Wich good sound card sound blaster with a game port DB15 for joystic

I want to build e new computer, but i need a new sound card sound blaster, but one with a game port DB5 for my joystick Microsoft sidewinder forcefeedback...
Wich card i could buy ?
thank for help me...

Pixel,
The Audigy 2 ZS has a firewire in place of the db5 jack, but it has a separate db5 game port adapter. The adapter is nothing more than a metal backpanel bracket with the DB5 on it and a cable that connects to the game port jack on the card. The adapter fits in a neighboring PCI slot, and although it doesn't actually use the PCI socket, you can't put a PCI card in that socket along with the adapter. It is a good soundcard with at least a 4-fold improvement in signal-to-noise over the other Audigy and SB Li've cards that I have used. It sounds like the Audigy 2 ZS would work for you, if you can afford that extra PCI slot. Otherwise, you could try to find an Audigy 2 LS. It has the db5 game port on its backpanel bracket.

my new mother board DFI LanParty UT nF4 UltraD don't have a port game DB5...
and adapter DB5 -> USB doesn't work with joystick Microsoft Sidewinder. It's a shame !!!
It's for these reasons that i need a sound card with a game port.
you say that SB stops game-port after audigy 2 ZS, but has audigy2 ZS a game-port DB5 ?

Bonjour,

Hi,
Did your sound blaster came preinstalled along with your Dell pc? If so, you might want to check with them for the earlier version. The version available in the download area may not work/install on your system.

• External Sound Blaster with lap

I am trying to?set up an external sound blaster to work with a laptop. It all seems to the working OK except that I cannot get the sound to come through the external speakers. When I do the speaker test the sound DOES come through the external speakers OK but all other sound is coming from the mini speakers in the laptop. I have got the external speakers connected to the headphone input on the soundblaster - that's OK, isn't it's. Angela

Angela,
Go to Sounds and Audio Devices in Windows Control Panel and make sure the Creative external soundcard you're using is setup as the default audio device.

• Multiple problems with Creative Sound Blaster Live X-Gamer CT4

First I'd like to point out that I'm lacking the installation CDs, the manual, etc.
My problem is the following: I've downloaded what I think are the appropriate drivers for this sound card from the Creative Labs site. Correct me if I'm wrong or if I actually have to re-download a driver installation package from some other place in particular
Ok, concretely, my problem is that the drivers either are not matching, or there's something wrong with my card (it slows down my system on the startup)
Here are some pics of my current situation:

Try this. I also have the ISO image for the CD and I can send it to you but it's 540MB and require you to provide me a place to upload to.

• Audigy z2 sound blaster with cubase sx2?????? my soundblaster has an error

Hi:
I try to use the audigy soundblaster Z2 with Cubase SX2 in one audio track mode it records perfectly but when i want to record a new track, the audio signal of the other tracks get recorded into my new track!!!i I have tried to change prefrences and comands of the sound system but nothing happens how can i solve this??

In creative mixer select "Analog Mix" as your record source. Then go to Cubase and in Devices?Vst Inputs and select Analog Mix as your input bus (stereo). Insert an audio track in your cubase project an select that input to record all your audio. If you want to record soundfonts to audio (because when you export your mixdown they will not be in the mix) you must add another input bus in Vst inputs. Go to Devices?Vst inputs again and add Mix as your second input bus (stereo). You will have now two available (Analog Mix for your recordings and Mix for record sondfounts to audio). So, if you have a midi track with a soundfont recorded and you want that to audio, you must add an audio track, select Mix as input on that audio track, solo both midi and audio track select the audio track to record and finally hit the record button.

• Sound issues with recent 8.3 update for Ipad mini 2

So recently I purchased an Ipad mini 2 32 gb tablet. I saw there was an software update and processed it right away. That completed fine but what I found that when I was running the new Mortal Combat game there was this occasional crackling sound that was very annoying. I also experience it on some Youtube videos. So I decided to return the unit thinking there was defective hardware. So I got the replacement and it worked just fine at 8.2 I decided not update the software for a week and see what happened. Well it ran Mortal Combat just fine with no crackling. It also ran youtube videos with no problems. So I thought ok, looks like I had a bad unit. Let me load up 8.3 now and I should be good. Well just what I was hoping would not happen, did. The crackling returned and I have very frustrated now. What can I do? Does apple or any one else know about this issue?

