Widget Parameters Tab Missing (Certificate.swf) AS2

Hi,
I have hit an unusual problem.
When I insert the AS2 version certificate.swf into a slide, the Widgets Parameter tab does not show up anymore. The result is that I cannot insert the Course name or set the certificate to automatically insert the name of the person onto the certificate, apart from it not showing the scores and grade. The swf file is more like a jpg file, rather than a a widget that automatically inserts data into its boxes.
I don't understand if the AS2 version of the file (certificate.swf) is corrupted. I even tried exporting a new swf from the 'certificate.fla' file but no luck.
Wonder if anyone has come across this before and if so how did you resolve it.
Alternatively, I will be grateful if someone out there is gracious enough to upload a working version of the 'certificate.fla' and 'certificate.swf' file (both AS2 versions) from where I can download the same.

Perhaps try the following. Create a single slide blank project and try inserting the widget. Do you see the area? If so, it means you have something causing the issue in the other project and you may need to sort of redo the project. Don't let that cause you grief, usually it's pretty straightforward to create a new blank project sized identically, copy paste slides and re-link any links. That's not too bad.
If you don't see a change, it means you have a general Captivate issue. In this case you may wish to try blowing away your Captivate_40.dat file. Close Captivate > Navigate to where the file is found (usually it's in the location below:)
?:\Documents and Settings\??\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Captivate
? = Your drive letter
?? = Your logged in user name

Only when your document is configured for ActionScript 3.0?
If so,
that's kind of odd, but my hunch is that you meant CS3. In
any case, you
may have accidentally clicked the X that closes that
tab/panel. To get it
back, use the file menu:
Window > Properties > Parameters.
Write back if that doesn't do it!

Which Data-Types can be used as Widget Parameters?

Hi,
I have been playing about with widgets (specifically widget parameters) for a while now.
I've got to wondering, exactly which data-types can Captivate turn into widget parameters?
So far I know that you can use:
Numbers,
Strings,
Arrays,
Objects
and Booleans,
as parameters.
Which ones am I missing?
I know some don't work, because I tried storing a MovieClip as a parameter and that didn't work.

You can set all basic data types supported in flash viz.,
1)Numbers
2)Strings
3)Arrays
4)Objects
Since in Action script , an Object can be anything (array , array of objects , array of objects which by themselves are array of objects and so on ) , you can virtualy send anything as widget params
But there are two caveats to this
1)Object References
-Object References do not have any meaning once the swf is closed.But the widget params have to be stored across sessions.So If you send a reference as part of widget params it is not going to work.
This is why sending a Movie Clip (which is actually a reference to an Object ) does not work
If you want to send such things you will have to 'serialize' the object.
2)Size of the Object that you send
The size of the object that you send can have an impact on performance.And since any object that you send has to be converted into XML , objects like bitmaps can turn out to be huge and difficult to handle.
This brings us down to this - you can send any object across as widget param as long as it is small and serialized.

Error in Delivery using ME2O : "essential transfer parameters are missing"

Hi All
We have a subcontracting PO for which when trying to create Delivery using ME2O we are getiing error "essential transfer parameters are missing in record 000001". I understand that this error is coming because shpping point is not ap[earing when click on create delivery tab.
Any pointer in this regrd.
Would like to inform that we have already connected the Vendor and Customer in respective master. Apart from that
we have checked that shipping condition, loading group and plant is also set which determines the shipping point.
Would appreciate usefule pointer as this is very urgent.

SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set Up Subcontract Order > Here assign Delivery Type "LB" to Plant
SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set Up Stock Transport Order > Define Shipping Data for Plants > Here assign the Customer Code of Plant and Sales Area to the Plant
Note: - Customer Code of Plant is to be created in XD01.
Check whether Material Master is extended to the Sales Area.

I installed the API gateway. When I create the API object and attempt to
configure it, the "required parameters" tab does not appear where I can edit
paths. Am I missing something?

You need the GW5.5 snapins to make that work. Do you have a full set?

I am facing the same problem. After selecting an export option (PDF/RTF), the same error message is coming up.

The default Firefox Options window doesn't have a separate tab for Downloads, those prefs are on the General tab below Startup.

Itunes artwork tab missing for movies in version 11.1.3.8

For some reason recently I am noticing the artwork tab missing when I import in a movie into my itunes directory. This just started happening and the movie formats are exactly the same as ones which have the artwork tab available. These are all MPEG-4 Video Files at 124 kbps. Typical iTunes 'anomoly' but on this one I am baffled. Anyone have a clue as to how to fix this? I even tried completely removing the movie from the itunes file directory and then reimporting into iTunes but same issue.

You can access the apps by clicking the iPad thingy on top right of the screen (when the iPad is connected) and then select Apps and scroll down to file sharing apps...

Default parameters are missing in the cloned EUL

we have discoverer up and running perfectly on our existing instance - SIGMA
now we have a new instance - ALPHA,
we cloned the whole EUL from old instance(SIGMA),
IN ALPHA every thing is working fine, we have all the BA,folders and all the workbooks seem to work fine, but we have a issue with the default parameters.
the default parameters are missing from the workbooks, now this has become an big issue, because we have hundreds of reports and user want need them all with the default parameters
could somebody please help me on this issue
few questions:
when cloned does the default parameters get erased??
Does the default parameters entered in the workbook get saved anywhere in the EUL_Tables??
Could you please give me a best approach to bring in thoese default parameters??
any thoughts are highly appreciated
note: i can edit the worksheet and enter the default parameter and save the worksheet but we have got some hundreds of workbooks

when cloned does the default parameters get erased??I would be surprised if the default parameters are erased. More likely is that they are not being used because the default value is not valid anymore or because Discoverer is trying to use the last parameter value. Check the value of the SaveLastUsedParamValue preference setting. Is this the same on Desktop, viewer and Plus?
Does the default parameters entered in the workbook get saved anywhere in the EUL_Tables??The default parameters will be save along with the workbook in the EUL5_DOCUMENTS table. The field is of type LONG RAW so you won't easily be able to see this field. You can use the workbook dump utility to check whether there are default parameters actually set up in the workbook.
Could you please give me a best approach to bring in thoese default parameters??You could try exporting and importing the workbooks into the new environment to see whether this fixes the issue.

Crystal Report "some parameters are missing values" while exporting/printin

I am able to pass parameters from a JSP to a crystal report through CrystalReportViewer and view the report. (I tried doing it using the code provided on this help forum. I was getting a message: "Some Parameters are missing values". I had to add 1 line: pfield1.setReportName(""); for every parameter field. And It worked..)
Now I can see the "Print" and "Export" buttons. But when I try to print or export the report, I get the same message "Some Parameters are missing values".

In order to connect crystal with JNDI you have to set the correct parameters
into CRConfig.xml

I put both files into WEB-INF classes directory
and finaly in both cases you have to include in your project the driver libs

I am trying to invoke a crystal report using JRC API. I am using Business Objects XI.

The problem may be that you are setting your report date parameters as a string when you pass the value to the report.   If the JRC does not recognize the parameter value as the correct type, it will throw the error you see when trying to pass them to the report.
If they are a date type or a date time type in the report, they must be set as such using the Java Calendar object.
Below is an example of how one would pass a date parameter to a report:

Boot Image properties...tabs missing

I updated our SCCM system to R2 yesterday...today when I went in to edit a boot image I no longer see the "drivers" tab...it seems like there are other tabs missing as well, just can't remember. Don't know how to add drivers to a boot image
now.
