Widget Browser in Dreamweaver CS3

can you use the widget browser in Dreamweaver CS3?

Hallo Uta,
Daher wäre es besser Du suchst eine moderne jQuery-Plugin-Galerie, Google will be your friend.   Hier nur eine kleine Auswahl brauchbarer Links:

Good luck!

  • Importing widgets from Widget Browser in DW CS3

I am still using CS3 and would like to import some widgets from the Adobe Widget Browser. Since I can't drag and drop I usually just copy and paste the code. However, I am unsure as to how to access the Javascript necessary for, as an example, the social media buttons widget.
    This is the code:
So where is the accompanying Javascript file in the widget browser? I have looked everywhere.

Sorry, I forgot to press "Save widget files"...

  • Upgrade to Dreamweaver CC to get widget browser (was: Dreamweaver CC)

    Hi everybody!
I currently have Dreamweaver, Flash, and Photoshop all in CS6, I was never really looking to update until I found out that I can no longer use the Adobe widget browser. That was a big part of my designs as I would insert certain widgets. Do you guys think it is worth upgrading? I am a student so I could get the full bungle for a good discount price a month.
    Thanks!

If you own a perpetual license of DWCS6 there's really no reason to upgrade and start paying monthly while you're in school (save that cash for Chipotle, Caribou and Papa Johns). Sure, there were some nifty updates, but you still have all the functionality you need in CS6 to make modern sites.
Use the Adobe Add-ons site to get widgets, extensions and what-not: https://creative.adobe.com/addons
Or better yet, learn how to add jQuery plug-ins by hand since they aren't limited by the development tool you use. There are many thousands more people online developing jQuery plug-ins than there are developing DW extensions/widgets so your library of effects is much, much larger with pretty minimal investment into learning the basics.

  • Using the Widget Browser | Learn Dreamweaver CS5 & CS5.5 | Adobe TV

Add site functionality with ease by using the new Widget Browser. Set up and install the Widget Browser, explore Adobe Exchange, Adobe's new community-based online resource for widgets, and see a sample integration of a slideshow widget.

  • Widget Browser in Dreamweaver CC

I really liked being able to use some of the widgets with cs5.  Now that I have upgraded I cant find out how to do that.  I see the adobe exchange but that doesnt seem to offer the great stuff the wodget browser offered.  How do I use that again.  Or can I find nice slide show widgets and stuff like that using jquery... if so where is a good place to go to find our how to use all of that... thanks

    Hello Avery,
the overwhelming opinion here is that the widgets from Adobe's w-browser are outdated. Adobe's strategic decision and the philosophy is clearly reflected here:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/dreamweaver/2013/06/a-look-at-the-modernized-dreamweaver-cc.html
what means you better search for jquery solutions like:

  • Spry widgets submenu headache - Dreamweaver CS3

    Hi Guys
I'm using the horizontal spry menu bar to build my site.
How do I "bring to front" the submenus? Example, I have menu
1, with submenus 1.1 to 1.5. Also, I have my page heading "HOME"
and some text just underneath this page heading.
Now the problem is that submenu 1.3 is
behind the the HOME heading text, submenu 1.4 behind the
start of my text and these submenus
    cannot be clicked.
How do I solve this problem? Isn't there a way to have a
submenu under, say, the Edit menu to have all 4 normal arrange text
commands that we normally get from adobe encore dvd 2 for example.
Send to back, send backwards, bring to front and bring to
    front?

    Can we see your page?

  • Firefox 3.6.13 will not open as the browser to view web pages from within Dreamweaver CS3

I build websites with Dreamweaver CS3. I am operating on Mac OS 10.4.11 using Firefox 3.6.13 - The problem began on the last software update. I like to use Firefox instead of Safari. Up to the point where I upgraded, I never had a problem but now, when I go to preview/debug in browser, Firefox loads but it goes no farther than my home page ... it will not load the Dreamweaver page preview. Safari works fine. So I think there may be a problem loading 3.6.13 past the startup page.

Here's the fix. Dump Firefox 3.6.13 and Re-Install Firefox 3.5.16. Problem solved.

