Why wont my iPod 4G camera function properly, and how do I fix it?

So, my older sister used to own this iPod 4G but then broke the screen on it, so she got a new iPod 5th generation instead, while my dad replaced the screen on the iPod 4G and gave it to me. Now, ever since the new screen was installed, both cameras would have horrifying quality or wouldn't work at all, because they're always flashing colors like blue, purple, and green, while the front camera might show almost everything in red. At first I thought it was because my sister dropped it on the concrete, but she acctually took a picture after it fell and everything was fine. I wanted to know if a wire might be loose, if it's just something wrong with the cameras themselves, or if my dad might've done something, and how can I fix it. I've already got two new camera that I might try to replace the old ones with, but first I need another oppinion wether or not its worth the risk of having no camera at all.

It is hit or miss whether replacing the cameras will resolve the problem. I would first try taking it apart and then carefully disconnecting and reconnecting the camera cables.
Since it both cameras it is likely not a problem with the logic board but still could be.
