Why wont my I-pod sync when i plug it in to my computer?

when i plug my I-Pod in to my desk-top computer it says " this I-Pod can not be used because the apple moble devise service is not started " what do i do please help!!! (its an i-touch 4)

- Try another cable
- Try another charging source
- Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, cracked or broken plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store.

Do one or more of the following:
> Restart your PC/Mac OS
> Uninstall and Reinstall iTunes
> Reset your iDevice
> Get Lastest iOS Update (depends on what generation)
If you haven't check.... go to where you can see your hard drives (the place where you can access any USB flash drives, disc drives, hard drives.....) and see if your iDevice will show..... If it does..... go to iTunes
If you have iTunes 10.7..... look at your left hand side (the side bar).....
If you have iTunes 11..... look at the top right hand corner.....
BTW..... im not a Mac user so I'm not sure if any of this helps.... I'm a Windows person.....

I can't get my phone to sync with itunes. When I plug it in it goes directly to iphoto and after I close out of iphoto I open itunes and it doesn't display and or sync. Please help me be able to sync my phone.

I recieved an IPAD for my birthday, and my daughter updated my itunes library so i can use it with the ipad...and somehow all my songs (unpurchased from itunes, and downloaded from a large collection of CDs) ...and play lists were deleted. I still have them on my old ipod, and wonder how to get them back onto my computer so I can redistribute some of them to the ipad. There should be an option (on the left hand side of your iTunes) for your iPod. Then when you click on it you will just need to setup and there will be an option to sync at the bottom right hand corner

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer

Disconnect it fron your Computer and try this...
You will Not Lose Any Data...
Turn the Phone Off...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
Turn the Phone On...

Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
Before you reinstall the Apple software, also remove iCloud vi Control Panel Remove programs. The reinstall the Apple programs
