Wide Channels in Australia and New Zealand

Although I could connect my Macbook Pro C2D to the Airport Extreme (n) using 5GHz n-only, it refused to connect (" There was an error...") if Use Wide Channels was selected.
I tried changing the country from NZ to Australia and it then worked (link speed 300). Yet as far as I know, the two countries have the same regulations, and NZ is not listed as banning wide channels - and the option was available with NZ set, it just didn't connect.
So is this a bug? Or do Apple know something I don't?

.....without a single line of Java!....boo! where's the fun in that Chris, you need to take them off the beaten track with some hard core Java coding, that'll put some hairs on their chest! None of this mamby-pamby drag'n drop stuff :)
Jokes aside, the workshop outline looks great for anyone looking to get into the exciting world of JDev web development. Worth going to just see how far the technology and IDE have come in terms of building rich user interfaces in a short development time.

I have iMovie 8.0.6 and an iPhone 4S.  I took hours of videos on vacation (Australia and New Zealand) and want to make a movie.  I've imported the first batch into iMovie and started the project.  I just realized that I shot both horizontally and vertically and when I preview (on full-screen) what I've combined, first it's wide-screen, then it's tall, narrow with wide black sides.
The film looks choppy, no flow, since it alternates horizontally and vertically.
I can import the vertical clips two ways:  "Full-Original Size", or "Large 960x540."  But the vertical clips have very short, fat people.
This didn't happen with my Flip HD; the movies are smooth and terrific.  My heart is breaking.....please, how can I make the videos match?

Yes, I'd like to use all the video I shot, put it together with music, titles, etc. and make it consistant.  when it goes from full screen to this vertical, narrow clip, it's very awkward.....and it's so narrow, it's hard to see what I'm looking at; my eyes don't make the adjustment quickly.

  • Mid Year Go Live-Australia and New Zealand

    Hi,
We are implementing Mid Year Go Live for payroll for Australia and New Zealand.
In case of India, we have schema INLK and list of technical wage types that need to be uploaded to T558B and T558C.
SAP has delivered a note for Payroll India which gives the list of Technical wage types.
Pls suggest what are the technical wage types to be uploaded for Australia and New Zealand and the schema to be used for Mid Year Go Live.
    Regards
    Yashika

    Hi,
as far as i know, there is no such schema or special wage types except the ones that are used for LSMW before go live.
In india, they might need the schema or technical wagetypes for the taxation purposes i guess which is different from AU or NZ.
but australia/newzealand have simplified the taxation for software provides.

Can I use my ipad 2 in Australia and New Zealand without a power converter to 110 volts?

As noted your power adapter will handle the voltage. You might however need a plug adapter if those county's use a different physical arrangement...

  • JDeveloper workshops in Australia and New Zealand 2008

Hi gang, a little blatant self promotion for a JDeveloper workshop I'm running in conjunction with the Australian Oracle User Group and sponsored by OTN in 2008.
"Scared of JDeveloper because you don't know Java, but worried you'll miss the boat in developing Oracle web applications with Oracle's development tool of choice for Fusion development?
SAGE Computing Services in conjunction with the Australian Oracle User Group (AUSOUG) are giving you the chance to attend this whole day event on Oracle's latest JDeveloper 11g Technical Preview 2 version. The workshop will be held around Australia and also in New Zealand in February and April 2008.
This 1 day workshop will introduce you to the simplicity of JDeveloper 11g's drag-n-drop facilities, wizard and editor IDE, as well as declarative programming model for quickly developing a web application using ADF Business Component and ADF Faces, without a single line of Java!
Check out the AUSOUG event web page for more information and how to register. We look forward to seeing you there."
    Thanks & regards,
    Chris Muir

  • Why no Clementine Orange 11s for Australia or New Zealand?

