Widget text not properly displaying

I have been trying to get a basic widget to work using widgetfactory API on Captivate 5. Most of the functionality is there however the two text boxes in the properties pannel should be populating two text fields at run time & preview. Instead, the text is being chopped up, (almost every other first letter is lost). Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this might be happening?

Take a look at font embedding on your text controls. You may have not embedded a full set of characters if you enabled font embedding.

Hi Everyone,
we have implemented FPN between EP 7.0 and BI 7.0 . A role with BI reports (iview created using Bex7.0 template) are working fine in BI Portal.
When its RRA to a users in EP-consumer portal, its not coming properly. I mean it shows some default header/Menu (like New Analysis Open, Save As, Information, Send etc..) in EP but not displaying the details of the report. Other URL iviews are working fine in RRA, just BI query is not coming properly. All pre-requisite for FPN is done properly and SSO configured.

Profit center text not getting displayed in report

Hi all
Iam using 0profit_ctr in my query.But in report the text associated with it is not getting displayed.When i see the masterdata the text is displayed properly.
Please let me know how to rectify this.

Right click on the master object, and click "Activate Master Data"

Text not getting displayed in PA40 action.

Hello All,
We upgraded from 4.6 to 5.0. When I doing the hiring or any other action, the text for the action type, reason for action or any other field is not getting displayed. Even when I select the entries the text for that is not getting displayed.
like its displaying only 01- for Action type hiring.

I checked this and this table is having all the values properly maintained. Language, Action, Name of the action is maintained. Is there any place where we need to activate this in order for us to see the name of the action type also when we select an action in PA40.

Why do TOC do not properly display levels,... even after I set them to?

All,
I am having a major hard time trying to get my TOCs to properly display levels. I have been doing research on the subject, but it seems any recommendations have proved futile.
The issue:
My ID docs TOC's do not display levels at all
I have pretty much tried everything. I have gone to simple styles for Chapters and Sub Chapters to see what the issue would be

It seems setting an inset on text boxes with TOC content affects the display of such
I tried removing any insets but results still did not fix the issue i face
Questions
What the hell am i doing wrong?
Is this a bug in ID CS6?
Is there anything I should not be doing when formatting a style that will be used on the TOC?
Are there any "NO NOS" I should be aware of here?
I mean, the above image is a test i built using a bare bones approach. The "Chapters" and "Sub Heads" styles are truly basic formats. The only attributes to these styles is a change in font style and size:

Thanks to everyone for all your comments. To remove any possible conflicts, I did not apply any entry styles to the entries because i thought:
The TOC function generate levels independent of styles
Levels are automatically applied to any entry (TOC levels override everything else)
That levels override any styles one may apply to the entry
Basically, I do not need a style to create an indentation in my TOC. Levels create the indentation. (thus my example using the default ID Basic Paragraph Style)
Are the above assumptions wrong? If I am wrong, then are you guys saying I would need to create a TOC specific style denoting indentation for ever level?
IOWs, following my example:
Chapters = LV1 = Create a "TOC Paragraph Style X" that indents (say) 0pxs
Sub Heads = LV2 = Create another "TOC Paragraph Style Y" that indents (say) 20pxs
On the table of contents I would need to apply each their corresponding style in order to create TOC indents:
"Chapters" ---> TOC Paragraph Style X
"Sub Heads" ---> TOC Paragraph Style Y
If this is the fix, then I must say that this is a very cumbersome approach. (Hell, I would ask, why give me the levels option in the firts place in the TOC dialogue box!) If I have a book with a ton of levels, it will be pretty darn hard to manage so many styles.
PS: sorry I omitted one dialogue screen in my original post. Here is what I am doing.

Some fonts I use for my iWeb-made site are not properly displayed on other computer. How can I sort it out?

I have made a website and I have noticed that some fonts and some background shapes are not correctly displayed on other computers (non Mac users).
Could you help me to sort out this problem?

It's not a browser issue per se either.
You see the Font because the font is your computer. The same font has to be on the computer of your visitor.
iWeb use a substitute font based on a font list it uses. If that substitute font is missing too, the browser chooses a similar font, which is not always the one you want.
You can force your font to display on a PC (but not with Internet Explorer) using a custom stylesheet with an embedded font. See it here :

New MacBookPro 13" (early 2011) not properly displaying 1920x1200 on an external display

Hi,
A week ago I got a new MacBookPro 13". Early 2011 model, the ones that now come with an Intel HD Graphics 3000 video card. I am connecting it to a Sun 24.1" LCD Monitor v4 (http://www.oracle.com/us/products/servers-storage/desktop-workstations/030743.ht m) through a Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter. Supposedly the Sun monitor is running at 1920x1200 @ 60hz (with the MacBookPro at its original resolution of 1280x800).
The problem is that the image on the Sun monitor is not using the whole screen. The MacOs is 10.6.7 and I have downloaded all updates as of today (June 13 2011). I am *not* mirroring displays, of course.
Now, for the record, I still have my old MacBook 13", which the new one was supposed to replace and this problem is *not* present. 1920x1200 on the external Sun display uses all the screen. That laptop has an NVIDIA GeForce 9400M video card. Its MacOS is also 10.6.7, with all software updates as of today.
My current suspicion is the new MBP is somehow trying to force the aspect ratio of the external display to be that one of HD, but it is only a suspicion. Any help with this please? Is something known? Is it a feature or a defect of my laptop and I should try to get another one? If it is a feature, does it mean that I will not be able to fully use any of the three 24.1" Sun monitors that I have? (one at home, one on each of my two offices?)

