Widget Browser video

Hey folks,
This morning I posted about the new Spry UI and the Widget Browser.
If you want more info on the Widget Browser, there is a good video here:
http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-dreamweaver-cs5/using-the-widget-browser/
Thanks,
Don

I have e-mailed kin with a simular request, a complete Spry 1.7 zip file would be nice.
If i remember correctly there was also a small edit in a HTML dataset.. but i'm not 100% sure.
As the version numbers do not match up and the change log doesn't mention it..
http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/ChangeLog.html
But as you see, it is available on the "preview" section of the site..
http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/includes/SpryHTMLDataSet.js
http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/preview/SpryHTMLDataSet.js
As for complete overview of all the new Spry 1.7 files I have manually searched the whole
site and WidgetBrowser platform for files so i can include them in my latest version of the
config.spry-it.com configurator.
So instead of searching the whole site you can just fetch them out of my github repo:
http://github.com/3rd-Eden/Spry-Configurator/tree/master/js/1.7/
As for the broken links, I have no clue. Seems like Spry is getting less and less priority
by Adobe as there aren't any session on Adobe Spry on MAX 2010 either ( where the last 2 years there was ).

  • Dreamweaver CS5.5 still showing old Widget Browser

    I recently updated from Dreamweaver CS5 to version 5.5 -- and watched a Lynda.com video displaying the new features of CS5.5.
    One of the videos focused on the new features in the Widget Browser, specifically:
    1. The ability to import/export widget preset configurations
    2. The ability to drag a widget into an open document by clicking on a new "Drag and Drop" icon
    Now, when I load 5.5, and go into the Widget Browser...neither of those new features is present. The import/export buttons are nowhere to be seen, and neither is the "Drag and Drop" icon. It seems to be loading the exact same Widget Browser as version 5.
    Any ideas how to get it to load the correct Widget Browser?
    (I still have Dreamweaver CS5 on my system. I thought the update would copy over it, but it didn't...)

    Problem solved.
    I did a complete uninstall of CS5, then an uninstall of the Widget Browser, then an uninstall of CS5.5.
    Re-installed everything, and now I have the newest Widget Browser working fine (Version 2.0 Build 230).
    Thanks!

  • Widget Browser Does Not Work

    I have the Adobe CC Suite and Dreamweaver CS5.5 and everything is included, however whenever I'm making a webpage and I'm trying to use the widget browser it does not work. I have tried re-installing Dreamweaver and the wideget browser and it does not work, I am signed into Adobe Exchange and everything. I looked at all the other forums about this and none of thos solutions worked out for me. I also could not find the Widget Browser forum so I posted it here because they are intergrated!
    And help would be great!
    Thanks!

    You don't need a widget for this.  HTML5 <video> is a web standard supported by all modern browsers/devices.  Simply copy & paste the following code into a new, blank document.   Change sample videos to your own.
    <!doctype html>
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">

    I just noticed something from the Lynda.com video: it's showing that the guy is using Version 2.00 Build 211 of the Widget Browser.
    My version of Widget Browser is still showing Version 1.0 Build 568.
    All of the other new features in CS5.5 are working fine. But not the Widget Browser.
    I'm going to uninstall Dreamweaver CS5 and CS5.5 -- and try re-installing them from scratch.
    Here's a screenshot of what I'm talking about:

  • System reboot while installing Adobe Widget Browser.

    Hello ,
               While proceeding though the installation of DW CS5 Trial , Everything is ok till it goes to install Adobe Widget Browser. My system unexpectedly restarts without any warning. Same happens when I try to install it individually.
    My system specs :
    1 GB Ram
    512 mb video memory
    120 GB HDD

    When your computer reboots, it is usually a sign of hardware-related issues, possibly something wrong with the hardware, or some kind of driver conflict.
    What version of Windows are you running?
    If it's XP, have you updated to Service Pack 3 (SP3)?
    How much space do you have free on the hard drive you mention?

  • Can't log in or access widget browser from within Dreamweaver

    I can't sign in to my Adobe account through Dreamweaver or connect to the Widget Browser
    “Unable to load WSDL. If currently online, please verify the URI and/or format of the WSDL (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/exchangedwwidgetsfacade.cfc?wsdl)”)
    Seem s like a lot of other people have had this problem and most seem to have fixed it by emptying their browser cache
    Not working for me.
    I've also reinstalled Dreamweaver from scratch but still get the same error
    Any other ideas?

    Are we talking about the same product here?
    I assume so, you are the only one that can be certain. I supplied a link to the supplier as in Comments Inserter Widget for Facebook™ so that you can verify same.
    I bought it through Adobe as a Dreamweaver add-on and so I would expect there to be some means of delivery offered so that I can integrate it with Dreamweaver.
    You purchased it from the supplier after having seen it on the page that Adobe has offered as a market place for the addons. Adobe has even supplied a link to contact the supplier Contact Us / Support

    Neu laden --> ergibt keinerlei Reaktion.
    Weitere Informationen anzeigen.
If currently online, please verify the URI and/or format of the WSDL (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/exchangedwwidgetsfacade.cfc?wsdl).

  • Return to Widget Browser for editing a customized Menu Bar?

