Why would my Mail go blank-screen on my iPad2?

In trying to send an email with 2 - 2mb photo files, my Mail screen went blank and I cannot get my Mail on my iPad2 to work again?

I suggest quitting the Mail app like I describe then reset your iPad. Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. The reset the iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

Why is my itunes a blank screen when i press the itunes app

    Hi Mikhailwong,
When troubleshooting iTunes Store connection issues, the following articles provide the best information:
First, try signing out of your account in Settings > iTunes & App Store. Once signed out, go ahead and sign back in.
iOS: Changing the signed-in iTunes Store Apple ID account
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1311
If the above did not resolve your issue, refer to the following:
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1368
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
    - Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking on Check for Update in your device's Summary page in iTunes.
    - Check and verify that you are in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you are on a 3G capable device, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
    - Check to make sure you have an active internet connection. You can check the User Guide for your device for help with connecting to the internet.
    - Check to make sure other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the internet.
    - Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router
    - If the issue still persists see, iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connectionsor iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • IPad (classic) + yahoo mail + safari = blank screen madness

    Hello,
Apologies if this has been asked and answered. I found no comparable thread.
Accessing yahoo mail via safari. Intermittently, and now quote often, I see only a blank screen after long in.
Tried resetting, and resetting network. Tried also clearing cache and cookies. No luck.
I put same q to yahoo.
    Grateful for ideas.

No replays. I noticed I can't open news links on the main Yahoo page, either.
My work-around has been to download the Atomic Web browser. It works very well and doesn't have the problems in Yahoo currently experienced with Safari.

  • Why do I get a blank screen when I log in to ExportPDF?

When I access Export PDF through this link, I get a blank screen with only the option to cancel.  Is there another link I should be using?  https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf

    Hi export pdf,
That is indeed the correct link. Please clear your browser cache and try again. Or, try a dfferent web browser (see System requirements | Acrobat.com for a list of compatible web browsers.)

  • IPhone apple mail stopped. blank screen ideas?

I use Apple Mail on my iPhone, collecting mail from other accounts.
I have a blocked screen - simply blank and I can't move anywhere.
I've tried removing what I believe was the offending account but that had no effect.
Apart from going back to factory settings has anyone any idea what I might do?

Went to cPanel and changed the password. Changed Apple mail password setting and all works fine.
So how / why can a valid working password suddenly become invalid and not working? Literally receiving and sending emails one minute and the next it stops working. mystery.

  • Mail showing blank screen after iOS 8.2 upgrade

after upgading to iOS 8.2 today, my mail is showing what seems to be a blank gmail screen, then goes dark, then transparent. Not able to get any email.  Tried deleting gmail account,  still getting same screen.

    Hey Markwoody,
Wow! That definitely sounds frustrating, but good job so far isolating and troubleshooting the issue. We have a few more steps that we can try in an attempt to resolve this issue:
First, it sounds like you have tried restarting your phone. Let’s try a reset instead:
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
    https://support.apple.com/en-us/ht201559
    How to reset
    - You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
    - To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
If the issue persists, we’ll want to restore your device to factory settings and test once more. You can backup your device, but be sure to restore it as new first for isolation purposes, as restoring a backup can sometimes restore the same issues that you were experiencing before.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201252
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • Ipad2 Mail has blank screen

I have had no problems with my iPad2 until the recent IOS8 downloads.
My Mail has disappeared completely this evening (the screen is blank as per the photo) but still but the home screen tells me there is mail. I have quit the app, it still didn't work. I restarted the iPad, it still didn't work. I did a hard reset, guess what. I did a factory reset, guess what. It's backed up to iCloud and my pc.
Can anyone advise me please on what to do next? Thank you.

What type of mail account is this (POP, IMAP, .Mac)?
Does this account allow web access? Have you checked whether the messages are still on the server?
I was helping a friend with a mail problem on her laptop
    Which problem?
There is no inbox in the copy of the mail folder she made.
Which Mail folder did she copy? The one in /Library/ or the one in ~/Library/?
I found the cached messages folder
Not sure what you mean here either. What exactly did you find where?
    More info, please.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library.

  • Why would this appear on my screen? This computer's local hostname "Lloyds-iMac-4.local" is already in use on this network. The name has been changed to "Lloyds-iMac-5.local".

This popped up on my screen.  No idea why. Have i been hacked?

There are several possible causes for this behavior.
    1. Two (or more) computers on the local network have the same Bonjour name, such as "X's-MacBook-Pro.local". Resolve the name conflict by renaming one or more of them in the Sharing preference pane.
    2. You have two simultaneous connections to the same local network: probably Ethernet and Wi-Fi. If applicable, disconnect the Ethernet cable or turn off Wi-Fi.
    3. A Mac wakes from sleep due to network traffic. This is a bug in OS X that may only affect some models.
    4. A device that gets its network address from the router wakes from sleep, and the address it was using before has been assigned to another device.
    5. A third-party wireless router has incompatible settings or firmware. In that case, refer to the manufacturer or ISP for support. Restarting the router may help, temporarily.

