Why would a vtext from gmail show up on ipad?

I used verizon's vtext today, and I sent a message to an iphone 4(S?) from gmail and it came across my old, factory rest, ipad that someone else has in a different town. The ipad does have computer access on occasion when visiting with the holder of the iphone. I am concerned about privacy and security issues and a little embarrassed!

Camera Roll photos from an iPhone backup will not be transferred to an iPad. iPhone to iPhone will transfer the Camera Roll, but iPhone to iPad, or iPad to iPhone will not transfer the Camera Roll.

Why don't aplications from iphone show up in itunes library?

Just synced my iphone for first time with my brand new iMac. No problems--everything transferred fine, EXCEPT I noticed that none of my iphone applications show up in my itunes library and they did on my old PC. When I click on the applications tab when my iphone is connected, it says that if I do the sync it will replace the applications on my iphone with ones from my itunes library (aka NONE). So, I hit cancel and decided to ask you guys.
How do all the applications currently on my iphone make their way in to my itunes library? I have not yet authorized this new iMac----is that part of the problem?

Why would my spot colors not show up under my separations preview?

I just sent a job back to press that has 2 spot colors. I let the rip do the separations and I got 3 plates. Black and my 2 spot colors. There is no black that I'm aware of in the document but when I previewed it at the rip, it showed stuff on the black plate.
So, back at the computer, I checked my elements and they look like they are colored correctly so I was going to do a separations preview in ID. Neither of my spot colors are showing up in there. Any thoughts?

Perhaps add the swatch icon to the sep preview, and use a combo icon, the process sq with the spot circle in the middle. But the swatch would out of necessity be unselectable and grayed, so perhaps that would be sufficent. And then there would be the problem of using with more than 10 spots (not unusual for me, BTW), when the preview would be all grayed.
It would be a great idea to have the indication.
Rats, if I hadn't had such a busy day I could of nipped Bob on this one, which I had figured before I finished the first post (six hours late!). I do a of of packaging with eight spots (we're going to start using a ten unit press soon, that should be fun), and perhaps it helped that I use the ink manager frequently just for this, because a job with eight printing spots could also have another three or four spots related to substrate and construction details, so I keep those converted to process until it's time to send off the printer's file.

Why would iSight "disconnect" from the computer during iMovie recording?

I was just in the middle of recording a song, got to around 7 minutes when all of a sudden the iMovie recording panel went to blank with a big red sign saying "NO CAMERA CONNECTED". When I went back to the little drop down menu to record and selected "iSight built in" it allowed me to record again.
What could cause this? I am running very low on disk space ATM, somewhere in the region of 200MB left until I transfer all my recordings from today onto my external, could that have something to do with it? Maybe not enough virtual memory space left to run the camera?
Although in fairness I have 2GB of RAM and nothing else is running except one window in Safari (with only text) and a youtube window in Firefox...
Anyone know? And is there any way to prevent this from happening? I assumed since iSight is built in it couldn't "disconnect" from the machine, and in the middle of filming? Seems very odd...

Why would I go from an unlimited data to a more everything plan

I have a grandfathered Unlimited data plan and would like to update my device. I have no use for a MORE everything plan since I only have 1 device and no need to share data with anything else. I thought it was possible to get a 6gb max plan with the same cost as the unlimited data plan.

If you mean you don't want to go to the plan when you upgrade on a subsidized phone? Cannot be done.
You must pay full price to keep unlimited data. You cannot have it both ways.

Why would mac disconnect from a wireless printer used for years?

The printer used is a Brother, and the reports show that the WLAN is ok and the network configuration is all set up. restarted printer and computer. Deleted printer and tried to add it again and Mac won't do anything. connection with the printer is lost.

I'm not sure about the cause of your problem and I'm no expert, but since you only seem to have trouble when you awake the mini, let me give you a few ideas...
On the D-Link Home/DHCP: what is the lease time of the DHCP server? If it is short, try setting to 1 week. Maybe your lease expires while your mini is in sleep mode and then your mini can't get a new IP since it is already "connected"?
On the D-Link Advanced/Performance: what Preamble Type is selected? Short Preamble has given me trouble in the past, so try changing it to Long Preamble, which seems to work better with Macs.
My Mini is connected to a D-Link DI-624 and it has always worked like a charm, but I don't put my computer to sleep for long periods of time (couple hours at most), so I never experienced that problem.

