Widows 7 runtime error R6034 installing iTunes

For the last 5 years I have had my iTumes account on a Gateway XP dual core x64 computer.  From this account I have added 5 iPod containing my 38G music collection, an iPad, iPhone3, and recently Apple TV.  According to the info provided on my account only the iPhone 3 and the iPod nano which has been missing for 3 years are on my account. All the other devices are working as long as they are charged.  In the process of installing a update 2 weeks ago things went South.  First message  at install : mobile device not found - not sure if this was the missing Nano.  Clicked ignore, and then run time error  R6034 appeared for both iTunes, exe and iTunes\helper.exe. R6034 states An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact application support. {itunes help is one of the programs not responding}  The final message was iTunes was installed incorrectly, please reinstall.  After restoring from 3 weeks ago, deleating iTunes completely and then iCloud from this computer the problem has persisted and now I no iTunes on this computer. Anyone, including Apple techs staff who should be answering the problems they create, have a solution?  I have 2 other Widows 7 computer [x64] which I can transfer my iTune  backup data to the iTune program which have not be associated with the satilite Apple TV, iPods,Pad and phone.  Your help for an old man trying to keep up with this ever changing software will be greatly appreciated.

  • Apple pls fix this - MS Visual C++ Runtime error after installing itune 9.1

Ever since I upgraded itune to the latest version 9.1, I kept getting the error messasge below when I start up the computer. Tried restoring system to a previous date, and uninstalling & installing itune a couple times to no avail. Any idea what's going on and how to fix this? I had to remove itune to be able to use my computer (ugh). The irony is that the itune upgrade was mainly to enable ipad. Now that I have my ipad I can't use itune.
    The error message reads:
'MS Visual C++ Runtime Error' - 'Runtime Error'
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the support team for further assistnace.

Some people have reported that Apple Software Update can cause this error, so you might try removing that and see if it helps. Removing that utility should not affect iTunes, though you won't get automatic updates (you can just download any new version of iTunes or QuickTime manually and install it). It would, however, be wise to make a backup of any purchased content or items that would otherwise be difficult to replace, just in case something goes wrong during the removal.

  • I tried to install the latest version of iTunes on my Windows PC, but the installation failed and I have the error message "Runtime Error R6034 An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly."

I tried to install the latest version of iTunes on my Windows PC, but the installation failed and I have the error message "Runtime Error R6034 An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly."  When I then tried to run iTunes (assuming that, since the new install failed, my older version was still OK) I got the message "iTunes was not installed correctly.  Please reinstall iTunes.  Error 7 (Windows error 1114".  I tried then uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling it fresh, but encountered the same problems. Help!

  • TS2363 Why do I get a runtime error R6034 message when installing iTunes 11.1.4.62 on my WIn XP (SP3) system?

iTunes prompted me to download and install the newest version of iTunes (11.1.4.62). I followed all on-screen prompts. iTunes installation gets to the very end, then I get a popup stating that I have a Runtime Error # R6034 "an application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly. Please contact the application's support team for more information. Okay, I am doing that. FYI, I am runnning Windows XP (SP3). Oh, and BTW, now iTunes is COMPLELETY unusable, and I cannot synch any of my multiple iOS devices. Help please!

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    and paste into:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

    Hey Debbiered1,
Follow the steps in this link to resolve the issue:
iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376
When you uninstall, the items you uninstall and the order in which you do so are particularly important:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.

  • I'm unable to open itunes after the recent upgrade. Runtime error R6034 is the error message. I recently replaced my iPhone and I don't want to loose my data by uninstalling and re-installing the itunes?

    Hi,
I've recently replaced my iphone 5 and I couldn't restore my data into my new phone, as it asked me to do the software upgrade on itunes in my computer. So, I did the itunes upgrade, which is now causing the Runtime error R6034. I wonder if I would loose my data (i.e., can't restore the data into my new phone), if I follow the uninstalling & re-installing steps. Plz advice, as how this runtime error can be fixed and at the sametime, I will still be able to restore my data into my new phone.

Uninstalling & Re-installing iTunes will not delete your iTunes Library Data.
    Do the following:
Uninstall from Windows the following four programs: iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour and Apple Application Support. You do this from an applet in Control Panel called Programs & Features (in Windows 8, 7, or Vista) or Add or Remove Programs (in Windows XP).
Download the latest version of iTunes from Apple and note the location you're saving it to so you can find it once it's done.
Run the iTunes installation as an administrator, just Right click iTunes installer and Run as Administrator.

  • TS5376 I have been trying to install Itunes for the past 1.5 days without success.  The method outlined here did not work and gave me the same error messages as before  Runtime error R6034 and  also error 7

I tried the latest Apple fix to resolve the installation issues of iTunes 11.1.4 and had no success at all.  This was the fix that asked you to remove .dll files and place them on the desktop before unistalling and reinstalling iTunes.  I followed the procedure exactly and obtained the same results as before.
    Namely,
Runtime Error: R6034 -An application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly
iTunes was not installed correctly.  Error 7.
At this point, after spending 1.5 days attempting to install iTunes I am giving up.  Hopefully, someone will come up with a fix that really works and I will install it then.

    Hi
I had the same problem on my PC's with Win 7 and Win XP.
    I solved it this way:
    - De-install iTunes, best with a special tool, like, for example "Your Uninstaller" from Ursoft. Any other un-installer will do the job, provided it cleans the registry of traces from iTunes
    - De-install "Apple Mobile Device Support". This seems to be the culprit. It is a sub-program of iTunes. But if you just de-install iTunes this sub-program stays in your PC. If you still have it on your PC and you try to update to 11.1.4, it will cause these problems.
    - De-install also "Apple Application Support", but I am not sure it is really necessary, but de-installing does no harm, since it will be re-installed automatically.
    - De-install also "Apple Software Support", but I am not sure it is really necessary, but de-installing does no harm, since it will be re-installed automatically.
    - Re-start your PC
    - Download the latest version of iTunes from the Apple webpage and install it.
For me this worked on both of my PC's.

  • TS1717 While installing an the latest update to iTunes, my Windows program sent me a runtime error (R6034).  I can no longer open iTunes. Advice?

While installing the latest updates to iTunes, the istallation stopped and Windows sent me a Runtime error (R6034) and suggests that I contact the applications support team.  A second message appears to tell me that I should reinstall iTunes. Error 7  (Windows error1114)  Any suggestions?

I had the identical problem with Runtime Error R6034s starting this week (on 1/22/2014) when the latest iTunes update installed.  Tried deleting and reinstalling iTunes several times, but that didn't work.  Someone suggested deleting the update.  I found the "Apple Application Support" (93.2MB) update installed on 1/22, deleted it, reinstalled iTunes, and now iTunes seems to work OK.  I don't get the repeated Runtime Error R6034 and Error 7 message, have been able to access the store, and play my saved music OK.  My only concern is that the update will reappear and cause a repeat problem.

After iTunes update I see this - Runtime error R6034 "application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly".  ThenUninstalled then I also get iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes error 7 (Windows error 1114).  I've tried fixes for runtime but computer says there are no errors.  I've uninstalled/reinstalled iTunes and get all the above messages.  Now when I start up my computer the runtime error pops up, but once it is closed computer works fine until I try to open iTunes.  I've even tried a system restore going back to November.  I use iTunes for audiobooks on iPod and I'm going to get desperate soon.
