Why wont my library transfer?

Hi,
I'm trying to transfer my library from my iPhone onto my new laptop as some songs are not on my laptop..although i dont know why as i copied all my itunes library from my other laptop. Its annoying as i know cant sync my phone with my new laptop. Please help as I have tried so many things to sort it out.

You can only sync with one iTunes library/computer. Have yo previously synced with another library/computer?

Most people who have problems with Home Sharing on a PC find that it has to do with firewall settings. Try turning off the firewall on the PC and see if that immediately solves the problem. To transfer your purchases from your iPhone to a computer, that is not authorized or sync previously, you will require a third party software such as podjammer or sharepod.

Why wont my purchases transfer?

I just bought an iphone 4. Unfortunately, my pc has recently bit the dust (shocker). I'm now using by fiancee's pc to sync my phone but my purchased music will not transfer to her itunes. The phone is recognized in itunes. When I try to transfer purchases, it acts as if its about to sync for a couple seconds then it quites unexplicably. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why wont my videos transfer to my iPod?

Why won't my video clips transfer to my iPod?
They are in iTunes, and play just fine in there, but then when I try to transfer them to my iPod, an error message comes up saying:
The video was not transfered to __'s iPod, because the file could not be played on it.
Is there something wrong with the iPod itself?
or is there something wrong with my files?
Are there only specific file types that will transfer to it?
I couldn't find anything in the literature that came with it.
Please help. I need an answer quickly, if possible.

I'm a bit confused by your question.
You say you have synced with your iMac, and that you have match turned on. If match is turned on you can't sync music any more.
Are the purchases new, or old ones?
Can you confirm that match is turned on on both the iMac and the iPhone.

i have the apple tv2. I was working ok,with no problems but now will not see my library. I have all my films music etc.. on a extl hard drive and my itunes is set to that file.
its wireless connected via my Bt home hub
I have tried restore , i have moved it to a new location . as i said i can get youtube and go to the itunes store but will not see my media files .
tried unplugging router, unplugged the apple tv, no success.

This has been happening to me lately too. The workaround I've been doing is quitting iTunes and reopening it. After that, my AppleTV finds it right away. Unfortunately, it's a temporary solution because it's happening every time I want to watch anything.

Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

Not updating the iOS should not effect your problem.
As long as all the apps are in the iTunes library, you will not lose app data by updating the iOS.

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what happens when you click on the Edit button at the bottom of the iPhoto window?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?
A universal fix for some issues is the following:
1 - reboot.
2 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
3 - delete the contents the following folder: User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
4 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks and Yosemite, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.