  • Why am i getting a blank screen?

About 3 of every 5 times i pull my iPod out of my pocket, the screen is just a blank white. So i reset it and i see that a have less than 20% battery life left. Whenever i plug it into my computer to see what it says to do, both iTunes and my iPod tell me to restore it. When i spend about one hour doing that, it still happens. What do i do?

I was starting to think I was the only one... had exactly the same syndrome. apple care told me it must be a hardware problem and to return it for replacement, which i did. so far so good...

  • KT4V: Flashed BIOS. Computer boots but w/blank screen

I flashed my BIOS to v1.9, and then the computer worked for about a day. I should note that during this day, the computer gave me the same problems it does now (bad CMOS settings, blank screen the whole way through) between boots. Maybe every third boot attempt was successful.
When I DID get into Windows, Windows told me it found a serious issue with my video driver (i think it was the driver it had a problem with) and directed me to Nvidia's site. It was at the point after when I downloaded the new drivers and restarted my system that it never turned on again (with one exception). Then the computer would give me a blank screen. As in monitor not getting a signal and flashing the green light as if it's not even plugged into the computer.
By experimentally pushing every key on the keyboard, I found that pressing F2 gets the computer to boot into Windows (I heard the Windows startup chimes and all, but still a blank screen).
Since the problem, I've had one successful boot out of hundreds of attempts (under same conditions, suprisingly), and have seen what it gets to:
The option to enter Setup by pressing F1 or setting default CMOS settings by pressing F2.
This explains why F2 worked. But why is it that it keeps telling me CMOS settings are bad?
Well, this time that the screen showed up, I took the opportunity to flash the BIOS to v1.8, hoping maybe v1.9 was faulty. No luck.
I've tried various video cards, both AGP and PCI. The monitor is fine.
    The motherboard is new.
Please help me! Not a great first MSI experience. It was a great looking board, but cost more than $100 in CompUSA and is almost brand new!
    Thanks in advance,
    Jason

I am experiencing simlar problems. I suspect the bios chip itself may have gone bad.  One morning I turned it on and the screen ratorized only half way down and stayed fixed and frozen. I turned it off, But It booted fine but I didn't trust my machince so I turned it off and it will not do anything. I haven't tried F2 yet, but I will after I close down after posting here.
I cleared the CMOS, swapped video and CPU-Nothing
I am The bios on my board is sits in a holder and  is not directly soldered in. I would swap out the chip if I knew where I could get a replacement.
    Thanks!

  • Why is my mac book blank and not loading when I turn it on?

Why is my mac a blank screen when I turn it on and not loading?

Also please include your model, year, which OSX you are using, this will help anyone reading this to offer advice.
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-5431
A couple of shots in the dark here.
Try this, start in safe mode and see if it will go. Power it off, power it on holding the shift key, continue to hold the key till you see a progress BAR, then release and see if it will finish booting. If it does login see if thigs work, then log out and try booting normally. (NOTE that this takes considerably longer,be patient)
Another thing you can try is powering it up holding the OPTION key and see if the start up manager brings your HD up on the screen, if it does click on that and see.

  • My mail app quits a few seconds after launching. I get a blank screen and then it goes back to the starter screen

THe mail app on my ipad 2 quits right after launching. This happened as I was forwarding an email with a long attachment. Now I get a blank screen with just the icons, no mail mailboxes etc. after a few seconds that blank screen disappears and we go back to the starter screen. I tried rebooting, relaunching but no luck so far. Can somebody help me? Thanks
    Hans V

Have you tried removing the email account from the app through settings?  I would try removing it, rebooting, opening the email app to see if it still crashes,  & then adding it back your email account.
If you're leary about causing more issues while you're not home, you could always try using a third party mail app (there are many), accessing your email through it...not a fix for your problem but a way to deal with the situation until you can get it worked out.
Resetting all settings on the iPad (not deleting content) is a good way to clear many errors as it can remove leftover cache files & files that have become corrupt.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.  Good luck & let us know if you get it working.

  • My mail on iMac is not working properly. Click on email, it hangs, showing previous email. Takes forever to load. "No message selected" showing in a blank screen

My mail is not working properly: when I click on an email it hangs, frequently showing the previous email, often for up to a minute. Or it shows "loading" and just sits there showing nothing. OR there is a blank screen saying "no message selected". It's slow to load, and I'm not happy. Recently switched from Windows PC, not impressed so far. Very frustrating.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received. (I upgraded to Mountain LIon, and don't think I had problems before I did so, though I hadn't had the computer for long.)

    Hi Sarah,
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.

  • Ipod touch Mail Blank Screen- can't access mail

    Hi,
When I try to open mail on my ipod touch, it opens a blank/black screen (still with the grey bar at the top with the time) but never comes up with the inbox or any menus to interact with (can't access my mail).
I recently added another imap account. Does it have troubles with too many messages or otherwise- surely it would say that rather than staying on a blank screen.
    Any thoughts?

Have you tried resetting your ipod by holding the Home & Sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo?
