Wi-Fi with Ipod Touch not working suddenly

Yesterday I went to view the weather on the Itouch and it just comes up with update failed. I can't get on Safari, Weather, etc now. It worked earlier this week. I use the Default setting on Itouch. I don't have a router. I am just a Itouch user at home. My DNS 192.168.1.1, Router has same number. I did reset the settings on it also still doing the same thing...nothing.

Do you have another computer on your home network? If so, does it still have internet access? If not, your problem is with your ISP, not your Touch. If you do have access on another computer, then it's a problem between your network and your Touch. Can you go someplace where wireless access is offered, even for a fee? That would eliminate problems with your Touch. If you get internet access in other places, your home wireless network is down.
Another thing I just thought of, based on your "no router" comment; if you don't have any internet access in your home, but your Touch was able to access the internet after you brought it home, you were probably accessing someone else's wireless network.
If that is the case, they may have changed their network, say by activating security (the bastards), lost their internet access, moved, etc. Do you see any wireless networks in the wifi settings screen? If not, or if you see wireless networks, but they all show little locks, you'll have no access at home. If they're all locked, use your Touch to find the most powerful signal, buy a case of decent beer (a 6-pack ain't gonna do), and take it as a barter offering for wireless access.

IPOD TOUCH NOT WORKING WITH ITUNES

I am using:
iPod Touch 16GB 1.1.4 (With $25 Software Upgrade)
Windows Vista Premium Edition
iTunes 7.6.2
Whenever I connect my iPod, the device connect sound is made and it shows up in the my computer window, but it will not show up or sync with iTunes.
I HAVE ALREADY TRIED THE FOLLOWING:
Reseting the computer
Reseting the iPod
Using a different USB port
Using a different cable
Erasing ALL of the iPod's contents (Yes I lost my $25 update as well)
Restarting the "APPLE MOBILE DEVICE SUPPORT" in the "systems" application
...As well as many other things, all with absolutely NO results.
I have tried to manage my ipod through other programs, nothing seems to work. I connected the iPod to a different computer and everything worked fine.
I ASSUME the problem has something to do with the iPod Touch's drivers; for whatever reason they might be corrupted or installed incorrectly, thus preventing the iPod from automatically reinstalling them as well as preventing the possibility of syncing.
My question is, how can I reinstall the drivers without having the iPod touch do it automatically?
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

I fixed the problem myself.
If anyone else has this same problem and is looking to fix it, here is what I did.
I found this on another site:
"Okay well I spent about an hour on the phone with Apple trying to fix this problem. The guy I talked to seemed to have delt with this problem before. He tould me that Apple was getting numerous calls about the iPod touch not connecting with iTunes. So here is the solution that worked for me.
The first thing you must do it uninstall iTunes and Quicktime using the controll pannel, add/remove hardware, on your windows computer. Once you have uninstalled both of thoes programes go ahead and look for anything else that is Apple and uninstall them as well. There should be an Apple updater or driver that is very critical to uninstall, this was the cause of iTunes not recognizing the new iPod Touch. Next make shure you have the very latest update for Windows on your computer, you can check this on Microsofts web page. Finnaly once you are shure you have UNINSTALLED EVERYTHING that says Apple, iTunes, or Quick time restart your computer and MAKE SHURE THAT YOUR IPOD IS NOT CONNECTED TO YOUR COMPUTER. Then download the newest version of iTunes and install it. Once the installation is complete go ahead and connect the iPod Touch and everything should work.
I am not shure if this will work for everyone but in my situation it worked. I hope it helps some of you out there!!"

IPod Touch not working with Verizon fivespot modem

I cannot get my iPod Touch to work with my Verizon Fivespot hotspot. The hot spot shows up in the WAN settings, but when I try to reach the internet it says it is not available. The Touch works fine with my home hotspot. Any ideas?

Do other devices work with it? What says "not available"? Is it Safari when you try to connect to a website? If you go into the network settings what IP address is assigned to the iPod? Do wifif arc show on the upper left? Have you looked at the documentation for the Verizon product?

Ipod touch not working properly after syncing videos

1. whenever i try to sync my videos this error appears " network timed out " and then my ipod touch wont work properly
2. error (-6999)
3. all music played for a second

IPod touch not working with Sony clock radio.

iPod 4th gen won't play music through new Sony clock radio. It charges but won't play or control music. Works with 2 iPhones tested but not touch. Yes I am using the correct adapters, universal for iPod and the different ones for phones.

Does Sony say it will work with yur model iPod and iOS?
Do the phones have the same iOS?
Is the iPod fully seated in the dock?
Does the iPod sync and charge OK?

