are you using the keyboard or through the cursor?
If its from the keyboard, the volume up tile may be stucked from excess dust or small particles. If you bought an instore warrantly, check if dust cleaning is covered, if not its best to get it dusted as it will boost performance and keyboard functionality

Why is the volume changer button up so high on the new apple headphones?

On the newest Apple Headphones, I was wondering why the headphones volume changer button so high. It is difficult to try to change the volume when listening to music because i cant see the volume changer button.

thanks for the reply. You prompted me to check and I realised it wasn't installed on my test laptop and opening in Microsoft Reader. I've installed it now and it works.
My next challenge is to prevent the mailto: command opening Microsoft Mail instead of Outlook, but I guess every user will have a different default.

Help! my ipod wont do anything. It wont charge, turn on, the apple icon wont appear, it won't go into reset mode or dfu mode. Itunes wont recognize it, no buttons work. It did this suddenly with no warning. What do i do? :(

My photo button works fine, but when I press the video button, nothing happens.

Try closing the Camera app completely and see if you can record video when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Camera 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Camera app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

In Firefox 3.6.17,why don't the tab buttons work?

I've tried left and right click to gain access to new tab, but they do not work. I know they work in a later version, 4, but with version 4 I experience a lot of "freezing up".

I didn't have the plain Ask toolbar, as I have refused it whenever it was offered. However, I updated Foxit reader yesterday, and noticed it was included, but couldn't see any way to not install it with the upgrade. So when my New Tab button didn't work, and I read here that Ask was probably the problem, I went and found the Foxit Toolbar and got rid of it. That worked a treat, and my button works again. Why doesn't the 'Reanalyze' button work?

After accidentally syncing both the Upright Mode and the Upright Transforms (instead of just the mode) from 1 photo to approximately 200 other photos, I noticed something quite strange.
When selecting the 'Auto' upright mode on any of the other pictures, the transformation was done using data from the original photo.
When realising that I'd synced that transformation data across to a load of photos that it didn't apply to, I tried pressing the 'Reanalyze' button. This seems to have no effect - the images are still incorrectly transformed.
The only solution was to manually reset every synced photo to its imported state (although I suppose I could have undone the sync operation, but I only realised this after doing other changes). After doing this, the transformations work correctly.
Perhaps I have misunderstood what the button does, but if I have, then I can't see how you are meant to resolve this problem

I just recently exchanged my iphone for a brand new one, because the "home" button didn't work, unless I pressed a thousand times. So the Apple store exchanged it for me, took it home, updated it, and its doing the same thing!!! Can ANYONE help me on this? Im about to throw this thing of the Zakim Bridge!!!!

I have been having the same issue with my home button for the last few weeks, and it's only getting worse. When you went to the Apple store, did they say what was causing it? I don't have the extemded warrenty on mine, I never bought one. Not sure if they'll be able to help me with mine or not. But I came on here and was going to complain about the same issue, then I saw yours. I googled it and it seems like it's becoming a common issue, but everyone seems to have a different opinion of why and how to fix it. ANNOYING.

It looks like you have a hardware issue. I don't know why the button doesn't pop up, but You can enable assistive touch. Assistive touch gives you a virtual lock button, so that will solve you problem. You can enable it by going to Settings->General->Accessibillity->AssistiveTouch->On.

Why doesn't my bottom button work sometimes

Sometimes it acts like its locked up and the bottom button won't work....

I'm not exactly sure what could be causing this to occur, but this "fix" seems to have helped other users with a similar home button issue.
From the home screen, double tap the home button to bring up the task bar with the recent apps in it. Tap and hold down on one of the app icons until they all begin to wiggle. Tap the minus signs in the corner of all of the apps to close them. Then tap the screen above the task bar. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears, then slide to shut down. Press and hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears, to start up.
You can also try an old standby -reset the iPad. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. See if that helps.

Try the following.
First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Desktop.
Flash Player Uninstaller.
When the download has completed, close all browser windows and run the uninstaller. After this has completed, restart the notebook.
Next, download and install Firefox and then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash. Note: You may want to deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading.
Close all browser windows before running the Flash installer.
Launch Firefox and see if videos etc play Ok in this browser - if they do, close Firefox, open Internet Explorer and click on the same Adobe Flash link above to get a prompt to install the ActiveX component. When done, restart Internet Explorer.
