Why wont my iphone connect to itunes

nothing comes up on my screen when i plug in my iPhone. I can't sync or do anything on it. help!

Hi sabrin_mcc,
Welcome to the Support Communities!
The article below should help you with this:
iPod not recognized in My Computer and in iTunes for Windows
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1369
Usually the resolution is updating the Apple Mobile Device Driver.  See the section labeled Verify that the USB Drivers are installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.
If this does not resolve the issue, you may need to remove iTunes and all of its components as outlined in this article:
Issues installing iTunes or QuickTime for Windows

I hope this information helps ....

iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Mac OS X
    or
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    - I would start with
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
    or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Featurs appin the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
    - New cable and different USB port
    - Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

  • Why wont my computer connect to iTunes?

I just bought a new laptop running Windows 7 64-bit with adequete enough power to fufill the iTunes system requirements. I am connected to a wireless network and I have installed the latest version of iTunes from the Apple website. When I try to connect to the iTunes store, the progress bar at the top of the application is ribboned with moving gray marks and the caption reads "Accessing iTunes Store". This process runs indefinitely, and even why I try to sign into my account, the computer cannot connect. I have other computers on the same account with the same operating system on the same wireless network running iTunes and connecting the iTunes store. What is wrong?

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

  • Why wont my phone connect to itunes?

I have updated my phone and Itunes, and now it wont connect to the computer or itunes to charge? any one know how to fix it?

Has the iPhone ever worked with your computer?
For the charging issue, take a look at this Apple doc -> iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
Battery does not charge from the USB power adapter
Important:  Only original iPhone can be charged from a FireWire-based power source. If iPhone is connected to a computer that's turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the battery may drain.
Verify that the outlet being used is working.
Try another USB power adapter if available.
If no other USB power adapter  is available, try connecting to a high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode.
Try another USB cable if available.
Also refer to iPhone and iPod touch: Charging the battery.
If that doesn't also take care of the iPhone not being recognized problem, one of these Apple docs should help ya out:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Mac OS X
