Widgets are broken / missing

after my last apple software update, most of the standard widgets that come built into dashboard have gone haywire. in the 'widgets' widget (the one that allows you to turn widgets on and off, sort by date, etc.), the standard apple widgets, such as weather, stocks, address book, calendar, etc., are now labeled with the widgets icon (i.e. the black square w/ four icons).
i can't install any of them to my dashboard, and the ones that i had on my dashboard have disappeared.
any ideas on how to fix this?

To reinstall the original Apple widgets you can use Pacifist. This program allows you to install individual files or folders, without reinstalling the whole OS. It takes some searching on your install disk where the widgets are located, but it works.

Excel ActiveX invoke nodes are broken

I am using LabVIEW 2007. We are using a VI that runs on most of the PC's in our facility however on some the "invoke node" related to Excel functions don't operate. They are broken and the VIs won't run. We get errors that the "Invoke Node: contains unwired ro bad terminals". When going to select methods or properties not all of the properties are shown as seen on the functional PCs. Some of the properties are missing from the selection menus, thus making it incompatible.
Has anyone seen this problem and a solution?

What about separating the compiled code from the source? I recognize that this will only work in LV2010, but I expect that that will prevent the compiler from breaking activeX code that depends on a different version than the local one...
Testing this idea is on my to-do-list, but I was wondering if anyone has tried it already.

Cannot install yesod: There are files missing in ...

I'd like to install Yesod. According to this page, you need to do "cabal install Cabal cabal-install yesod".

Anybody knows how to figure this out?
BTW, I know that Yesod is available in AUR, but there are many dependencies and I don't want to install them manually.

Hmm I just tried using yaourt, and apparently there are broken dependencies here and there, so I can't build it

I even uninstalled ghc, and re-installed it again. The same errors still occur.
Anyway, I think I'll wait for a while, untill all the dependencies are updated.

WCEM Used DCs are broken in the Track.

WCEM 2.0 standard DCs are broken in my track. May I know if any one can give me the Dependencies list that are required for the SC in SLD and CMS?

You will need to import the following SCAs into your track:
ENGFACADE
ENGINEAPI
FRAMEWORK
J2EEFRMW
MDMJAVAAPI
SAPBUILDT
SAPWEC
SAPWECFRW
Also, as part of the track definition, you need to ensure that SAPWEC and SAPWECFRW are included as developed components (and they must not be excluded from deployment).
The development guide defines the procedure for creating a WCEM development track quite well, so this would be worth a look to ensure that nothing was missed during track setup.

Widgets are painfully slow.

I consider the Dashboard/Widgets running on Tiger on my 12" PowerBook to be nothing but a boondoggle. A superfluous bell or whistle added to Tiger to justify a switch to Tiger for all the people not interested in Automator, Spotlight, and...Mail2?. First, they load painfully slowly. Second, they seem to occasionally reset their preferences (weather in San Cupertino?...umm,no) Third they do not provide information that I can't get to more quickly using Safari. Is there a reason why they are running so slowly? Is there a way to juice-up their performance? I have them on my G5 PowerMac as well. They're a bit quicker, but still not quick enough to use them more than seldomly. I feel like I must be missing out on all the hoopla only because it's such a chore waiting for the darn things to load. But then what? My homepage has the temperature, my finder bar has the time, date and Gmail notifier. How can I enjoy Dashboard and what am I missing? I just don't get it and need help. Thanks. A countdown timer to Rent? Ughh!

I have a faster PowerBook 12", but I find them slow to load to. But I think it's the connection to the Internet that holds them up. They all want to access the Internet. But you might upgrade to more memory, if you really want more increased speed. I felt that putting 1 GB extra in my PB really gives that extra "snappiness". Still, the widgets are slow. Also remember, any widget opened takes about 30 MB of your memory (after you have started dashboard once). So don't have any open if you don't use it.
On a sidenote, the most useless Widget is the Google widget... Why would you open Dashboard to access a searchbar, when it will open Safari which has the same searchbar. Why do two steps if you can do it in one?

reference?)" and "The type or namespace name 'WinComboBox, UITestControl, WinTitleBar.....etc' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)". in the error log is showing the error number are "error CS0234
& error CS0246".
Actually i have created build for automation execution from MTM lab environment. i have to assign the build to the test plan. once the build is passed , i will assign to the test plan and run with automation options.
if i build the solution its getting successfully build. but when i run the created build definition it show the error message's.
Could you guide me how to resolve the above error's ?

It means your project cannot find the proper reference to your type "Visual Studio" from the namespace Microsoft.
May I ask this question, does your build definition means something like the following blog described?

If that is the problem, may I ask whether your build agent is in the same machine where you build your application?
The build agent will first search for the reference from its local GAC and if it cannot find it, the error like you said will reports. Please manually build your project from your build agent machine to see the result, or install Visual Studio to your build
agent machine. In that way I think your problem may fixed.

