why wont my ipad connect to wifi ???

You just aren't suppling us with enough information.  Are you trying to connect to the WiFi at home or at work?  Will other WiFi devices connect successfully with that WiFi access-point?  Is your WiFi access point showing up on the list of available access points when you're trying to connect to it from the iPad, or are you being forced to manually enter it in?  We really need more info about your specific situation before we can help.
    Thanks,

Why wont my iPad connect to the closest/strongest wifi at home? It alway defaults to the one upstairs even when I am right next to our extender in the kitchen?

    Try #5.
    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Try #2 and #3 in link below. If neither work, you most likely have a hardware issue--like a bad radio.

  • Sically close to the router. This is a new problem as previously it picked up wifi from anywhere in the house and garden. My wife and daughters IPads pick up wifi from anywhere in the house and garden.

My IPad 2 has suddenly been unable to connect to wifi unless it is physically close to the router. Previously it picked up wifi anywhere in the house or garden.but now, for example,  I lose the signal if I go to the top floor of the house. My wife and daughters'  IPads do not have this problem and can get wifi throughout the house and garden.

    Reset network settings:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
If that doesn't work you could try a complete reset of the iPad, so back it up using iTunes first.

  • Have iPad 2 and also iPad. Why does old iPad get stronger wifi signal?

Why does  my new iPad 2 have a low wifi signal, while sitting next to first iPad that has strong wifi signals?  All settings are the same.

    Reclusive36 wrote:
I don't think its any stronger or weeker I jus think the iPad 2's WiFi meter seems to be more accurate.
That's unlikely since the iOS and hardware in this area should be identical.
If you are having reception problems take your iPad2 to an Apple store for some testing.

  • Why wont cc connect to my wifi?

    Hi.
Why wont Creative Cloud connect to my wifi? I have great internet on my computer, but it wont connect.
    - Andrine

It comes up an warning triangle and under it it stands "Error downloading" and under that again it says "Can not contact adobe servers. Control network access and firewall settings and try again" and in the bottom its a red line with "No internet connection" on it.
I have full internet connection, so why does this keep coming up?
    And I'm using Windows 7.

It's probably due to the RAM and processor limitations.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Why can my iPad pick up my home wifi but my iTouch cannot?

I recently purchased a new iPod touch and it will not recognize the wifi network in my home.  I currently have two wifi networks running, one of which is faulty, and one of which runs fine.  My computer and iPad are hooked up to the working, but my iTouch will not even recognize it.  It can pick up the faulty network, but the connection is obviously very poor.  I initially though there was a problem with the ipod hardware, so exchanged it for a new one. This did not resolve the issue.  Are there too many devices on our strong signal?  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The iPad supports the 5 GHz N band in addition to the 2.5 GHz B, G and N bandswhile the iPod only supports the 2.4 GHz B, G and N bands. That could be your problem.

However I tried connecting my Mobile phone, fathers mobile phone and my iPod through bluetooth and it just does not work.
You would think Apple to Apple would connect easy, I just wonder why on earth Apple has bluetooth to begin with if it wont connect.
Bluetooth does not support IOS device to IOS device connectivity.  It's intended to connect IOS devices to such things as wireless headphones, external keyboards and Apple TV, and probably a few more things that I can't think of right now.
