Wi fi problems E65

Hi,
Can anyone point me in the right direction to configure my E65 for Internet calls? I already have Voip with my Internet provider.
I am also having trouble using the wifi connection - it recognizes WiFi networks but then when i try to go to a web page for example, it gives me a "connecting to..." message that lasts for ages and then it often says "No gateway"?? or something like that.

Are these Wlan's that you know and you have set up as access points with all the necessary security settings? Most wlan's are secured which basically means you can see them but need to have all the security settings before you can connect successfully.

Problem with E65

Does anybody experience the same problem i had after buying E65 a month ago? I've 'connection error'displayed on the screen every time i make an outgoing calls which lasts only a few seconds and it automatically disconnect the line.I've no problem with incoming calls. I've just upgraded to a new software version 2.0633.65.01 but the problems still persists.

I had an issue like this a few years ago (O2 network) and it turned out to be my profile in O2 that was causing the issue. I'd suggest using your SIM card in another mobile to eliminate that as the problem and use a different SIM in your E65 to check if there is an issue with the E65 itself. If someone elses SIM works in your phone, and your SIM is working in someone elses then it's a good bet that it's something with the operator you use.

Problem with language - E65

Hi every body,
I wrote in E series page, but I thing that it is the correct page to write my problem.
I hope if somebody can help me here.
O.k. this is my problem. 3 days before I update my phone nokia E65. after the update my language was disappeared.
my language is hebrew. I understand that the update is for only english or Chinese language.
1) Somebody know when appear update with hebrew language for Nokia E65? I am stuck with phone without hebrew.
2) can I add languages to the phone? (by downloading a file or program).
3) Can I go back with the version to the old version of my phone until come out version with hebrew?

1) No one knows.
2) You can't add languages yourself, only a care point can do this.
3) Only a care point can change your phone back to a previous firmware version.
The firmware installed by the nokia software updater (NSU) is determined by the product code of your phone. If your phone didn't contain hebrew when it was manufactured then future updates won't contain hebrew.
You need to visit a care point to get your language back, you cannot do it yourself without risking permanent damage to your phone and voiding it's warranty.

E65, a dimension font problem

Hi,
Yesterday i bought an E65 phone and i have a problem with reading e65 fonts because these are too much little for my eyes. how can i increase e65 fonts?

E65 - 2,5 hour problem with time when synchronizin...

Hey everybody
I sincerely hope you guys can answer me on a pretty nasty problem. I have synchronized my E65 with my outlook, but EVERY single entry has moved exactly 2,5 hours forward, so all my meetings now starts 2,5 hours later than usually when i look at my phone.
Vice versa when i make a meeting in my phone an synchronize back to outlook - the meeting starts 2,5 hours EARLIER than i typed it.
At least it is ALL my meetings, but what is wrong and how do i fix it??
I have the latest firmware and i have the latest PC suite and im running GMT+1 on my laptop.
HELP ????

Problem taking photos with E65

I have a problem when I take photos with my E65 phone. There is an important lag between the image that I have seen on the screen and that it has been taken by the camera.

WAP problem with E65

I've bought a fatastic E65 and it's very good with wlan wi-fi. I've problem when I enter in my favourite browser game, travian, on WAP (on wiki it's OK). Insead this game is OK when I play it wity my old mobile phone samsung sgh-500 on WAP in mobile phone pages (not on html). Is there any solution?

I had an issue like this a few years ago (O2 network) and it turned out to be my profile in O2 that was causing the issue. E65 and problems to install software

Background:
Bought my E65 in September last year. Installed a bunch of software on it as Live Messenger, Hotmail, games and I never had problems installing software. When F/W 2.0633.65.01 was released, I tried to update my phone but the USB cable glitched during the update and... I had to send the handset for reparation (total re-flash?). I got my phone back and all pre-installed software works. I had a backup of all my files, so that was no worries.
Problem:
After I got back my handset from the service, there are very few Symbian applications that I can install. I cannot install Windows Live Messenger, Hotmail, Y-Browser or anything. It only comes up with a message "Couldn't install" (translated from Swedish). It starts the installation (the progress bar comes up), but it won't finish the install. There are a few Symbian application that actually works, such as JokuSpot.
Have any of you guys experienced this problem and do you know of the resolve it?