Servers where patches will not install automatically or manually, Live updates are broken and when checking installed updates shows "NO UPDATES ARE INSTALLED ON THIS COMPUTER" SFC \SCANNOW will not run

Hello, (Bit of a long one but please read)
We have 3 servers in same physical location and server OU etc that are exhibiting the exact same behaviors (we have server servers in this location that are not), as above theyt are all W2008 R2 SP1 and all built from the same standard
image we use on hundreds of other computers, they have also been in production for different amounts of time and we started to see this behavior at different times with them: (Its odd they are all in the same site where there are also several other servers
that are not effected, there must be a link ? )
These servers are all missing several patches when checking our internal tool that reports from IBM endpoint management that we use to deliver patches (they are not all missing the exact same patches some ore or less than other), although
SCCM (we used SCCM to deliver patches until around 6 months ago) and IBM EM are both running (some ptches hark back to the SCCM Delievry days) they are not patching and when attempting to patch manually by downloading the exact patch coresponding to the fixlet
ID and the KB , the stanbdalone installer starts and after some time you receive an error message “The update is not applicable to yoru computer”. Windows update returns error 80070006 for all of the servers.
it is worth noting that other applications and products also using the .MSU extension will insatll so it is not a problem with the installer service.
The above led me to think a corrupt patch may have stopped the sequence of patching so I then looked in “Programs and Features” => “Installed updates” and this is blank for all of them returening the message:
“NO UPDATES ARE INSTALLED ON THIS COMPUTER”. (this I believe is a part of the fundamental issues and resolving this may resolve the patching)
Another issue is that if you run “SFC /SCANNOW” It starts the scan and then returns: “Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation” (Also in safe mode and both from an elevated CMD and WMI is started as a service)
The all three are probably related so I think fixing the “SFC and NO UPDATES SHOWN” issues will resolve the first.
The things I have tried so far are:
Running : wmic qfe list full /format:htable > c:\updates.htm Should produce a list of updates but instead returns : No Instance(s) Available (this is not hopeful)
Fix: Ran the “SYSTEM UPDATE REDINESS TOOL” from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821
Result : Update Ran successfully but NO CHANGE
Fix: Ran the automated and manual fix “RESET WINDOWS UPDATE COMPONENTS” here :
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058/en then undated windows update agent.
Result : All ran successfully and NO CHANGE
Fix: Ran MBSA
Result : Runs successfully and then stays at “Done downloading security update information” (Log gives no obvious information)
Fix: Renamed the software distribution folder/restarted services (Various variations of this fix online, tried a few)
Result: Runs as described in article with new Software distribution folder being created,
NO CHANGE
Fix: Create/Correct the reg key for windows trusted installer located here HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing\Version (several articles relating to this and the above issues)
Result: the existing key was correct as should be from internal system information gathered , required in article.
Fix: Ran the “Windows update trouble-shooter”
as here :

Result: It detected and fixed error’s but still no change.
The WMI Repository checks out on them all for both of the methods I know to verify “Get-wmiobject –list |measure” and ensure count is over 900 and also “C:\>winmgmt /verifyrepository” and the repository came back as “WMI Repository is consistent”. I guess
this is not hard evidence the WMI is OK, but these are the only methods I know.
I have also tried removing the server from its OU , running a GP Update and then rebooting and testing but to no avail (Bit of a longshot but tried to link the distinction between the three servers and the OU GP is one of them)
I have tried a few other articles registering .Dll’s etc , but I did not take a note of links as I was at the start of this and didn’t expect it to go so long so please reply with anything you see not above im happy to try again.
I have thought about removing SP1 and reinstalling it but this will require a major downtime and only possible if the backup files of SP1 have not been removed.
Any help is apreciated !

I'm totally new to C#. I'm trying to modify existing code to automatically rename a file if exists. I found a solution online as follows:

About Authorization and Deauthorization.
Follow the instructions in the above link to deauthorize all and then authorize only the computers that you physically have access to and need authorized.

Weather and Stocks widgets are not appearing in my notification center

I just updated my iPad 2 to iOS 5 and the weather and stock widgets are not appearing in my notification center. I tried to look for them under the notificatns tab in the settings app to activate them (which I read in an unofficial article) but they're not there. Can anyone please help?

Why are Albums missing from the Albums "tab" in Photos app?

I just upgraded to the new version of OS X with the new Photos app. All of my photos transferred over to the new app correctly, but not all of my Albums are showing up in the new Albums "tab" in the Photos app.
For instance, my "Honeymoon" album does not show up on the Albums "tab," but when I search for in the Photos app it will appear.
How do I get all of my Albums to show up on this tab?
Additionally, does anyone know how to change the "timestamp" on photos?

You cannot redownload audiobooks.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.. Copy them from your backup copy of your comptuer.

This implies your site is not properly defined in DW. Go to Site > Manage Sites.
Or simply go to your other installation of DW and export the site definition file from Manage Sites.
Save it to a flash stick or other removable drive. Then import the STE file into your 2nd installation of DW.