I just responded to you on this other thread that references this post: Re: iOS 8.3 a disaster
Happy to try to help take a look!

• Sound Blaster Live x-Gamer 5.1 speakers not work

I have the subject sound card with the matching Cambridge Soundworks DeskTop Theater 5. Dtt2200 Multimedia Speaker System. The system is about 5 years old. 2 weeks ago both front speakers stopped working. Saturday the 2 rearspeakers stopped working. Now the only speakers working are the center speaker and the subwoofer.
I have checked the connections. They all seem secure.
I suspect the Card. How can I trouble shoot this problem?

Marc4ucb,
Test your speakers with a different audio source such as a portable CD player. Replace the cable connected to your sound card, and connect it to the test source such as a portable CD player or portable MP3 player.

• Connecting Sound Blaster 2 ZS Gamer to Home Thea

How would this go? I've been looking at the Specs and it does not have a SPDIF out. How would I do this while still retaining 5.

The card has a digital output, you could connect to that (with an adapter cable). You will get 5. that way with DVDs, just make sure you set the card so that it outputs the sound instead of decoding it (so output SPDIF/bypass the signal). The DVD software should be set the same way.
Games will not work in 5. over this type of connection, as the source is not an AC3 (encoded) signal. Check this thread for more detail.

• Both Sound Blaster Live 5.1 and Integrated Sound Card Does Not W

Hi! I just installed a new mother board and cpu. Its an ECS 755-A2 mother board with a 3200+ AMD Sempron/64-bit CPU. It's not the best, but i was trying to save money. Before, I had a soyo and a 2800+ AMD Athlon XP and i had the Sound Blaster Li've 5.. Now with this ECS mb, the sound card doesn't get detected anymore, even in device manager. I downloaded the new driver for the Sound Blaster Li've 5. from their official website and when I came to install it... it said that there were no Sound Blaster cards detected on my computer even though it was securely pushed in IN a pci slot!!Then I decided that I don't need sound blaster so i installed the driver for the integrated sound card on my mb (realtek AC-97) and everything LOOKS fine according to their program and the control panel (sound and audio options) but i dont receive any sound from anything at all. I was planning on buying a NEW sound card but then i decided to test this Sound Blaster Li've 5. on my bro's computer. Ironically, it was detected on his .2 ghz AMD Athlon Thunderbird and now i'm puzzled as why it wasn't detected on mine. What solutions have I tried?I installed numerous drivers for both the sound blaster and the integrated sound card repeatedly and there wasn't any hope. I re-installed the OS twice (I'm willing to do a third though)I don't know what else I can try.. can anyone help and please don't say the mother board :[?Specs:3200+ AMD Sempron/64-Bit CPU (2.2 ghz)ECS Elite Group 755-A2 Motherboard52 DDR RamGeforce 4 Ti4200 Video Card

If you had change the motherboard then I suggest you format your harddisk and start from a fresh install of the OS and not just reinstall the OS.

• Garbled sound NF4/Sound Blaster XFi Gamer with over 4GB memory

Sound is garbled, some people say it is popping, scratchy. System is: MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI, Opteron 185, 4 GB DDR 500 Memory, Sound Blaster XFi Extreme Gamer Sound Card and ATI HD 4850. This is a clean install of Windows 7 64 Home. Latest Creative drivers for Win7 cause sound to sound broken up or garbled. The work around is to lower the amount of memory windows can use below 4 GB, through msconfig. This work around gets the sound working, but windows now shows I have 3.25 GB of memory. The drivers seem to be the problem and I would like to know it anyone else has had this problem and what they did about it?

