My ipad wont connect to wi-fi from further than 10ft. It used to work fine until a couple of months ago, but now you need to be next to the router

Ok my iphone 3g touch screen is not responding, i can recieve calls and it can charge and connect to itunes, but i cannot go any further than using the home button or the power button, but the slide feature and touch feature is non existent

Also, i have a f'ew cracks in my screen for a while now and it was running smoothly up until saturday when i sat on it applying large amounts of pressure to the phone screen. Is there a way i can fix this myself without having to recover my phone to factory settings or wasting 50 bucks to get it fixed??

ITunes tells me there is an update (5.1) but it never gets any further than trying to connect to the iPad server. I've tried updating directly from my iPad and it too times out saying it cannot connect to any server. My regular Apple updates work fine.

I haven't updated yet. Apple's download servers have been too busy. Did you know you can update via wifi instead of connection to your computer?

Try starting your computer by holding down the command + R keys, then run disk utility on your hard drive. If you are running a version of Mac OS X 10.6 or lower you will need to try to start you MacBook with the original DVD. My iPad and iPhone wont connect to my iTunes Library.

My iPad Air and iPhone 5s wont connect to my iTunes Library on my Macbook Pro.
Both will see the library and try to connect but as it reaches 1/4 of the way it stops.
If I turn off my iTunes Match on both devices, the full library loads on the iPhone only. I can go into the library and it will play. Does iTunes Match have to be turned off?
On the iPad, it shows the that shared library is connected to but it wont allow me to move off that screen. It freezes. I push the home button and it closes. I can reopen but it is no longer connected to the library. I cannot get further than this.
My Apple TV works perfectly connected to the same library.
I dont have more than 5000 songs in my library or more than 10 movies and 300 + episodes of TV series.
Any ideas to what could be causing the issue with the iPad?

Forgot to mention. Have tried obvious things like rbooting Mac and iPhone and iPad with no success

My 2006 Macbook won't start up completely. It gets to the white screen but wont go further. What do I have to do to fix the issue?

I was syncing my ipod to my itunes and the computer froze up. So I used the force shutdown by holding the power button. I then tried to turn it back on but when I did, it would play the chime and bring up the blank white screen before it shows the apple, but it won't go any further than that. Theres alot of clicking going on this whole time as well. The clicking had started while my ipod was syncing. I keep the computer on a cooling pad so i dont think heat had anything to do with it. I shut it down everytime I get off of it, so its not left on for long periods of time either (and i let it power down before closing the laptop).
I have pushed Alt-Command-P-R to get to the Pram, but my computer still does nothing. I've removed the battery a few times and held down the power button until the beep. Nothing seems to be working. Does anyone know what I have to do?

TutorDaddy, if this Mac is still covered by the initial warranty or under AppleCare, take it in and have it looked at. As the old label used to say, there truly are "no user serviceable parts inside." Kernel panics very usually indicate failing hardware.
I have an older iBook G4 that started developing kernel panics and like you, despite reinstalling the OS from a freshly formatted volume, they kept continuing. I looked at the crash log and saw that in each instance of panic, the last bit of code to be accessed had something to do with AirPort. Knowing that the AirPort software was at then current levels, I surmised the problem to be a bad AirPort networking card which, on that particular model of the iBook, was a very small module attached directly to the logic board. Since the computer was out of AppleCare, I broke the machine down myself (I didn't realize that there could be so many barely visible screws in one machine) and removed the offending piece of hardware. My iBook lives but without WiFi, it now sits as a more or less desktop machine needing an ethernet connection to stay connected to a network.
I do not suggest you break into your iMac. First of all, I'm guessing one would need to be able to pull off the glass and have the necessary glue to reattach it, which is not really available to us consumers. If you're feeling adventurous enough to read the crash logs from each panic, you might be able to surmise the hardware component (or badly written application or library; it can happen) that's causing the panic. If it's a software issue, remove the offending software app and see if the panics return. If it's a hardware issue, it's best to let a competent service tech qualified on Apple hardware to handle it.

I just got a new macbook, and airport wont connect to my internet.

when i try to connect to my wireless internet, i put in the correct password, and my macbook says "connecting to network", but right after it says "network time out". i have tried taking off the password and it still does not connect. i have tried plugging in the ethernet cord and that seems to work, but it wont connect through airport.
can someone please help.

