Wi-Fi Stopped working and yes I have tried everything
*Before you EVEN jump at me with all the existing methods of attempting to fix this. Please read my post first.*
Okay, I've done the following:
Reset iPhone
Forgotten Network settings (and never been able to get them back)
Cleared network settings
Cleared ALL settings and content
Restored iPhone from Backup
Attempted to connect to several wireless networks
There IS a MAC address in the about page
Attempted to connect to a wireless network with WEP/WPA/WPA2/WPA2 Enterprise and NO encryption
Attempted entering the connection information manually
There is NO mac filtering on my router
Obviously I cannot debug this any further. I intend as my next step to get a hold of a cisco router and run debug on that to see if I can find anything out.
Any new suggestions would be much appreciated, but I have literally tried everything.
Also my iPhone is running OS 2.2.1
Edit: I would appear to be an idiot, in missing the huge topic at the bottom dedicated to this issue. My bad. However from what I've gathered, I am not putting my iPhone in a freezer just to get wifi working. If it is a chip fault I'll be wanting my money back.

I had some issues with WiFi early on, went to an Apple Store, and things worked perfectly, so at least I figured out that it wasn't iPhone.
Then I got an updated WiFi access point for my house, and everything worked reliably after that.
So the question is, have you gone to an apple store and checked the WiFi there?

I cannot open itunes on my windows (older verson of windows) It keeps saying short cut has change or moved and no longer working properly. I have tried to do a repair on the file but the computer wont let me. I have tried reinstalling itunes but still not working. If you're not feeling any clicking action when you push on it, I would get the button/switch replaced.

If you're stuck within an app or you've noticed a problem, simply hold both the home button and sleep/wake button at the same time. It's important to keep your fingers on these buttons until step 3.
After a few seconds the red ‘slide to power off' screen will appear, simply ignore this. Ensure your fingers are still holding down the home and sleep/wake switch.
Shortly after you should see the Apple logo, it's now safe to let go of the iPad's buttons. Your iPad should now boot, beware this process can take up to 15 minutes or so. -
Unable to find any of the mail servers for pop, gmail and me. However can access all accounts directly through web without issue.

Possible fix for Australian users on Telstra and using Tango
I'm using the iPhone 5S with iOS 7.0.1 on a contract with Telstra in Australia and have been experiencing the problem with iMessage and FaceTime not activating. My iPhone 4S on iOS 6 worked perfectly on the same network however.
I seem to have now fixed this issue by removing the Tango app (it is similar to Skype). Reading through this thread and seeing the refernces to TuGo triggered my solution, although I believe the 2 apps are entirely unrelated (just have a similar sounding name).
This fix may have been co-incidental, given that I had to wait quite a while for a sync with iTunes to complete. After syncing, I didn't check the settings for Messages and FaceTime to see if they had been activated. I just went straight to the Tango app on the iPhone and deleted it - hey presto, instantly both Messages and FaceTime were activated.
Hope this helps others in Australia who may have Tango installed, and are on the Telstra network.

Seriously just about to give up on iPod. Apple techs have no idea what they are doing or how to help.

My iTunes Store on iPhone comes up with an error [newNullResponse] always when I click the music tab. The movies and tv shows tab works fine. I have tried everything from restarting my phone to turning my account off and on.
Try a different cable and a different charger. If neither fixes it you probably need a new battery. Apple will replace it for $80 in the US; I don't know what the charge is in other locations.

I have an iPad2 that has recently been updated with 7.0.4. After turning off my iPad, I lost all audio from the iPad. Speakers work because when in Setting>Sounds> the ringer options work. YES, I have tried using the volume controls. But now the volume controls only control the ringer options.
I have changed the option under settings for the lock out to mute and back to lock out.
I have reset all setting
I have turned off and on
I have done are hard reset (holding the 2 buttons down).
I have erased everything and started all over reset.
I still have now sound from my iPad. Again the speakers work, when I go to sound under setting and play with the volume of the ringer it plays the sound.
Why is my controls now only for a ringer after the UPDATE. Is my iPad2 a paper weight?Alright I have made some progress. I used compressed air and then rubbing alcohol to clean contacts. I first powered off the iPad2 and cleaned with air. Then I used the new toothbrush and rubbing alcohol to clean the contacts (really not sure how that works, but I will try anything at this point). Twice the ipad turned on when cleaning contacts.
Outcome I now get sound from typing on the ipad like the typewriter sound. I did not have that before, but still no audio from apps or youtube, or anything else. -