Full text not getting displayed while using RSRT

Hi,
I am facing issue while downloading data using RSRT in BI system.
When I go to RSRT and execute a report the output doesn't display full text for a characteristic. i.e. the characteristic has a size of 60 characters, but only 30 chars ( approx) are being displayed as report output in RSRT.
COuld anyone here please help me in getting the full text using RSRT transaction?
I am not using Bex here for the reason that the output has more than 1.8 lac records and hence I get an error while using Bex
WHen I try to execute this report using Bex for a small selection I could see full text there.
And there is no text master data maintained for this characteristic.

As you said you have 1.8 Lac records, There is no point in increasing the size to maximum number possible i.e 65K .
You have following three options to satisfy your requirement.:
1.    Usage of web reporting for export of more than 65k rows. According the note: 1127156 - Safety belt: Result set is too large, in BW version 7.x it I possible to set parameters that would allow such a massive export of data.
2.    Functionality of OpenHubs. Data can be placed directly into the files (e.g. in CSV format) on application server. Be careful here OpenHubs are specially licensed and by using it there are additional fees.
3.    Coding of custom ABAP report which runs BW query and gets all its output and saves it in the flat files.

Navigational Attribute is not properly displaying

Hello,
We have a "Sales Group" navigational attribute YCUST_SAL-YSALE_GRP in a BW report. We have adjusted a sales group for a customer in R3 from F10 to E49 and hte same has been pulled to BW side,.
we have activated the master data manually and we are able to see the new data is available against the customer.
But when we refresh teh report, for that customer we are able to see only F10 as the sales group,.
For cross check, we have sales group display property also. where we are able to see E49.
Please let us know why we are seeing inconsistency between display and navigational attribute for a same infoobject.

It seems Master data is not activated properly....
Whether the query is fetching data from Aggregates, if so you have to do Attribute changerun for this infoobject
goto SE38 and run this program RSDDS_AGGREGATES_MAINTAIN it will Info object name...Provide your info object and execute...

Pasted objects will not properly display.

I have several users at my company who are experiencing the same issue. The issue being, that when they paste objects that were copied from other programs into an Outlook 2010 email or they receive pictures objects in an email, those objects' source formatting
is not displayed. Instead these objects show up as a blank white square within the email. I've attempted to follow several of the previous threads concerning similar issues, but have yet to find a fix for this.
So far I have made sure that the Cut, Copy, and Paste options under the menu Options > Mail > Editor Options > Advanced tab are set to Keep Source Formatting (default). However, this does not prevent this issue from occurring. I've tried recreating
each user's profile as well as re installing one user's Office 2010 suite entirely. I'm starting to think this is caused by a windows update error of some kind. May I please get some assistance with this.

First of all, please make sure the users are editing emails with HTML Format. If it's Rich Text Format or Plain Text Format, when pasting the objects it's easy to lose some original formats.
Did this issue occur suddenly since an update? I haven't heard any report about such issue so far.

XML entities not properly displaying

I have an XML doc with apostrophies and such and have changed
them to the proper entity (') however, regardless of
whether or not I change them they are always displayed as
"'" ...anyone know why? When I publish my flash file my
XML text is displayed as such:
"The cat's hat fell off."

Hi,
this is probably because there's only one "end of line" character (probably after <?xml ... ?>). This is normal, but you must store the second line in a string data object, which will then receive the whole XML stream (except the xml header as it is stored in the first line). And that's done.

Flash 9 Text Not Properly Anti-Aliased In Flash 10

I use Flash CS3 to author .swfs for Flash Player 9. recently
i noticed that Flash 10 is not displaying the anti-aliased text
from Flash 9 content correctly.

). The above image is Flash 9 text playing in Flash 10. The bottom
image is Flash 9 text playing in Flash 9. The removal of the fine
coloring makes the text much sharper looking. It's not ideal,
especially for smaller text of size 10 and below.
Is there anyway i can create a Flash 10 file using Flash CS3?
I've tried using the trial version of Flash CS4 to do this,
but it really doesn't play nicely with my current CS3 project. LOTS
of "missing fonts" as well as the working stage not rendering
correctly in the program. I'd rather avoid CS4 all together as it
seems littered with issues, and i'm in no position to start from
scratch.

Have you checked the font?
Are they the same fonts in Word and Pages?
Some applications maintain their own font folders.
There is also a possibility of font clashes, a problem with OSX having dfonts, ttf and sometimes otf fonts all with the same name. OSX is a bit of a mess with font management (as well as color management).

Not properly displayed report in JRC but in CR designer

Hi,
The report has two XML data sources and data are displayed in a Table. Table is designed with multiple column feature. When I run this report in CR designer preview it works fine. But When I run it in JRC, data are displayed on the report. But not in the expected format. Totally different than the CR designer preview.
We are using Crystal report 2008.
Can you tell me the cause/ solution for this problem?

Custom field's text not getting displayed in standard report

Hi All,
I have a requirement like this .
There is a Custom field which we have added in a standard FICO report ie S_PL0_86000030 ( G/L Account - Balances ).
The custom field is added through a report painter , while seeing the config of report painter the custom field is showing the selection text , but when we run this transaction S_PL0_86000030 , the technical name of that field appears in the selection screen .
For example if the field is ' matnr' then we give the text as 'Material Number' . Then in the screen this field is getting displayed as Matnr instead of Material Number.
Please suggest me on this.
