Why wont the button on my trak pall set to close/exit programs close/exit Firefox 7.0.1?
I have a Microsoft track ball the 5 customizable buttons.
The the regular right and left buttons are the default right and left click.
The outer left button is programed to do the "Enter" function.
The wheel button is programmed to do the "Back" action.
The outer right button is programed to "Close/Exit" programs. I have this one set up this was because I do not like tabbed browsing and it makes it easy to close multiple browser windows.
I just installed 7.0.1, and now the ONLY program that will not close on my system when I press the outer right button is Firefox.
Can you explain why this is happening?
Firefox 8 will be released in a few days, that I believe includes fixes for the connections number on Windows, and a problem related to the bookmarks database.

Another suggestion, not as a workaround, but as a means of demonstrating part of the cause is to use the error console to log CC & GC collections. The procedure for changing the preference is as above.

No need to leave that on for long, just look for collections exceeding a second i.e. >1000ms if you see that you have a problem.

With the amount of information you've provided it's impossible to offer a solution. We can't see your computer so we need to know the details of your problem and setup, i.e.:
what version of iPhoto are you using?
what system version are you running?
what happens when you click on the Edit button at the bottom of the iPhoto window?
what fixes have you tried?
where is your library located?
did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
what type of Mac?
how much free space on your boot drive?
A universal fix for some issues is the following:
1 - reboot.
2 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
3 - delete the contents the following folder: User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
4 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks and Yosemite, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:

I had my photo stream on and my icloud all set up, i just had the screen replaced and they somehow lost all the photos off my phone, but why wont the photo's reload back on to my iphone now that im connected to wifi again, where are all my photos???
When photos are added to the photo stream album on a device (either due to a new photo having been taken or having been synced from another device using the stream) they remain in the album. However, the syncing process involves copying the photos to the photo stream server where they are kept for a maximum of 30 days, up to 1000 photos. If a device is reset or the stream is turned off or turned back on again (or in your case, the device was repaired), the photos that were on the device's photo stream album are gone and the only ones to appear are those that are currently on the servers (recall the 30 day limit).
If some of your photos are older than 30 days, then they are no longer stored on the cloud and hence are not synced down to the iphone.
Recall, photo stream is just a syncing service, it is not designed as a storage service for photos. Always sync photos to a computer for archiving. -

If it's not that - then my wild Guess is that the iMovie Pref file got corrupted.
• TEST - Easy by creating a new User Account / Log into this / re-try iMovie - if it now works then I would trash the pref. file

It works fine without the "intro"In AS1/2 (unlike AS3) the arguments are ordered as (scene, frame), but if you specify only 1 it is treated as a frame identifier. So you would be correct using gotoAndPlay("intro", 1);
You should get that code off of the button and place it in the timeline - placing code on objects is a bad practice. To do this, assign the button an instance (like maybe "btn") and code it in the timeline as follows...
btn.onRelease = function(){
gotoAndPlay("intro", 1);
Lastly, the use of scenes is better off avoided. I never used them in my own work and have only encountered them in inherited designs. While they might work well with uncoded animation work, when you start mixing navigation coding with them things can become unpredictable and they can fail seemingly without cause. You are better off just using the one scene and dividing it into sections and/or having your sections as movieclips. -
When I go to the local paper's from Elmira,NY and some other sites I get a drop down banner at the top of the page that tell me Firefox has prevented this page from reloading,but when I go to the allow button that you put on the right side of the banner and click on it the banner goes away and then it comes right back. It will come back every time you click allow until I click on the x box. So I want to know why is the allow button there if it does nothing?
Click the Firefox button, go to Options | Options | Advanced and in the General tab, remove the checkmark from "'''Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page'''".
