Wi-fi kept spamming me with "success" dialog box

Hi, I'm currently accessing internet using my mobile phone tethering and connect it to my macbook pro through wi-fi.
I kept getting spammed from time to time by dialog box containing the word "success" and on the bottom there is this link https://www.apple.com/library/test/success.html
Please tell me how to get rid of this as it is very annoying.

I'm getting the same thing on a Late 2011 Macbook running OSX 10.9.2 connecting directly to my work's wireless network.

Can't interact with flash dialog boxes[Solved- sorta]

Any time I try to interact with a dialog box produced by the flash plugin (such as the one that pops up with you right click a flash application and select "settings"), I am unable to do anything with it. That includes moving it, closing it, or manipulating any of the controls within it.
I've been googling for the last hour and haven't come up with any kind of solution. I even tried installing flashplugin9, gnash, and flashplugin-mozilla, and they all give the same result. Nor does changing browsers (I've tried opera, arora, swiftfox, and firefox) yield different results.
Thanks in advance for any insight into this issue.

I would try a different GTK2 theme first. Something not complicated like the default Raleigh theme.

Firefox crashed with no dialog box, none of my tabs were restored.

Firefox crashed with no dialog box. It just stopped responding and disappeared. When I re-opened it, none of my tabs were restored - just my homepage. I had about 10-15 active tabs that I was working on. I'm not too concerned about the crash, but I AM concerned about restoring my lost tabs. Some are old tabs (ie, months old but I still use them and go back to them), so I'd be digging through months of histry trying to find them or remember what they were.

Session restore works more reliable if you choose Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"

A "success" dialog box keeps popping up during wifi connection

Since I've upgraded to Mavericks, an always-on-top dialog box displaying the text "Success!" keeps popping up about every few minutes... very annoying! At work, where I use my Macbook as well, a similar popup is shown, but the message is blocked by my company's proxy, so I get an "Access denied" message. How do I switch this off, and why is it there in the first place?
Using a Macbook Pro late 2011, running 10.9.

In system preferences, go to Network > Advanced > Proxies. At work, I have this set to a secure web proxy with some settings, but at home I switched it to Auto Proxy Discovery. This gets rid of the dialog (for me).
As of recently, I discovered I don't have to switch anymore at work, if I fill in the "bypass proxy settings blah" box, with some stuff the IT dept gave me.

Photoshop crashes with open dialog box on Windows 8.1

I just upgraded from Windows 8.0 to Windows 8.1. I have Photoshop CC, I also have Photoshop Elements installed. On occasion, Photoshop CC hangs when using the open dialog box. It then crashes explorer. The only way to resolve it is to restart the PC.
Has anyone seen this behavior. I do not have any logs as of now.

I don't know if this is helpful or exactly on topic with this thread... but I have to share somewhere...
I've been dealing this problem for months and I finally fixed it on my own.
My Antivirus, AVG, which is great, except for this glitch, was the root cause of the issue.
History: If I right-clicked a file in my Save/Open Dialogue Photoshop (CS6 Extended) would crash.. for the last few months, actually... If I avoided right-clicking I'm ok, but my instincts are to organize, rename, etc. while in the save/open pop-up window ... So I've often crashed Photoshop when all I do is right-click on a file in the list of files...
Well, I figured out the cause of the glitch:
"Permanently Shred with AVG” .. this option, added without my knowledge during an AVG update, was added around the same time this problem started (realizing this in hindsight).. THIS was conflicting with my Adobe Photoshop file explorer window in the Save/Open dialogue!!! After months of trying to figure this out, this is definitely the solution.
Once I turned that AVG Shell Extenstion off.... I am now able to right-click files in Photoshop save/open pop-up window again without it crashing… finally !!!!
...hope this helps folks even if it's just a related clue to other issues....
Basically ,run command prompt as Administrator, then type:
For 32-bit : regsvr32 /u “C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG2014\avgse.dll”
For 64-bit: regsvr32 /u “C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\AVG2014\avgse.dll”

In Labview, is there an easy way to implement a string input from the operator with a dialog box?

I have a production test system that I want the operator to enter the serial number through a dialog box. As I've currently done it, there's a string control on the front panel to enter the serial number, but the program will run without it. Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.

make a special vi with only the string as a control and a second string as an indicator connected to it. This string might be hidden after you connect this indicator to the connector. In the vi-properties select dialog and off you go.

Secure printing problems with the dialog box

Some one which has problem with the scure dialog box then using secure printing?
then we print in Adobe acrobat reader X 10.0.1 the dialog box for entring your pin nummer appearing under acrobat, causeing the program to locking until you go to the dialog box and clicking on it and enter the pin. The problem is that adobe not showing the dialog box in front of the printing overall dialog.
had nog problem with the old 9, it started then we uppgraded. Haw tride a nother driver but haw same issue. And all other programs works greate, word, notepat etc so it is just Adobe that has the problem.. ?

Its´s XP sp3 and the printer is a network printer(Toshiba e-studio 4520c) running a PCL6 driver.
Screen capture is not so much to see i think, running Swedish interface to. The ordinary dialogbox för printing is the first thing thats pops up, and then adobe reader frezes because the secund box pops up under adobe, you can click on it in the "toolbar" to continue. One thing that is diffrent when you print in adobe is that you can se on the "toolbar" for the popup box for the pin/password box is a Adobe icon on it. It is not so in example when printing in word, ie8 etc.
The problem is that many users dont see it and thinks the program has stopt working.
Im now going to try the PS driver from toshibas homepage..