Whenever I try to sync my iPhone to my iTunes I can usually transfer some songs, and maybe a tv show in a good sync? Then I can the Iphone is not connected or disk cannnot be found or disk cannot be read from or written too. I of course have done research, tried numerous usb ports directly connected to my computer, have restored my iPhone, updated my computer (only to find out its up-to-date, Widows XP Media center edition by the way) I have done the whole troubleshooting steps on the apple website. I have called tech support disabled all applications on my computer and only ran iTunes and mobile finder etc. I took my iPhone to the genious bar today, and the guy restored it there, and was able to put music and movies on it. He said it could be a problem with my computer. So I went home and tried again to sync my iPhone, of course same error. I never had this problem before the update, and yes I have tried re-downloading just about everything. How come now my computer chooses to not sync my iPhone, or is it a problem with my iPhone? Also my iPhone is not unlocked or anything like that.
If ANYONE can please help me or had a similar issue, please reply. I have a long airplane ride this Friday, and would love an ipod to accommodate me. Thankyou in Advance.I was having the same problem.
I am returning my iphone for repair or even better - replacement. I feel that this phone is defective, I have had it for less than one month and I have spent much of that time on the phone with tech support.
The current trouble began Sunday when I started to sync my phone. I was not able to sync the books from my audible account because I had removed audible manager from my computer without realizing that without audible manager my account would not be authorized. I immediately reinstalled audible manager and reauthorized my account, so far so good. Then I attempted to sync my phone again. No luck, I kept getting an error – phone could not be synced, “unknown error occurred”.
At that point I tried erasing and resetting the phone from the settings menu. But continued to get error messages. At that time I called the support line. I was told that I would have to reset the phone using itunes restore. When we attempted to do this, we again got an error message (iphone could not be restored an unknown error occurred). Next the tech said that I would have to download and reinstall itunes. We tried repairing itunes a number of times, but each time we connected the phone, it was not recognized.
At this point the phone was stuck at the “restore” screen and was completely unusable.
After almost 2 hours of trouble shooting I was told that the tech who answered the phone would have to get a “product specialist” on the line. The specialist wanted me to completely remove and reinstall itunes, I explained my reluctance to remove itunes completely. The product specialist said that my only other option was to send the phone in for repair, and he set up a ticket to have a loaner sent out. Which I would not receive for 3 days.
Let me explain why I was not willing to remove and uninstall itunes completely. Three days after I purchased the phone I realized that the ring tones I had assigned to my contacts were not working correctly. All calls would ring with whatever default I had chosen, but would not ring if I assigned a ring tone to a specific person. I spent the next 4 days being passed from one tech to another over many hours of troubleshooting, calls to Apple and waiting for a response. During this time I was told to back up my library, delete itunes and then reinstall to correct the problem. Which I did. This took 8 or 10 hours, 49 disks and another 2 days to complete. This did not correct the problem, thus my reluctance to again remove/reinstall itunes again.
After I got off the phone, I decided to go ahead and uninstall/reinstall itunes then try to sync the phone. This did not immediately work, but after attempting to complete the restore 7 more times, finally the phone completed the reset.
After the phone was restored, I tried to sync it and got the following errors or messages – (not necessarily in this order)
1.The phone was not recognized 2. Phone could not be restored an unknown error occurred (6) 3. Phone could not be restored an unknown error occurred (50) 4. Device is not connected
5. Disc could not be read from or written to 6. Required disc can not be found
After approximately 20 attempts, I was able to partially sync the phone.
I realize this is a long drawn out explanation, but I wanted you to be aware of everything I can remember.
