Width and components acting weird

Question

I have a parent Sprite A, that I add a Label component and a
List component to. The Label is placed directly above the List
inside of Sprite A. No matter how I change the width of the Label
and the List, Sprite A always reports a width of 115. How can I fix
this so that it reports the actual width?

My guess is that it isn't a problem with Sprite, but rather a
problem with components.
Components don't resize immediately. Because they have
complex redrawing schemes, you setSize() and then one frame later
the component is redrawn. Internally the component knows how wide
it is supposed to be so if you query its width property you see the
value you expect.
But the parent Sprite doesn't know about the internal state
of the component, it just knows how bit it actually is, so that is
why it reports the old width.
After one frame they will both be back in sync.