Other uses have reported problems with Sony docks. Use the communities search feature in the upper right and search for Sony. Use the advance search to restrict search to the iPod touch forum

New iPod Touch not working with G3 iMac

I got a new iPod Touch (4 gig) for Christmas. Tried plugging it into my iMac Power PC G3, and I get an error message. ( error OxE000001). Is my iMac too old to work with the iPod touch?
Also as a second issue, I have a wireless network, but I don't have it broadcasting it's name for security. When I turn on my lap top, if it doesn't automatically find the wifi network, I just type in the network name, and it pops up.
Any way to do this with the iPod Touch? (Type in the network name, even though it's not broadcast)

I AM running with iTunes 9.0.2. in my slot loading G3 iMac. There is no special Hack.
You tried to help me earlier, when my G3 just would not work after I upgraded Safari and iTunes. I ended going to the Genius bar, where they worked on it for hours to get it going again. They installed earlier versions of both programs.
I was going to keep it that way, until I was given an iTouch for Christmas. The iMac just did not see it. I was resigned to updating my iTouch through my son's iBook.
In a question I had about upgrading my wireless network, John Galt said his 500mhz G3 worked OK with the iTouch. Over two weeks I slowly installed what he had, (or close to it) I think Safari has a G3 version, that I may have missed when you were helping me.
The last thing I upgraded was iTunes 9.0.2. After three or four tries, and plugging in the iTouch USB cable directly into the iMac, the iTouch was recognized! It seems to work fine over the past week or so.
Some odd things I have to live with. When I plug in the iTouch, iPhoto will start and ask about downloading pictures from the iTouch. I have to manually start iTunes if it is not already on. It does not automatically start like it does with my iPod nano.
Also I did not realize how slow this machine is, I thought down loading a CD through a La Cie DVD/CD player at 1.3x speed was fast. My son's iBook downloads a CD a 9 x speed! Oh well... slow but steady.....

IPod Touch not working with Yamaha YDS-11, since version 3.1.1

In July 2009, I purchased a Yamaha home theater receiver model HTR-6240 with an iPod Universal dock YDS-11. The iPod Touch worked fine on it until I upgraded the iPod firmware to 3.1.1. When connected, it charges the iPod but the music only comes out of the iPod internal speaker and static comes out of the stereo speakers when turned up. I use an FM transmitter in the car that uses the line out and charges the Touch, and that still works since the upgrade. The Yamaha dock works fine with my 4th gen nano, so I am wondering how the 3.1.1 Touch upgrade affected the line out. Has anyone else run into this situation?

I'm having the same problem using I use my iPod Touch (Gen1) in a Denon ASD-11R Dock hooked up to my receiver. Prior to installing the upgrade, this setup worked very well and I was able to view all of the functions on my TV screen and fully control the IPod. Since the upgrade, when I try to view the IPod Touch through my system, it shows that it is "Loading" for about a minute and then reports "No Song". I tried rebooting and restoring the IPod a couple of times and this did not change the situation. I can still control the IPod through my remote (play, pause and skip songs), but cannot get it fully functional with my sound system like it was prior to the software upgrade.

Why will iPod touch not work with beosound 8?

We have 2 ipod touch. One has just updated to version 5.1.1 and does not work with the Beosound 8. The other has the older version and works with beosound8. Is this update the problem?Any suggestions?

Sometimes iOS updates break compatibility with accessorities.
Have you contacted the manufacturer/went to their support site?

Ipod touch not working with old ipod accessories..help?

I just got an ipod touch for xmas. I realized that I had all these accessories that worked with my old 20g black and white ipod with the click wheel. I had an ihome, ihome to go, and a $40 portable charger. The ihomes will play the music when i plug it in, but they will not charge it, like they did previously. My $40 charger doesnt charge it. I am going away and I need the charger to work. Does anyone know how to make it work or have the same problem? Thanks...

I just tried my iHome and it plays my music and it looks like its charging it. Also my third party docking station made by Tatil works also.

Ipod touch not working with logic3 speaker

HI,
My 4g 8gb IPod Touch running 5.1.1 wont work with my logic3 wis030 soundbar speaker dock (which says made for ipod touch) it sometimes says "Accesory not supported" and other times it wont dock unless i fiddle about with it, and then other times it docks perfectly fine and charges and plays music,
im not sure if its the ipod or the speaker as the ipod is a couple of months old whereas the speaker is just under a year old,

IPod touch not working with FM tuner

I just bought the newest iPod touch that's available (not sure of the edition-woops!), and when I plug it into the FM tuner in my car it says that I need to download a program to use that accessory. Does anybody know what program it is/the name of it in iTunes/how to get past this obstacle?
I had another ipod touch from 2 years ago (unfortunately got stolen =(! ) and it worked just fine- automatically played once I plugged it into the tuner.

How do you connect the iPod to your car? Via the headphone jack? Via the dock connector/USB?. If the latter other users have experience similar problems (Does not properly work with car systems). Apple says the car systems have to be updated to accommodate the latest iOS.

2nd generation iPod touch not working with docking station. Any solutions?

I've recently purchased a Philips micro music system (DCB2020) and whenever I put the iPod on the dock, it makes the connection sound but won't play music when I select the dock function. I've tried an iPod nano and that works so I don't think it's a problem with the docking station. My iPod touch is 2nd generation and has 4.2.1 software update. Does anyone have any idea how I could make the iPod compatible with the docking station?

IPod Touch not working with older cables

I got a 5G iPod (video) a few years back. I also bought extra USB cables, and the universal dock to go with it. I just got an iPod Touch, but it doesn't want to sync with the old cables. iTunes doesn't even register that it is connected. Other posts on this forum seem to suggest that the older cables work just fine, so am I missing something?

I had lots problems with 5G iPod Video (30Gb) cable connecting with Win XP PC but that same cable works fine with my new iMac/20". However both of my kids iPod nano (latest version) cables worked fine under Win XP and I used the Nano cable whenever I wanted to update the iPod video under Win XP.
Now the old Video cable even works with my daughter's 16Gb Touch (on the iMac though)...go figure...
This probably isn't relevent if you are connecting to your G4 though...