    How to edit a Spry Menu 2.0 _after_ customizing with the Adobe Widget Browser and inserting the menu and further structural customizing via DW CS5?
    Yes, the new Browser and the new Menu 2.0 are a large step forward - thanks! But no resources (searched high and low ...) show how to return to the Widget Browser, and all its wonderful configuration tools, once a menu is inserted.
    The Widget Browser apparently does not allow setting up correct button labels, levels, etc.; instead the Widget Browser is where all the 'style' configuration is done. So, we use the Widget Browser to configure / style a Spry Menu 2.0 and then insert it into a page with DW CS5.  Of course, then the menu has to get the correct button labels, levels, etc.  So further structural customization, in DW.
    Now, we decide we want to try out some alternative styling, to compare and contrast options. Of course, that means we want to return to the Widget Browser again and use it. That CSS is hard in a widget such as this, and the whole point of the Widget Browser is to make that styling accessible.
    How to do that, to return to the Widget Browser - and at the same time not lose all the structural customization done in DW?
    What are we missing? Your help is most greatly appreciated.  David Allen

    Yes, of course! Add an ID to each main menu bar item (customize...) and in the CSS, make descendant selectors that include the ID and indicate the background color for that section.
    For this set of menu items:
      <li id="food"><a class="MenuBarItemSubmenu" href="#">Food</a>
        <ul>
          <li><a href="#">Item 1.1</a></li>
          <li><a href="#">Item 1.2</a></li>
          <li><a href="#">Item 1.3</a></li>
        </ul>
      </li>
    these selectors:
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li#food a.MenuBarItemHover,
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li#food  a.MenuBarItemSubmenuHover,
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li#food  a.MenuBarSubmenuVisible
        background-color: green;
    will add the background-color 'green' to all hovered menu list items (and submenu list items) of the list item with the id="food".
    If you want yet another color for the submenus, do it this way:
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li#food a.MenuBarItemHover
        background-color: green;
    and
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li#food  a.MenuBarItemSubmenuHover,
    ul.MenuBarHorizontal li#food  a.MenuBarSubmenuVisible
        background-color: lightgreen;
    this latter will catch all the submenus's hover background-color.

  • Adobe Widget Browser does not complete downloads

    Hi,
    i run Adobe Creative Suite CS5 in German for Windows on a Windows Vista PC.
    I switched off all antivirus and firewalls.
    I logged on and off and on again to the Widget Browser (v. 1.0 Built 543) and Adobe Exchange web-site.
    I checked various folders underneath appData.
    The result is always the same: No widget download is completed. They all terminate with Error#2032.
    Reading the forum does not give me any result.
    i am grateful for all sort of help.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your report issue to adobe and I'm sorry you're having  problems with widget browser.  Unfortunately you've reached the AIR  forums.  Do you mind reposting this question over on the Dreamweaver widget browser forum?
    Thanks,Qingyan

  • Widget Browser Not Working - Please Help

    When I open up the Widget Browser program it doesn't work because it says that I am not connected to the internet, but I am. Can anyone help me fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

    Thank you both for your help.
    I would post a screenshot of the message, but I have solved the problem!
    I had been struggling with this for months, funny, a couple of insights and I figure out what was wrong:
    My home had the same name as my hard drive.
    I changed the name of one of them (the hard drive) and preview in browser started running smoothly in both browsers.
    Thanks again.

  • Youtube widget produces videos that don't work correctly when played in iWeb

    Get a flashing video when embedding a Youtube video in an iWeb window using th Youtube widget.
    Video plays OK in Youtube.
    Used iMovie to prepare the Quicktime movie and used settings recommended for Youtube uploading.

    The YouTube widget stopped working when MobileMe was discontinued 2 years ago. The widget needed the MMe servers in order to work.
    To add a youtube video go to YouTube and get the embed code for that video.  Back in iWeb use a regular HTML widget with the embed code.

  • Widget Browser in Dreamweaver CS3

    can you use the widget browser in Dreamweaver CS3?

    Hallo Uta,
Daher wäre es besser Du suchst eine moderne jQuery-Plugin-Galerie, Google will be your friend.   Hier nur eine kleine Auswahl brauchbarer Links:
    http://www.malsup.com/jquery/cycle/, http://www.dwuser.com/easyrotator/  usw. oder per java

  • Importing widgets from Widget Browser in DW CS3

    I am still using CS3 and would like to import some widgets from the Adobe Widget Browser. Since I can't drag and drop I usually just copy and paste the code. However, I am unsure as to how to access the Javascript necessary for, as an example, the social media buttons widget.
    This is the code:
    So where is the accompanying Javascript file in the widget browser? I have looked everywhere.

    Sorry, I forgot to press "Save widget files"...

  • Spry Accordion and jQuery UI Accordion for Widget Browser

    I have Dreamweaver CS5 and used the spry accordion for a left menu. I then used the widget browser and added jQuery UI accordion. But there appears to be a conflict in that the spry accordion is not displaying the white font on hover, instead using the gray font from the jQuery UI accordion.
    This may be a duplicate post, I asked this question on another section of this site, if so, I do apologize. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    The page sample is
    http://www.sbcvote.us/registrar/2006_form460.htm
    Thanks to all,

    In SpryAccordion.css you are telling the Spry Accordion to do exactly that.

  • Accordion widget browser panel height

    I am using the accordion widget browser and would like to shorten the height of the
    panels - how can I do this...

    I found the solution!
    Sample of before: www.muohio.edu/lll/studyabroadweek/index2.html
    Sampe of after: www.muohio.edu/lll/studyabroadweek.
    The solution was at: http://docs.jquery.com/UI/Accordion#options  but was a bit difficult for me to figure out how to implement it... after a bit of experiment - I got it!
    In your .html document, at the beginning of the widget look for the code in black.  Code in bold red is what was needed to solve the issue.
    $(function(){
                    // Accordion
                    $("#jQueryUIAccordion").accordion({ header: "h3",
                                                animated: "slide",
                                                event: "click",
                                                collapsible : "false",
                                                autoHeight: false