Why isn't my uploaded music showing on my iPad?

Sorry, but I am a novice when it comes to this stuff.
First, my 'home' for my iTunes is my all-in-one PC at home. Have uploaded probably 150 CD's properly into iTunes. Those are properly showing up on my home computer. No issues there.
Second, so far I have downloaded probably 35 individual songs from iTunes. Those also are properly showing up on my home computer. No issues there.
From there, I also have an iPad. I have downloaded iTunes onto the iPad, and I know I have the most recent update to iTunes. I followed steps for Home Sharing, but when I open my music on the iPad's ITunes, the only music showing up are the 35 individual songs that I have downloaded. Nowhere can I locate the 150 CD's I properly uploaded into my iTunes account.
What am I doing wrong here? How can I get the 150 CD's to show up on my iPad? Do I need to do more than just Home Sharing, like iCloud?
I am obviously stuck.

TS3999 my icloud calendar from gmail syncs with my ipad and gmail but won't sync on icloud on my pc

My ipad mini and my gmail contacts are syncing but if I go to icloud.com not of my calendar events are listed. In the upper left corner it just says CALENDAR. My ipad mini is set up to sync with my gmail account and that seems to be working. I tested entering a new event on my ipad and it synced to my gmail calendar but won't sync to icloud.com apple account.

This was driving me crazy. Sync between Outlook 2007 and my iphone was working perfectly on ios 6 - I primarily sync Calendar, contacts, and notes.
Then everything went bizerk with ios 7... All of a sudden nothing was getting syncronized, but rather multiple Calendars and Contacts showed up in Outlook 2007. Disabling Calendar, contacts, and Notes in my iphone's icloud settings did the trick. Now I have ONE Calendar and ONE contact list in Outlook, fully in sync with my iphone.

As I understand it, if your iPad is wi-fi only, you will only see text messages sent from other Apple devices. Others sent through cellular service will only be seen on a cellular device, i.e. the iPhone.

Why can't I select just one album under artist view and listen to it from beginning to end anymore? Why would you change that?

Why can't I go under artist view in music app, select 1 of multiple albums by a specific artist and play the whole album from beginning to end? Why would you have it automatically shuffle between songs from several albums by the same artist automatically? How do we change this back to previous function because this is sucking big time for a music lover.

I agree this is a really dumb change and I really hope Apple changes it back to the way it was.
In iOS 6 and earlier when you were in the Music player and selected ARTIST it would show a list sorted by artist. When you selected the artist you wanted, it would show a list of their albums. Then you could select the album and see the list of songs. In iOS 7 after you select Artist, it displays the album and every track, so you have to scroll down through not only the album but every track on that album. That was a really stupid change on Apple's part. Makes no sense.

In iOS 7.0 you have to scroll down through all the songs to see the other albums. That can be a really pain if you have a large music collection.
Please Apple change it back to the way it was!! This didn't need to change!

Check your account's purchase history : See your purchase history in the iTunes Store - Apple Support
If nothing shows then try logging out and back into your account on the computer/device that you are using.
Neither updating your account id and/or password, nor deauthorising your account, nor deleting content from a device or computer's iTunes library will affect your balance

Relax, they weren't converted to PDF.
You can tell by right clicking ANY of them and choosing "Properties". You'll see there that they're STILL .xls or .xlsx files. The "association" has changed and Windows now indicates that they open with Reader, which isn't right.
Where it says "Open With" under the General tab, you can click "Change" and re-select Excel as the default app to open thim.

Why would this happen and how can I get it resolved? I have since tried to remove and reinstall the iCloud application in my computer's control panel. I have verified that I am using the latest Apple operating system and the latest iTunes. I have reset my photo stream. Not sure what else to try... I was also having an issue with my calendar where it would sync from my computer to my iPhone but not vice versa. Somehow in all the resetting that's resolved, but the photo issue is not. Again - photos are going into the photostream, but not wirelessly being put into the file on my computer.

To change the iCloud ID on your device you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone when prompted, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.
