080 50i 48 kHz
Capture Present: HDV
Device Control Present: HDV FireWire Basic
Playback Output Video: Digital Cinema Desktop Preview-Main

Do you have an external firewire drive connected? Canon equipment is unreliable capturing via firewire to a firewire drive, or even when capturing to a non-firewire drive when there are other devices present on the firewire bus.

are you using imessage and not just sms? use your apple id to sign in on messages on your phone (settings)

Why wont apple let you disable or unregister from gamecenter?! Iv done everything I can but games log into it reactivated its notifications aswell. It auto logs me back in...I want apple to let you unregister completely why not?? I have disabled all notifications from Gamecenter romoved all games listed, i deleted my email adress registered, i changed my user name...and loged out but games reactivate it, I also noticed it still keeps a record of your previous score and when reactivated relists all games on your handset again aswell.

I feel the same way -- I would REALLY like to remove this misbegotten piece of junk completely. I would SETTLE for being able to disable it -- although there are instructions for "disabling" it, it doesn't STAY disabled. I have followed the instructions, removed my email address (although it still uses my email address as the login and won't allow me to ACTUALLY remove it), made my profile private, then signed out... And the next time the device is powered back on, the account is logged in again and insisting on trying to connect to every game I play. So I deny access, "disable" it, sign out, etc, again... ad infinitum, ad nauseum.
When the rest of my family switched to android, I stubbornly stayed with my beloved iOS devices and my Macs, but this annoyance -- which WILL NOT go away -- almost makes me think I should reconsider. I HATE Game Center, and want it off my devices.

You can only locate, lock or erase your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.

Same here. All started when trying to place an order with Play.com after installing Mountain Lion; could not get past the checkout page; tried Facebook, same problem would not allow log in couldn't find server message again. Opened up Firefox; no problem on Facebook or Play.com. After placing order on Play.com I reopened Safari and it showed the Play.com log in page and Facebook also opened up. During this time my mouse had to be re set up too. Hopefully all these issues will settle down. One bonus for me is that I can now play my videos from my Panasonic camera on Mountain Lion something which I couldn't do on Lion.
