I just got my iphone 4s yesterday. The guy at verizon tried to help me set up my gmail but I keep getting the message: the user name or password for imap.gmail.com is incorrect. However, they are not incorrect. Please help!

If you have 2 step authentication turned on for Gmail, there are extra steps you have to take for it to work on a mobile device. Check the help pages on mail.google.com for instructions.

Why wont my iphone charge from my computer after ios 7.1 update?

I have a windows 8.1 PC. I use it for work. I also have an iphone. Today, I updated the ios on my phone to 7.1. During the update, the phone was connected to my PC usb port with the apple charging cable to keep it charged. The update finished, and I noticed that the battery was at 66%. It was 100% before I started the update. There was no lighting bolt/charging symbol. I disconnected the phone from the computer. I plugged it into the apple wall charger. It charges from that. I tried another apple cable on the PC. Still no dice. I do get the sound from the PC that a device is being connected/disconnected when I plug/un-plug the cable from the phone on the PC. When the phone is connected to the PC, It won't show on "this PC" as any device. I did try re-starting the PC. I did update Itunes, and did a back up of my phone before the update, using the exact same cable.

My computer, windows xp with service pack 3, wont accept or see my 3gs iphone as USB 2.0 device. I have gone all the routes spouted by every other site saying their idea will fix it, but it doesn't. Its not because another 1.1 usb device is plugged into the bus, its not the firmware, usb driver needing an update and/or updating the BIOS. I have reverted to the old and standard version of the USB driver. I have restarted the computer after trying every option above. All other 2.0 devices are recognized and work as usb 2.0 except the iphone. I've tried usb legacy support in bios as enabled, auto, and off. My laptop however does see the iphone as usb 2.0. I have even cleaned out the cable connector on the iphone and headphone jack. Every other support site including http://www.usbman.com
and microsoft have offered up the same inoperative solutions above. I even recently reformatted this computer. Please help with something new.

Recently, my iPhone 4 wont sync any new playlists. When I tick the box for the playlist I want to sync, the data boxes move and the song count increases, but when I click sync, it does nothing and the playlist isn't visible on the iPhone.
So far, I've completely wiped the iPhone (doing a full restore) and tried to sync from scratch, but it seems only to be syncing the ones I had on already before I wiped it, which is very odd. Any ideas anyone?

im really having a horrible time strating to sync my new 4s up to vista, i have reinstalled and gone through the process that was given to me by itunes and they finally suggested replacing the phone. Once i hooked it up to windows 7 no prob but both computers with vista it still will not recognize my new phone in itunes. Any suggestions! There has to be an easy fix, but running out of options. any advice.

Make sure the Vista machines are up to date with their....... erm...... updates and make sure also that they have the latest .NET frameworks installed (these usually come down with the updates but are optional and could have been turned off).
If you have previously had an iPhone of another description plugged into these machines plug your 4S into it and go to device manager under 'Portable Devices' you should find the iPhone. Right click it and choose 'Update Driver Software..' Then choose the 'Search automatically for updated driver software'
That should do the trick

Have you updated the Apple software on the Windows side?
If you inserted the MacOS installer disk after you initially installed Windows for the Apple drivers then you might try inserting the MacOS installer disk again while booted into Windows and navigate to "repair drivers" and then update them again when done.