• ?Using Sound Blaster to record ta

I have a Sound Blaster 24-bit external device ( Model: SB0490) that I am trying to configure,?I want to record tapes and?eventually transfer the audio files to my husband's IPod. I have used the device before to record tapes and LP's and that worked well. The system is the same and so are the different componets. I am using a simple tape player that only has an earjack plug for the out.
I can not get the device to recognize the sound from the tape player, the level guide stays flat and does not show any changes. I do make sure the box is checked to allow for the level to be seen visually.
When I did?the recording?before I know that I had to figure out the set-up as the paper documention?and support files did not cover the needed configuration. Yet I did figure it out at that point. I do not?remember now how I connected everything then. The speakers are working in my normal set-up, I have a simple set-up of 2 speakers. I have hooked them to the "front" plug and tried putting the tape player in both the "mic-in" and "line in" outlets and neither plug registers a sound in the level gauge. I believe that when I did it before that I had to use a splitter, this may be due to needing to listen on a head-set so that I did not disturb others while I was recording. I have tried so many configurations and still can not seem to enable Sound Blaster correctly. Even when I can hear the tape player the system still does not register on the gauge. I have tried adjusting both the sound level manually on both the tape player and Sound Blaster with no difference. I should add that I am trying to tape a booktape which uses a dual outlet plug adapter as each side of the tape has two tracks. After the taping of one track I change to the other outlet and record the other track. I don't know that this would make a difference but it may. I am a novice when it comes to this so I'm probably over-looking something simple in the set-up. And although I figured it out before I am at a loss now. If anyone has?a solution?I would appreciate a reply. Thanks much!?

jutapa - Thanks for the question on the ITunes. The tape player I am using is not a good tape player, i.e. it doesn't have any way to adjust things like the sound quality, etc. Just a plug for the earphones, whether I want to play a CD, tape or radio.
I am using book tapes on the tape player as my item to record and I don't have another tape player available. Wondering if something in Windows programs was overriding the sound Blaster device I tried to forego?the Sound Blaster and plug?the player?straight into the computer and the computer does not recognize it all. Likely because it's not a digital device. I did use?the radio setting last night?to see?if there was any difference, the same lack of sound happened. When I recorded before I didn't have too much problem figuring this all out - listening on earphones while I was taping - was the biggest thing. I?believe I used a splitter for that. I use Itunes for CD's all the time with no problems. In?the current?situation I get sound in my ear-micphones. ?Maybe the problem is in the ear-mic phones - perhaps I used a different earphones before? I think I have used up options with the cords, all kinds of Rube Goldberg configurations starting out with what seemed to be logical ..... my thinking was that sooner or later something?is bound to work. I checked all the levels and the volume is set?at full for mic, line-in, etc. I'm going to hit Radio Shack later today and see what they have in cords - maybe my cords are damaged in some fashion. Again thanks for your comment. If I figure out the problem I will post the solution in case anyone else runs into the problem. Thanks again.

• Help , sound blaster audigy ga

I have format my computer and lost my cd's and i have problem to find my true drivers
I connect the sound blaster with coxial cable to my souround syster 5. and even in dvd and in the surround mixer on test only the front speakrs are working...
please help me...

That's normal for stereo material but you should be able to get all output in DVD. Ensure that SPDIF Passthrough or similar option is selected for the DVD playback software and also disable the sound card AC3 decoding. If you do not have the driver, then you can get the driver here. To configure your sound card, run ctpanel.exe. To find this file, I would suggest to search for it (Start - Search - For Files or Folders).

I?m having the EXACT SAME problem. I thought it was something isolated, but apparently it isn't.
Sound just "pops" and "shutdowns" at an irregular interval of time, which is extremely annoying. I've noticed that it depends highly on the usage I'm giving the PC at the moment. When it's jsut sitting there plkaying music, it rarely happens. But if I'm browsing the web, with sites heavy on images or working on several tabs at the same time, it turns into a 0 second thing, making music almost unbareable... installing ANYTHING at the same time kills anything, 2-3 second pops and fades.
Before you even suggest it, I have a rather high end PC, phenom II 4 cored PC with 4GBs of RAM and a Caviar Black Hard dri've, so it's NOT that the PC can't handle the load. Its jsut browsing with music in the background... with half decent drivers, a 5 year old Celeron PC should be able to handle that...
I've read those troubleshooting guides over and over, and it's amazing how they suggest to shutdown/disable numerous things tha twill kill performmance in other areas, so we can have a functional audio solution. The only suggestion that makes a lot of sense is IRQ sharing with components, such as video cards/SATA dri'ves. I haven't checked/tried that, because unfortunately I'm not quite sure how/where to change the IRQ values... any help there?