When online via WiFi, Firefox repetedly attempts to connect via dialup, with error dialog box returning every 15 sec. or so.

At home, I use dial-up. When I'm visiting, or at certain stores, I use a Wi-Fi connection. When I'm on Wi-Fi, Firefox does not fully recognise it. It will, eventually, use the Wi-Fi connection, load pages, etc. But it keeps trying to dial in, even while connected via Wi-Fi! Closing the dialog boxes only works for a few seconds, then it tries again, and again, and again, and again... Arrgh!
N.B. Could this be Weatherfox connecting to update weather info using its own connection, rather than piggybacking on whatever Firefox is doing?

You can try to swap the order of the connections and place the Wi-Fi connection at the top to see how that works.

The program selected for NZB files doesn't show in the open with/download dialog box even though it is the default in Options window - Applications panel

Grabbit is listed as the default program for opening NZB files in the Applications panel. When I try to open an NZB file it is not automatically selected, nor is it on the list of optional programs. Consequently, I have to click through the list of installed programs in Windows and point Firefox to grabbit.exe.
Although the file is listed as Grabbit NZB in the Applications panel rather than just "NZB", I didn't have a bit of a problem when I had XP installed.

1) Well, I can set IE as the default program for html/htm files, as well as any other browsers/text editors. There is no issue in setting the default program for html/htm files. This issue is- htm/html files can't be opened when I click on 'open' option
(like temporary internet files get opened) just to view the files in IE when I set IE as default program for htm/html files. Please note that this issue is only when I click 'open' just to view the file. If I download and save the file, the file opens
in IE perfectly when IE is set as default program.
2) Regarding clicking 'open' button:- I want that if default program for opening htm/html files is set as IE, when I click the open button, the file should get opened in IE (as temporary internet files open). This is not happening when I set IE as default
program for htm/html files.
3) Files do get opened when I click 'open' button in IE, but ONLY WHEN default program is some other browser/text editor. And yes they get opened in the browser/text editor which is THEN set as default program.
4)Yes, I've tried turning protected mode off, lower the security level, set custom level to medium/medium-low but no benefit as such.
5) If I download/save the file, and then open the file, with default program set as IE, the files get opened successfully. I think the issue is that IE is not opening htm/html files as temporary internet files (when user just tries to view/open the
attachment rather than download/save it) when default program is set as IE itself. Is this expected behavior?

InDesign CS5 Crashes with Warning Dialog Box

Hello,
Facts:
InDesign CS5, v7.0.4
OS X 10.7.4
No third-party font-management application running.
Macbook Pro (June, 2012)
InDesign crashes in these two instances:
1. Trying to delete a page that has content. Right as the warning box comes up, it shows up without content (just the "Warning" title) and crashes.
2. When packaging a file, as it's about to warn you about the perils of archiving fonts it does the same thing as above, and crashes.
Tried the alt-opt-cmd-shift trick to reboot preferences and nothing.
Tried deleting the two preference files directly so that they would rebuild and nothing.
Interestingly, I have another computer running OS 10.7.3 (as opposed to 10.7.4 on the crashy one) and the same InDesign CS5 7.0.4 and that one works perfectly.
Ideas? Leads?

After 2 days straight, I FIGURED IT OUT!!!! I was trying everything, especially related to font book and fonts and resetting prefs, etc...
I narrowed it down to 1 constant variable: it's happening on the 2012 macbook's, so I reset my mac and held command + R and re-installed Lion, then I DID NOT INSTALL THE UPDATE FOR THE MACBOOK 2012. Then I tried exporting a smallest file size pdf with overset text and also tried deleting a page with an object on it and BAM! No blank warning dialog and even more importantly: NO MORE CRASHES!!! Hey, I might not lose all my clients afterall!

Again:
- power off mac and turn back on while holding down Command + R (dont do it on an external keyboard just to be safe)
- choose the re-install Lion option (I'm sure there is another way to re-install Lion, this is just the way I did it, not saying its the best or only method)
- DO NOT INSTALL MACBOOK (Mid 2012) Software Update 1.0 - THIS SCREWS ADOBE UP!
After you guys try this please let us know how your system is operating, I am noticing my macbook pro is so slow and when trying to send an email and choosing an email to reply to and attach something,etc.. each click triggers the beachball and I gotta wait a few moments..?? I'm sure we might be missing out on some good updates from not updating to the 1.0 software update....but....

I am trying to use automator to make a simple app that when I open it, it comes up with a dialog box that asks for a link that you want to download. and it will download it for you using the curl -O shell script in Terminal. How would I do it?

I want this so I can just download anything I want by just having the link and I have made a few things with shell scripts in automator before, just never anything where i need to input a value into the shell script.

I didn't know that iTunes had a 64bit download. I have Windows 7 Home Premium with 64bit operation system. I downloaded the iTunes for 64bit and it seems to have corrected the problem. I haven't received the message yet since I did this.

What is with the dialog box that pops up when I try to back out og a page that has to resend info or some such reason.

In some sites when I try to back out of a window I get a pop up box with the title "CONFIRM" and it has something to do with resending info or something of that nature.
It is a pain in the posterior I would like to disable it if possible. I don't remember right off hand which sites it is, but it is in some of my bookmarked woodworking sites and sites dealing with sales of woodworking supplies.