In order to install anything that may have system wide impact - such as a driver or some applications - you require "administrative" privileges.
The first user that you create when installing OS X has "administrative" privileges by default. All other users must have them granted to them.
This configuration prevents non-administrative users from installing software that can inadvertently effect the overall system. Non-administrative users will only be allowed to install software that remains specific to their user space.
You have a few options:
1 - Log in as the original administrative user and install the drivers.
2 - Log in as the original user, and use the system preferences pane to add administrative privileges to your own account - log out - and back in and install the software.
3 - Lastly (and not recommended) you could enable the root user (I think this requires admin privileges!) and log in as the root user to install the software.

E65 VOIP Problems

Hi,
I was going to post 2 problems I had. But I remain with only one.
The first problem I had was that I couldn't receive VOIP calls with my E65 anymore. This was in the end linked to the undocumented Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Call -> Internet call alert.
If you have this setting on "Off" you will not receive internet calls, only a message that you have a missed call.
I hoped that I could change the behavior of my second problem with this setting. The problem is that when I use voice dialing to make calls, and I've enabled the setting that my default calling type is Internet, I get a warning message about no WLAN available.
This is quite annoying since that message kinda removes the advantage of voice dialing. This because you still need to operate the phone, to say Yes to the question wether or not to make a mobile call.
Does anyone know how to disable that question? If you use the address book to call you don't get this message. Only if you use voice dialing :-(

Is that the latest firmware?Couldn't find anything on google.By the way i tried updating it but that too requires the USB connection and it doesn't recognize my phone.Any ideas?

E65 Speed dial problem

Just got a new E65 after dumping my i-mate SP5 Windows Mobile device. I seem to have a bug/problem with the speed dial functionality. The speed dials work fine when using the kepad long press method, but if I select from the on screen application I just get "Invalid phone number". Can anyone help

I managed to resolve this myself throguh trial and error. It seems that the speed dial application doesn't like spaces and brackets in the phone number (as often happens when the number is first entered in Outlook for example), whilst the long key press method doesn't care about this sort of number punctuation. Using +country-code doesn't seem to be a problem in either mode. So I just edited my stored numbers and it works fine.
Also note that the same problem exists with the number used for conference calls, and using the hot key for conference call dialing.

Nokia E65 - SMS tone problem

My Nokia E65 CAN receive messages (SMS), but there is NO indication about receiving. There is no tone, no vibration, no light when message is received. I have tried restore factory settings, update Firmware. But there was no result, it is still catatonic about signaling that SMS is arriving. Other tones work OK (Call, clock alarm, keypad....).
Any similar problems or any other solutions?

Well this is obviously a bug. I have 2179 sms messages in my inbox. And when memory is full phone dont indicate receiving another message. But there is another bug. It says memory is full at 1500 sms, but I can still receive smses..
so if any1 else have this problem solution is to cut smses to another folder... or delete..

Nokia E65 big problem had to reset twice in 3 weee...

Hi all i have had my nokia E65 for 3 weeks now and i have had to turn the phone off and on twice in that 3 week period, why you may ask.
when i use my phone its fine but the problem is when i dont use the phone the display go`s dark which it should but then the bar which displays time date and profile its the long white bar that moves at random on the screen when not in use somtimes do`s not show up at all it just shows the home screen all the time. The display do`s go dark but the long white bar that moves at random do`s not kick in. this has happend to me twice and the only way to fix it is to turn the phone off and on and then it works again what could be causing this as the home screen darkend could cause screen damage as its a static picture.
have you or anyone had this problem on the nokia E65 and if so what firmware as there are 2 diffrent firmwares now.
I am going to take it back but to be honest i think this is a bug in the phone as was wanting to know if anyone on here had the same problem as me.

Hotmail problem on E65

HI guys, I have a nokia E65. When i'am on the web and try and access my hotmail inbox i'am getting an error this site is currently unavailable. It was working up until a week ago. Also get memory full when on the web a lot. Any way of increasing the memory. Would love some advice on this.
