Are you using a mains charger or trying to charge it from the USB port? Many (older) USB ports have insufficient power to charge IOS devices. Does it show the 'charging' symbol on the battery icon? Do you have a different cable you could try as yours may be faulty.
Is it a new phone or one that has previously charged ok?

You Tube videos slow to load & play

For the past couple of weeks I have been having a lot of problems trying to play you tube videos. The same problem occurs in all browsers. The video loads very slow & then stops & starts all the way through. I have the latest version of flash & did double check this. I unistalled flash & then reinstalled the latest version. This was happening in Snow Leopard so I upgraded to Lion & the same problem occurs.
Today I went over to my daughter's house with my laptop & much to my surprise, you tube videos played perfect there! Could I have an airport problem?? I have airport extreme- first generation. I just can't seem to figure this out.

I went to the Adobe support site & discovered that this may be a Flash issue. They are working on it but really haven't figured out why Flash is crashing.

TS3230 I did an update on computer 10.6.8 today and now I have spent hours trying to figure out why You Tube screens are just a black screen with no play options etc

Im not the most Computer tech savvy fella, stopped doing updates along time ago as I always have issues after updates. Thought I'd do one and sure enough here I am with issues. At First there was aplug in error > I uninstalled and re-installed and that has now gone buy all i get now is a black screen on You Tube that should have options to play but these options are not there. I have downloaded the new update and my phone is acting so messed up. Any info as to why, and possible fixes? Screen freezes, takes a long time to move from page to page and loads pages slow. Any info is appreciated.

Thats a hard question to answer. The iPhone 4 has older technology than newer models which can cause the device to lag. Depending on what data and settings you have on the device, it could run slower. I would probably make sure to constantly close apps in multitasking and possible think about restoring the device as a new device. Make sure to backup your data prior to the restore

I am experiencing the same problem. After updating iOS7 and continuing after updating iOS7.0.2 my iphone5 continues to take about 8 seconds to recognize an typed character. It appeared first with a delay of recognizing the typed in 4 digit passcode, then I noticed that Messages (texting) is stricken with the same 8 second per character delay. The Facebook application and Settings are also affected. All other applications are affected. What is not delayed are any strokes of the keyboard, for example moving the applications around, swiping on the screen left/right or up/down. There seems to be a bug in the "keyboard interface". I have attempted a number of shutdown/resets, which included a powering down, and a home button+power button reset combo. Any other thoughts?

How do I reduce the size of a you tube video for a cell phone?

I have a 640X360 youtube video on my site, https://www.oldeworldelace.com/Custmers-lace-panels.html, which works just fine on a PC and Tablet but does not reduce in size for use on a cell phone like jpgs and fonts do. Safari plays YouTube videos fine. But, Firefox gives a ribbon error across the top: Quality selector disabled: "flashvar" not found (flashBlock?) Then second line of error says: Download Link Disabled: "PlayerEmbed" not found. How do I remedy these two errors?

I should have phrased my previous post a little differently - the sizes available to me for an export were for a random iMovie project that I selected.

If you want to download and view one of your iMovie projects to your iPod or iPhone, you first need to send it to iTunes. *When you send your project to iTunes, iMovie allows you to create one or more movies of different sizes, _depending on the size of the original media that’s in your project._* *The medium-size movie is best for viewing on your iPod or iPhone.*
So the sizes available for the export can fluctuate depending on the size of the original media that's in the iMovie project being exported.
I would experiment using the medium size for the export. If this works for viewing the movie on both your iPhone and Apple TV without having two copies, this will be good for only having one copy of the export but the quality will not be as good when watching the movie with your Apple TV.
With two copies - one that is best/ideal for your Apple TV and one that is best/ideal for your iPhone, or having one copy that works for viewing on your iPhone and your Apple TV but at a reduced quality when viewing the video with your Apple TV. The export for the iPhone will not take up as near as much storage space as the export that is best for the Apple TV.

Why can't i link to a you tube video from email on 4s?

I received an e-mail from a friend with a link to a specific You Tube video but when I click on the link, I don't link to the video itself, it brings up the You tube home screen. I have the You Tube app downloaded on the phone.

Does the link work on a different device or a computer? It's possible the video they linked to is not available for viewing on a mobile device, or that the link is bad.

Hi,
I was having the same problem.
I fixed mine though.
It is down to the rtsp (real time streaming protocol)port which is 554.
If you set on your mobile
lowest udp port:6970
Highest udp port:6999
Then on your home router set up port range triggering/fowrding so that
port (554 to 554) is forwaded to port (6970 to 6999)
to find port fowarding/trigger you need to type your router ip adress into your webbrowser adress bar its usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1
if you go to start then run and type cmd the enter when the black box apears (dos prompt) type ipconfig then enter. this will tell you your router address if you do not know it!
Also i only needed to specify a single port i.e 544 i did not need to put 544 -544 but some poeple will.
Also i used this range 6970 - 32000
this means your phones original settings will work fine!!! aslongs as proxy is off lol but i think that has been stated enough!! the main thing is the port forwarding on your router!!!

Ok. I downloaded jasmin looks excellent and actually found my missing favorite videos. But, now they pop up that "you tube" has restricted them!!! yet they play on my imac.
Does anyone know why you tube would suddenly restrict a perfectly harmless set of videos ( musical band, playing cover versions of U2) so nothing that would warrent restricting play. (only happens on the ipad)
Why does the Ipad not play these videos. It plays others ok.
Does anyone know how I can overcome this problem please?

The GT70 CAN come with an adapter that has 2 (on the older, GT70 0NX models) or 3 (on newer GT70 20X models) sockets for mSATA drives. It's an optional part, that takes place of the primary SATA drive in the notebook, and physically has a different part that connects to the motherboard. If it doesn't come with the SuperRaid adapter, then it just has support for a single 2.5" SATA drive.
The GS70 on the otherhand, has this built into the motherboard and there is no swapping it out for a normal 2.5" SATA drive. You can only use mSATA drives (on those ports). The GS70 is meant to be an ultrabook, and therefore does not have the same ability as the GT70 to house up to 2 full size 2.5" SATA drives.
That's really the main difference here. Without physically seeing a GT70 to see how the SuperRaid adapter works, it's slightly difficult to explain.
But in the end, I wouldn't worry about the SuperRaid....The GS70 should have support for Intel Raid Management Engine, in which case that's all you really need.
