Wi-fi on iPhone 4s permanently greyed out even after restart?
For several days now I have been unable to turn on my Wi-fi because it is always greyed out in the Settings. I've googled suggestions and have tried turning it off and on again (several times) and also resetting the network settings. Neither of these have worked though. It has happened before except it has been fixed by turning my phone off and then on again, but this has been stuck now for a few days.
Any suggestions for how to fix this?
Some folks think the problem is due to poor solder connections of the WiFi chip on the card. Heating may expand the joints to cause temporary connectivity. The chip itself could be of low tolerance, and the iOS update causes it to fail the threshold. If you have tried the software resets, then the cure is to reflow the solder of the chip to the WiFi card, or to replace the WiFi card. Apple will not "own" this problem, even though it seems to be widespread. Apple offers to renew your contract for a new iPhone at $199. Certain repair shops will tackle this problem, although many local shops will not. In the US try iFix Miami Beach. If those solutions don't work your iPhone 4s has probably developed a hardware problem. The permanent solution is to get it replaced.
You can search the internet for heating and freezing solutions that might work (at least for a while).

Root cause: On some iPhone 4s devices there may be a flow soldering problem with the WiFi chip. After long periods of WiFi activity such as installing an iOS update (for example, iOS 7 or iOS 8) there may be a connection failure. A work-around to this is the procedure in the youTube video.

It cost me US$ 1,250 and I want a solution because I saw in the Apple web that iPhone warrantee is 1 year and I am still covered by it.

The "Edit in Adobe Audition" is greyed out in After Effects CC. I imported an mp3 file into my composition, click on it and the link remains greyed out. The link works fine from Premiere Pro CC to Audtion.

I was saving a document when it originally quit. so "locked" file appeared in directory as well as reg file.
Upon restart of InDesign, recovery failed and software quit again.
Restarted computer, then indesign, file opens but as soon as I select "recover" it sends a message that indesign needs to close.
I cannot seem to get out of this cycle. Help.Use your operating system’s Search utility to find a folder called (InDesign Recovery) and delete it.

It's a pre-installed app and therefore cannot be deleted so you may have inadvertently moved it onto a screen or into a folder, check the utilities folder as this is a common one for it to disappear into. Check all screens and folders and do a search in Spotlight, it will tell you if the app it still on your iPhone but unfortunately not where it is. If you find it on one or your screens or in a folder, press the icon until it wiggles and then drag it back to where you want it. Alternatively you can reset your home screen in Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. -
