Why wouldn't iTunes or App Store open?
App Store and iTunes are not willing to open even when my 3G works fine with Safari. Is there something that I would need to do for it to connect?
There have been lots of threads about this on the iPad forum on this site. One person said that he contacted Apple and it's an issue with Apple servers and not with the devices themselves, but it isn't a problem for everyone.
Everybody there only seems to be mentioning the App Store being an issue, so I am glad to read here that people are also having issues with the iTunes Store. Mine is only not working for iTunes, my App Store is fine. They both work on my iPhone 4S, but my iPad, the iTunes Store won't work.
I think it is just a matter of time. I wouldn't waste your time with backing up and restoring your devices, as it likely won't help.

Thanks. Try signing out of your iTunes Store account there in the iTunes & App Store settings, restart your iPad:

ITunes closes, App Store opens
I used iTunes once on my iPad. NOS it seems when i open iTunes on my iPad, it loads, shows screen, but then closes and App store opens instead. So i can not browse music ...
Anyone has an idea?Strangely enough I have exactly the opposite problem with the app store opening momentarily when the app store button is pressed, then closing and the iTunes store opening. Tried resetting loads of times yet the same thing happens. Think this may be a bug. Am also running latest operating system and the iPad is not jail broken.
Anybody got any ideas? Looking around yet can't find anybody else with any solutions apart from reset. Or possibly a complete rebuild .. But as we all know this is a giant time suck. -

I just received an Ipad 2. I had my apple password reset, and now the Itunes and App stores are appeaing in Chinese. What do I have to do to get them in English?

TS3297 Why is my iTunes and App Store defaulting to US when I am in the UK?
I somehow managed to get onto the US version of the App Store and I can no longer get the default back to the UK. I am allowed to change the icon in the bottom right hand corner, however it defaults back to the US when I try to update my outstanding apps. I get a message telling me that I should access my own store in the UK when I try to update, which I of course cannot do. Thanks in advance
Privacy is an Option in the Settings App, its not in Safari as that applies only to Safaris browsing. Its called Privacy in IOS 6 In previous versions the same thing can be found under Location Services.

I have a 2 month old iPad "3". Updated last weekend to OS6. At first everything worked fine. Then 4 days ago began having problems with Safari not opening pages unless I did reload. Then App Store won't open. Then iTunes wouldn't open either. Just white screen with spinner. Then message, Cannot connect to iTunes Store (which it says for both iTunes store & the App store). Yesterday App Store worked for about an hour, then was gone again. Today, completely gone. I can access it just fine on my iPod touch! Checked all settings. Time setting on automatic only gives me the spinner thing. Don't know if that's relevant. But all others Okay. Network okay, internet connection okay. Did restart, synced to my computer, still no iTunes or App store. Using Opera mini browser instead of Safari. I can't get the in-app purchase I made yesterday on my iPod - it won't open in iPad - still gives me the demo version. How am I going to use the app on the iPad? Very disappointed & worried.

I synced the mini with computer. Now I can search App Store but can't download. I tried to sign out of my account, which worked, and sign in to another account (read about this somewhere that it had helped), but now it won't sign into any account. Just say "cannot connect with iTunes Store". -
Why is my Apple ID not working in iTunes or App Store on my iPhone? When I try to buy apps or music it asks for Apple ID so I enter my info and nothing happens. When I go to settings/iTunes App Store my Apple ID is not there. When I enter my ID and password it does not save or link to account. I do not have this problem with iPad ID is stored and can be used in App Store and iTunes. I have just upgraded to 5c and it's still a problem.

When fist setting up your new iphone you will be asked to log in with an apple id and password. If this did not happen you can then do as you suggested going to settings to itunes and app store and add your apple id login. This apple id login must have already been created for the iphone to accept it. If this apple id is already created but is not being accepted by your iphone you then should shut down your iphone and restart the device.

I recentley bought a ipod touch 5.01,set all language to English.....every thing i view is in English except when i view (open) itunes or apps store it is in German, I live in England, I was born in England, and i speak only English. I want my itunes and apps store to open and display in English. I have messaged the apple help and telephoned the help, both was helpful but no matter what i do in setting (even in reset, which i've done) my ipod will keep reverting back to German in Itunes and Apps store. All other data in my ipod is in English........just the itunes and apps store grrrrrrrrrrrr.
Please help :-)You can only use the German iTunes/App store if you are located in Germany. The German store is in the German language.

As far as I know the language of the two stores on the iPad (iTunes and the App Store) can't be changed - they should be in the language of the country where your account is based (if they aren't correct then try logging out of your account by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in).

iOS Reset -
Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer. -

Here's the deal... My iPad 1 is approx. 6 months old. A couple days ago, I tried to open iTunes and App Store, but only get a grey screen w/ a loading icon and message... I have tried a couple fixes I've read on the forums... but I haven't had any luck getting the problems rectified... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
