Width of loaded picture
Can I trace the width of a loaded picture?
I thought it would work something like this, but it won't
work..
Replacing currentPic.width with Holder.width should work.
Also you have to update the
Holder.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onLoadComplete);
to
Holder.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,
onLoadComplete); as 'dzedward' said.

It crashes when I down load pictures and then try to use them. Converting a jpg to a pdf usually triggers a crash.

You crashlog shows, that iPhoto crashes, when trying to draw the "Print" theme background. There could be a problem wit the installed themes. Can you convert any jpegs to pdf, not only the jpegs downloaded from your iPad?

P.S. I'm new in java!Your code worked okay as-is. Here I'm loading in a jpg from the "images" directory which is in the current (".", dot) folder. The 'getImage' method returns immediately, ie, it doesn't wait for the image data to be loaded. We use MediaTracker to load the image data before trying to use/draw it. Bad file path and data-not-loaded are the major stumbling blocks in image loading. Another is corrupted image data or unrecognized format; try another image. The swing tutorial has a page "How to Use ImageIcons" with lots of related information. Also, one of the applet threads has image info.

Unable to load pictures with mac osx..
I was wondering if anyone knows the reason why I'm unable to load pictures with my macbook for e-bay when I sell??? It just keep turning and turning with no results...
Is it the new operating platform (osx) or what could it be?? I have tried it with an older mac, had no problem loading them....

If so, then you might try digging out the preference file from your library/preferences and see if it generates a new, non-corrupt one. If it uses a browser interface and that is stalling, then I'd suggest using a different browser. You can also ask ebay support.

just installed PS 13 elements and loaded pictures into organizer. after using PS editor now organizer is not reloading. I keep getting error message saying organizer unexpectedly quit, do you want to reopen. When I click on it to reopen it doesn't and I get the same message again. I rebooted computer, still did it, I uninstalled and reinstalled the program and I am still getting the same error message. This is on Mac OS with yosemite. Any Ideas Please!!!

Hi.
I've built an application which, among other things, loads
pictures in some thumbnails. The people for whom the application
was have been changing the pictures for several times. Now they've
done that again, but despite that they have changed them still the
old pictures appear no matter what. I've even deleted the cache and
still the old pictures appear.
The code for loading the picture is exactly this one:
thumb_mc.loadMovie("Poze/thumb1.jpg");
Unfortunetly i don't have acces to the server so i can't
verify the corectitude of their work. So i am asking is it possible
to happen something like this using that code? (there is no picture
in the .swf file; everything is dinamic at runtime).

hi i've just signed up for lightroom and when i go into the develop screen i get a blue screen with a cross through it and it says cant load picture. any idea how to get around this?
I'm having same problem in develop module which is laggy as hell compared to LR5.8

Can't load pictures from camera to my iPad since installing iOS7
I have routinely used the apple product adapter with my camera's USB cable to load pictures on my iPad. However since installing ios7 I am no longer able to do this. I get a this accessory is not compatible. I am confused as to why an apple product is not compatible with an apple accessory?

There are a different ways to do this:
- Open the photos one at a time and take a screenshot. This will add a new low resolution copy of the photo to the camera roll, which will then upload to your photo stream.
- Email the photos a few at a time to yourself, then save the attached photos to your camera roll. This will add a copy of the photo at full resolution to your camera roll (if you choose to send them as Actual Size) and upload to photo stream.
- Use an app like PhotoSync, which will allow you to wirelessly transfer copies of all your old photos to your computer all at once. Then delete these photos from your camera roll and use PhotoSync to transfer them back from your computer to your camera roll. These will be the original resolution and will upload to your photo stream. (You need an App like this because iTunes will not transfer photos back to your camera roll, where they must be in order to add to your photo stream). -

Some mail programs, including Apple Mail, can reduce the size of images that are attached to a message. It's happening at the sender's end, and all you can do is ask the sender for a larger image.

Use the d2kwutil library to use one of the open_file() function allowing user to select a file from its disk, then use the Forms Read_Image_File() built-in to populate an image item. If the block is based on a table that has a BLOB column at the image item place, the image will be stored in the database column at commit time.
Ensure you have the latest patch of Forms 6i, which would be patch17 or patch 18.

Is it possible to load pictures from a computer to your ipad. When modified my camera pictures and reordered them, I was unable to load them to the ipad. I could copy but not paste. If I reinstalled them on the memory card, the ipad did not recognize them.
The iPad can be pretty picky.
One way, if you sync your iPad to your computer, is to use iTunes to 'sync' the photos onto the iPad. Of course that has the downside of if you sync them on you have to use iTunes to sync them off.
Or you can download the iCloud control panel and use photostream to put the photos onto your iPad. WHen you install the iCloud panel and enable photo stream it'll put a folder on your computer. Import photos into that folder and they'll go onto your iPad (they do transfer via wifi so it's not exactly an instant thing, might take a few minutes depending on your network and file size.
Or, if you have a few, you can e-mail them to yourself, open that mail on your ipad and save them from there.
Or, to use the camera kit, you can import htem onto your iPad, but the camera connection kit requires a very specific naming protocol. There must be a folder named DCIM on your memory card, and then all files on that card must be in that folder and have a name of 8 characters. If you follow the naming convention, once you plug the memory card in the iPad will see it and allow you to import the photos.
there are also third party photo apps I just dont' have any to recommend.
One more thing to bear in mind, even if you rename the files, the ipad persists in organizing the photos by date, so I'd experiment and make sure it doesn't totally rearrange your files before you spend a lot of time on it. (third party apps may respect the name of the photo and organize it that way rather than by date first, then name)