I hate to ask you to give more money to apple but I suggest you try an Airport Express.
I bought one today, brought it home, disabled my DSL modem's wireless, plugged in the Airport Express and connected an Enet cable from the DSL modem to APE.
Using the Airport Utility I downloaded the latest APE SW version; configured my wireless network with WPA2 security and had my MacBook AND Lenovo T60 working off the Internet in no time (OK, less than an hour).
In the past 5-6 years I have bought and configured 3 (or 4?) Linksys wireless routers and it has never been this straight forward.
If you can spare the $100(US) I recommend it,

Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.

Problem:
iPod < USB > PC
Result ? no reaction from both devices !
I reinstalled EVERYTHING from APPLE on my PC and installed again - same problem
I restored my iPod Touch 2G - same problem
I installed a USB-Manager which shows which devices are connected - iPod isnt in the list.
On a Apple Mac it functioning perfect without any problems !
On a PC it is almost everytime no reaction from both sides ! I tried on different PCs and its from the most PCs the same problem. I gave my iPod onetime to my friend and he had to connect the iPod more than 30-times that the iPod connects to the PC !
On my PC i tried so much and i am freaking out onetime. Its so frustrated !
Links like these from Apple are not the solution because i followed them and I had the same problem.
By the way: Apple Support should be for EVERYONE and shouldnt depend on the S/N from the Device !

I had onetime a older PC which was running with Windows XP SP3.
iPod was able to connect with the PC.. but on my new PC it wont connect !
It makes me mad this problem !

Itunes wont connect to the itunes store. The error message it gives me says "Itunes could not connect to the iTunes store, make sure your network is active and try again." I can use the internet fine, and all programs can connect but itunes. I have the most recent version of itunes. Also the weather widget wont update or connect to the internet. I'd greatly appreciate any help! This is stumping me and just leaves me frustrated

Same problem here! Except--for reasons I won't go into--I use a VERY OLD version of itunes (6.0.1) and I don't ever want to update it. (I would use iTunes 4.0 if I could find it!) It's always worked fine until 11/01/2010. My Mac is a Powerbook G4 running osx 10.4 (Tiger) and I don't wish to update the os either. ADVICE>> Whatever you do, DON'T SIGN OUT OF YOUR iTunes ACCOUNT if you are still signed in. It won't let me sign back in. Of course, that means that I have lost the ability to play some 200 songs. And of the 200 or so iTunes I purchased from the iTunes store, I bought most of them with this laptop! At least on my Mac Mini, I stayed signed in so the songs still play, though I can't connect to the store with the mini either. Luckily, I backed them up to another (Windows) computer which can still connect to my account, so I will burn 10 or so CDs and re-load, re-title and load back into this laptop. Thanks a crapload Apple! I will never, ever buy anything from the itunes store again. With Amazon mp3s, CD Universe mp3s and even Walmart mp3s, you don't have to deal with this crap! Without knowing anything about your WiFI system, my opinion is that your wifi signal is either, weaker than your downstairs neighbor, or more likely, your wi fi system is suffering from interference. The first thing you should do is change the channel it is operating on. See if that helps.
I tend to think it is not the router, but can only offer a guess, since you did not describe your system.

Printer wont connect when wep password enabled

Hi. I've had a HP Deskjet 5850 for many years. It worked perfectly with my D-Link wifi router, it connected wirelessly with no issues. I recently bought an airport extreme, I've reset everything on the printer and it works via ethernet, but it only works via wifi when airport is set for wireless security is set to none. If I assign a password of any sort it won't connect.
In the printer's admin webpage I've set and reset it for a wep password and it wont connect. Does anyone know if this printer is compatible with airports wep password protection?

I created a WEP password, this is what the printer supports. However, even my MacBook had issues logging in with WEP, it would get bumped off the network and then could only log into the my airport extreme's wireless network after a restart... and then it would get bumped off again. So I switched the airport to WPA/WPA2 password and the macbook works fine now, and the connection is faster than it was with a WEP password. Does the AirPort have known issues with WEP?
