Why would Tips From the Top Floor just disappear from the iTunes podcast store?

My favorite photography podcast is no longer on the store. I know the owner is still making them and. he didn't do anything to cause the change. Any idea what is going on?

I think there's a separate issue that Genius is not working with any songs released after around April 2011. There's a thread on that here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2744045 This issue came up last year as well, as Genius wasn't updating for anything from 2010-2011. Then one day it suddenly started going again. So my theory is it is something at Apple's end, flicking a switch, refreshing a database, not really sure.

Two of your media files URLs do not have the .mp3 extension and thus iTunes cannot recognize them as media files and will not show the episodes.
Your feed, by the way, is all on one line and almost impossible to read. Many of your URLs have spaces in them and although they have been replaced by the correct code, %20, it's better to avoid this.

Downloading from the iTunes Germany Store or Just Downloading Foreign music

I really want to download stuff from the iTunes Deutschland store, but as far as I can tell it's not possible.
Has anyone had any luck with this? (Without having to have a German credit card that is?)

This question is asked frequently so I'll just quote the most complete answer (courtesy of Dave Sawyer) from the many given:
In order to buy from any given country's iTunes Music Store, you must have either:
a) a credit card with a billing address in that country, or
b) a mailing address in that country and a gift certificate or a prepaid card that was bought in that country.
If you cannot fulfill one of these two sets of conditions, you will not be able to purchase from any given country's iTMS.
.......this is due to restrictions placed on Apple by the record companies and other rights holders (who are often completely different from country to country and so all require their own individual negotiations and contracts), not by Apple's choice. And this also applies to all the legal download stores that carry major-label content, not just the iTMS.

HT3819 What if one device breaks down? What would happen to the itunes libraries in the other linked devices?

For example, I turned on Home Sharing for two computers in my home. Therefore, the two itunes libraries contain the same data. However, if one computer got a virus and all its data has been wiped out, including my music, films on iTunes - basically, if the computer just broke down....What would happen to the iTunes library in the other computer? Would all its data be wiped out as well?

Home Sharing lets you stream or copy media from one library to another. If you stream media only the source computer has a copy of the data. If that machine died you would lose the data. If you copy the media across then you have a backup. I don't offhand know if Home Sharing lets you copy ripped CDs as well as store purchases as I've never used it.
I would recommend you have one master library that you sync all of your devices to and you back that up! Other computers can then stream content or you can make local copies.

Will I be able to sync/copy the music I buy from the iTunes Music Store to my Nokia N8?

I am new to the iTunes Music Store, which was recently enabled for my home country. I've set up my account and am ready to buy music. However, before buying any music from the store, I want to be sure that I will be able to sync or copy the tracks or albums between my computer and my Nokia N8. If that's possible, how will I need to sync? Using the Nokia Suite software, which is how I usually sync music? Or using iTunes? Thanks in advance!

Music from the iTunes Store comes as 256kbps AAC. If your Nokia will accept that format, then you can transfer the tracks to your phone via whatever method the Nokia uses (iTunes itself syncs only to Apple devices). If your Nokia does not accept 256kbps AAC, then you can convert the tracks to a format the Nokia can accept. See:

Podcast gone from the iTunes Music Store

I am pleading for assistance to get my education podcast relisted in the iTunes Music Store.
Our podcast has be listed in the iTunes Music Store for a while. 24 hours ago our podcast is now gone from the iTunes Store but can be found at this direct link:

The feed is in the valid iTunes format and is a "clean" podcast. Can someone please tell me how to get the podcast relisted?

Try this - It works for music downloads:
Delete the video from iTunes library and choose move to trash.
Take it out of the trash and put it on the desktop.
Click on it, and it opens iTunes and plays.
Depending on your settings, this should also add it back to your iTunes Folder. Once you're sure it's there, you can delete the copy on your desktop.

Can do everything but buy music at the iTunes Music Store. Why?

I can access the Music store, no problem. I can navigate, listen to music samples, download podcasts, etc., but when I hit the Buy button for any music album, or track off an album, I get this message:
Could not purchase "Unknown". An unknown error occurred (400). There was an error in the Music Store. Please try again later.
I emailed Apple about this and was surprised to received a reply in less than 24 hours. They said they were sorry, and that the easiest way to resolve error 400 is to upgrade to iTunes 6.0 or later. That's no help.
It was apparent that the "iTunes Music Store team" person had not read my message carefully because in it I had said all my software was up-to-date, including iTunes 6.01.
I deleted iTunes and downloaded it again. No luck. I finally went elsewhere to buy the album I wanted. Is Apple losing sales from you too?

I found the solution. It is posted in plain sight on the iTunes for Mac OS X support page (http://www.apple.com/ca/support/itunes/) under Troubleshooting information: "What to do if you see error 400 connecting to the iTunes Music Store".
I followed the instructions and then downloaded a song, no error message.
I was guilty of what I accused Apple tech support of - not reading carefully enough. I had been looking only in the Discussions section. Thanks, Apple.

Can not connect to the itunes music store

yea, I can't connect to the iTunes music store. a message pops up saying, "iTunes could not connect to the music store. The network connection was refused" then it goes on to say that "Make sure your network settings or correct and your network connection is active, then try again." well this started happening on and off before 6.0.3 came out, then when I upgraded to 6.0.3 it would always do it, not letting me access the store. I have deleted iTunes and reinstalled it, reset my modem and router, restarted my computer. And the internet connection works fine, because I am typing this on the computer I am having the problem with, and I can connect to services like aim. also, i have another comuter on my network, and it connects to the music store just fine. please help, thanks!

This is a case of Apple stripping out/changing the proxy support in the iTunes software. Apple broke it and so far has not come up with a fix or even an appropriate public response to this.

I have some podcasts as mp3 files I'd like to upload. These podcasts are not in the Itunes podcast library. I downloaded them from another source. What I do not understand is why iTunes makes a difference between podcast mp3 files and music mp3 files. If I put my podcasts into a playlist and try to synchronise the playlist with iPhone, the files are not uploaded. Actually I do not see the playlist listed in the page "Music" of my device "iPhone".
Any ideas?

If someone is IN Canada, do they HAVE to use the iTunes Canada store?

I have a friend moving from the US to Canada in a few weeks. She's interested in buying an AppleTV, especially with the new updates. Just because she'll be located IN Canada, does that mean she'll be forced to use the iTunes Canada store? Or can she stay with the US store and get her content (music, movies, TV shows, etc) from here?

If she has an account/billing address/credit card etc linked to the US she can use that account from any other country I believe - the sales are linked to where you have the account and theoretically reside rather than where you are when you purchase.

I couldn't access the iTunes Music Store last night, and am having the same problem this evening.
It just says "Accessing iTunes store" and then comes up with the following ...

Mine just says "Connecting to iTunes store" but never connects me. OK, if Apple don't want my money, more fool them, I'll shop elsewhere. It was the same problem the day before yesterday. I ran my regular anti virus and anti spyware checks today, all came up clean and I refuse to start poking about with my PC trying to connect to what is basically a shop. All other sites appear to work ok so I'm pretty sure the problem isn't on my PC. If they want me to buy from them, they could at least have a site that works.