    Hello
I'm happy with my 11s - first new laptop for some time; but a big selling point was the Clementine Orange colouring.
I was told by my retailer that orange was only available online and wasn't available in NZ or Australia by retail outlet.
I want to support local jobs, so I went ahead with the retail purchase and decided to buy at least the lower outer case in Clementine Orange, which appears to be something I can replace myself pretty easily.  The upper lid I am having painted by an artist.
I see from Lenovo's site pages that it doesn't make the orange cases available (specifically?) in our two countries and don't understand the cause of this discrimination. It doesn't help that the box the laptop comes in shows the much more enticing Clementine Orange version, which if it is banned here, rubs salt into the wound...
I get that ordering new outer cases is moderately unusual, however, surely it's good for business if I am willing to lash out extra cash to get what should be readily available anyway and I'm guessing from posts elsewhere I'm not alone.
    Thanks,
    Zoom

63 views and no answer. I expect that at least some of these views will be from Lenovo people, so I'll ask that question again:
Why are customers in Australia and New Zealand excluded from being able to purchase a Clementine Orange Yoga?
My money should be as good as anyone's.

Hi,  I have moved from Australia to New Zealand and cant update my account to an nz credit card...  What do i need to do?

    Hi...
Your credit or debit card credentials must be associated with the same country where you reside. So you need to establish a credit account with a bank in NZ.
"Although you can browse the iTunes Store in any country without being signed in, you can only purchase content from the iTunes Store for your own country. This is enforced via the billing address associated with your credit card or other payment method that you use with the iTunes Store, rather than your actual geographic location."

  • ¿What's the best iPhone 6 model to use in USA, Mexico and New Zealand? I am guessing the Model A1524

I'm a traveler who uses the phone in different countries with a local SIM card (with an unlocked iPhone).  I mainly need to use the phone in USA, Mexico and New Zealand.  Occasionally in Europe but mostly on those 3 countries.   I can see the iPhone 6 plus comes in different models each with different frequencies to match specific cellphone companies.
For what I can see, the model A1524 is the one with most frequencies available which makes me think it may match the frequencies of cellphone companies in more countries, but not sure.
    Please some advice.

Depends  on when you can get an unlocked version but your surmise I suspect is correct if you want to use 4G /LTE
Remember the warranty is not international so buy where you are based for maximum coverage

  • How do I switch between the Dutch and New Zealand App Store?

I am living in New Zealand and bought my iPhone here. I used the New Zealand AppStore but was trying to see if I could also use some Dutch apps because that's were I'm from. I was able to switch to the Dutch AppStore but my appleID was not compatible. Now I don't know how to switch back to the New Zealand App Store and I can't update my current apps anymore either.

HOW DO I CONTACT FIREFOX ADMIN IN AUSTRALIA OR NEW ZEALAND

    Hi. Thank you.
Motzilla is garbage.. Everytime I open a site, it immediately opens another window in the background or foreground with advertising "spam(?)" such
as coles, et cetera, that slows down my computer.
And no, I don't have my computer infected by myself.
It also puts small advertising windows for games and dating sites, et cetera, on the desktop in front of the web page that I've opened and blocking the content on the page.
Stop sending me all this crap in advertising dialog boxes for winning cash and other shit. I'm sick of it.
And will not go away and has no option to delete it off the screen, only to open them.
After signing in to your forum site, because there is no way to contact admin. because they hide behind their computer, there is
meant to be a confirmation email sent and nothing arrives.
This site was good ages ago and now it really is garbage and people want to come to auckland to sort it out.
If it was Monday, I would ring you guys up and tell my views on firefox........
    Thank you.
    Anthony

If you're on an iOS device, click here and follow the instructions to change the iTunes Store country.
If you're on a computer, scroll to the bottom right corner of the iTunes application window, click on the button with the flag, and pick a country.

  • Charging device in New Zealand

I want to take my ipod touch to Australia and New Zealand where i wont have a computer to charge it. I know i need an adaptor device so i can plug it into the wall, but what kind of power adaptor works best for converting the current down there?

    Hello mmillar,
Both Apple's USB Power Adapters support input voltages from 110V - 240V I confirmed this via the input voltage specs actually printed on the Adapter, so they will work overseas.
If New Zealand uses the same two-prong outlets that are common in the US, you could choose the Ultracompact USB Power Adapter:

If, on the other hand, New Zealand does not use the same two-prong system, you may need the USB Power Adapter with the removable plug and an Apple World Travel Adapter Kit:
