Why YouTube app feels dumbed down

For example let's say I search for a song tile on normal YouTube website I'd get many many results with exactly what I am looking for. Well on my iPhone 4 when I search for the same song I'll get all trash results such as instrumentals, covers and remixes to the same song. Clearly not what I searched for. Now as I understand it not all YouTube videos have been converted to use for mobile yet. Which is fine but I can go onto safari on my iPhone and go to youtubes site and search the same song and have all the results I'm looking for and then I click on one of the videos and most likely it starts to play on my phone just fine. So my question is why dont these videos pop up in the search on the YouTube app? Cause clearly they do work on the iPhone...

Why is Airplay so "dumbed down"

The "it just works" is a great philosophy until things stop working.
I have an Ipad2 and Apple TV setup. I can use airplay from the laptop to appleTV but not the Ipad... tried rebooting, shutting down apps etc.. nothing works. The Ipad is on the network and can surf the internet etc. but no airplay....
Please can you consider putting some startup and configure options around airplay ...at least give us an option to attempt a "force connection" or something...surely If I have my appleTV IP address on the local network and there actually was a "start connection" option...perhaps I would have better luck..
Is there is way to "force" a connection establishment?? If not do the "einsteins" at Apple working on new features ever plan to do something about it?

Rubbish. Just rubbish.
I have airply working from my laptop but breaks-up when using my iPhone on the SAME network. Apple should fix it or use open source solutions without such problems. Airplay devices, and I bought Bose speakers, cost alot due to Airplay...... and the quality shouldn't be so POOR.

YouTube App Bug

The most viewed - today section of the YouTube app hasn't updated in about 3 weeks. This is also the case for the featured section which shows the exact same videos as the most viewed - today section which obviously not right. This is happening on both the iPad and iPod touch versions of the YouTube app. Can someone from apple say if this bug is being looked at or is it just being ignored.

I tried this on my iPad YouTube App and the like/dislike numbers are, indeed, updated on the youtube site when changed via the Youtube App. The changes won't show up in the iPad Youtube app until it refreshes it's copy of the video page (which only occurs after the Youtube App is shut down and restarted).

Why does my WD2GO Pro app keep shutting down when I'm trying to access a file?

Ive invested in a WD My Book Live 2TB network hard drive and the associated WD2GO Pro app for the ipad.
This is great for tiny files (1-2mb) but anything over 20mb make the app shut down.
Why is the ipad shutting down? Cant it show a PDF over a certain size?
I know I can open it in other programmes (PDF by corporate smalltalk) but WD2GO provides the facility to create a URL link to the hard drive, thus allowing me to email this link to clients / printers etc.
The silly thing is that if Im really quick I can send the link but if Im longer than about 4 seconds the app shuts down.
Frustrating isnt the word!
Hope someone somewhere out there has an idea. Just please dont say that the new Ipad solves this problem as Ill be (forced) into upgrading lol

Open a Finder window. Select your Home folder in the Sidebar on the left then open the Library folder then the Caches folder then the com.apple.safari folder. Move the Cache.db file (might say ApplicationCache.db) to the Trash.
Try Safari. If it crashes again, follow the instructions for uninstalling then reinstalling Flash > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Restart your Mac Try Safari.

Why is the original YouTube app not in update 6.1.3?

I recently updated and there is no YouTube, can someone please tell me why this is or how to get it back? Much appreciated.

The YouTube app is not included with iOS 6. Google offers their own app for free via the iTunes Store, now in an iPad version. There are also third-party alternatives, one of which may suit you better. Jasmine is one that a number of people are recommending. You can also use the mobile version of the YouTube site

The youTube App is no longer included as a built-in App in iOS 6. It will probably be released as an App Store App in the near future. There is an iPhone YouTube App available now. You can also use Safari to access youTube http://m.youtube.com/

Why does the YouTube app say "Cannot Connect to YouTube" over Wifi or 3G?

Hi, everyone.
When I open the YouTube app with Wifi or 3G, it says "Cannot Connect to YouTube." I've browse a few sites, and the number one response is to reset the router. I tried resetting the router (Latest Apple AirPort Extreme) to factory default and Restoring the iPad 2 from Backup. I would believe the router issue to be plausible if 3G worked. Since YouTube doesn't work over 3G, I don't believe the router is the issue.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Apple decided to remove google apps from being included in iOS. Google released an iPhone version of YouTube that you could install while we all patiently (or not) wait for google to make it universal...

Youtube App is still a joke - why is there no button to switch to High-Quality on a 3G network with high bandwidth?

I was hoping that with iOS5 Apple is also updating the remaining Youtube App - but NO - the problem: Videos are shown in extremely bad resolution when you are logged in a 3G Network - when you are logged in via wifi then the quality of the same video is superb. The workaround: You have to go to the mobile version of youtube and watch the videos via Browser - there is a button to change to High-Quality manually - this button is missing in the Apple-Youtube-App - why is it this difficult for Apple to integrate this function - we have one of the best 3G networks here in Austria, usually there is a download-speed of approximately 2 - 5 Mbit - there is no need to reduce the bit rate when watching youtube mobile on iPad or iPhone on a 3G network. In early days the quality of youtube videos was very bad so it was not a real problem, nowadays when we "could" watch nearly HD on iPad when being on a presentation this IS a problem. Please Apple, these are so simple wishes ...

No it isnt an issue with the youtube account- i have no problem signing in to youtube. I can even sign into the Google Youtube app. What i cannot sign into is the Apple Youtube app- the one linked to by Safari when you click on a youtube video. Please help me solve this problem as your current answer isnt helpful, thanks

Why does my iPad email app keep shutting down?

I just purchased my iPad 2 3G last week, so I am a new iPad/Apple user. I really like the product and now wonder why I have stayed loyal to the Windows PC for so long. I'm still looking for some of those useful PC keys and keystroke shortcuts that I am so accustomed to, but I am adapting.
My iPad mail app keeps shutting down on me, whether I am typing a message or just reviewing/managing my mail. I use a bluetooth keyboard, so it is not a matter of me bumping the touch screen that is causing the app to close.
I have lost a lot of important business emails while composing them and eventually stopped using my iPad to compose email.
Is there a setting controlling this or is it a program glitch?

It could be that the battery charge indicator is showing 100 percent when you actually have almost no charge left. In case that is the problem, leave your iPad connected to its wall charger overnight, and see if that helps.
One other thing to try, is to reset (reboot) your iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes. Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes solves mysterious problems.

You cannot download the original YouTube app. There is an iPhone version in the App Store but its not the same. Google is reportedly working on an iPad YouTube app.

Well you already know the answer, but it was not included in iOS 6. Google released an YouTube App for the iPad so you can download that in the App Store.