  • Can't log in or access widget browser from within Dreamweaver

I can't sign in to my Adobe account through Dreamweaver or connect to the Widget Browser
“Unable to load WSDL. If currently online, please verify the URI and/or format of the WSDL (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/exchangedwwidgetsfacade.cfc?wsdl)”)
Seem s like a lot of other people have had this problem and most seem to have fixed it by emptying their browser cache
    Not working for me.
I've also reinstalled Dreamweaver from scratch but still get the same error
    Any other ideas?

Are we talking about the same product here?
I assume so, you are the only one that can be certain. I supplied a link to the supplier as in Comments Inserter Widget for Facebook™ so that you can verify same.
I bought it through Adobe as a Dreamweaver add-on and so I would expect there to be some means of delivery offered so that I can integrate it with Dreamweaver.
You purchased it from the supplier after having seen it on the page that Adobe has offered as a market place for the addons. Adobe has even supplied a link to contact the supplier Contact Us / Support

  • Proxy Authentication while Installing Dreamweaver Widget Browser (Mac)

    Hi,
I have created the Adobe CS6 Web and Design Premium package using AAMEE 3.0. I have chosen to exclude adobe air and help. Exception folders have Adobe AIR Installer , Adobe Dreamweaver Widget browser and Adobe Help. ExceptionInfo.txt provides the list of commands to install the exceptions. While running the commands from the text file, Adobe AIR and Adobe Help works fine but Dreamweaver widget prompts for proxy authentication inspite of -slient parameter.
I am using the below command from ExceptionInfo.txt to install Widget Browser
Adobe AIR Installer.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe AIR Installer -silent -eulaAccepted -programMenu WidgetBrowser.air
Does this a common issue or do I need to change something in the command line?
    Regards,
    Karthikeyan M

    Hi Karthikeyan
I haven't had the opportunity to confirm this with CS6 recently, but depending on the callback the air application makes, I have seen examples where using the -revocationCheck never command line flag could potentially make a difference. It would be interesting to see if it does under these specific circumstances with the widgetbrowser.
See http://blogs.adobe.com/simplicity/2011/08/disabling-air-certificate-revocation-checks-duri ng-silent-install.html and http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/creative-suite-deployment-proxy-log.html for some background.
    Kind regards
    Henk

  • Can't open widget browser or any widget in Dreamweaver CS5

I recently installed CS5, having upgraded from CS3.  I installed Air and then the Widget Browser as instructed.  The Widget Browser works just fine, but it will not integrate with DW.  There is no tab for "widget" in the insert menu or the common area. Am I missing something?

Here are screen grabs of the the "Common" area as well as the"Insert Menu."  The Widget icon or word is just not there.
    Should I just reinstall

  • Dreamweaver CC Widget Browser is it gone?

I don't see the Widget Browser as available with Adobe CC. Can we use it? or download it? through extensions or something.

Officially, the Widget Browser has been withdrawn.
You may be able to down load it from here http://adobe-dreamweaver-widget-browser.software.informer.com/2.0/, but I do not recommend using it as the code will not have been updated.

Learn to import and export presets using the Adobe Widget Browser. Drag and drop widgets from the Widget Browser directly into Dreamweaver.

Trying to access tutorial on Dreamweaver CS6. Adobe TV doesn't work. I must say, for a company that sells communications, design and web tools, your website is pretty poor!

  • Dreamweaver CS5.5 still showing old Widget Browser

I recently updated from Dreamweaver CS5 to version 5.5 -- and watched a Lynda.com video displaying the new features of CS5.5.
One of the videos focused on the new features in the Widget Browser, specifically:
    1. The ability to import/export widget preset configurations
    2. The ability to drag a widget into an open document by clicking on a new "Drag and Drop" icon
Now, when I load 5.5, and go into the Widget Browser...neither of those new features is present. The import/export buttons are nowhere to be seen, and neither is the "Drag and Drop" icon. It seems to be loading the exact same Widget Browser as version 5.
Any ideas how to get it to load the correct Widget Browser?
(I still have Dreamweaver CS5 on my system. I thought the update would copy over it, but it didn't...)
    Dax

    Problem solved.
I did a complete uninstall of CS5, then an uninstall of the Widget Browser, then an uninstall of CS5.5.
Re-installed everything, and now I have the newest Widget Browser working fine (Version 2.0 Build 230).
    Thanks!
